  • @deez9805
    @deez9805 4 года назад +1

    This is why I say coaching is VERY important when it comes to playoffs. You have to have a coach who knows how to strategize and set up certain actions because of tendencies other coaches have. Spo thought of the counters to brad’s counters. This is going to be an amazing series bc finally I think Brad is going to really feel like he was outcoached in a series. Hopefully the experience will take the Cs to new heights. I just don’t think they are equipped right now to beat the Lakers or Heat unless Tatum and JB play out of their minds in GM1-5. Everybody getting 20 is cool but somebody’s gotta go off for them to take the game. Tatum gotta go out there trying to put 50 on Jimmy’s head if he wants to get through this heat team. Otherwise they might as well start packing.

      crewcutter2030 let’s do the math. They were scoring on almost every pick n roll, let’s just go with 60% to be on the safe side, even though they were more efficient. Everyone on the Heat shoot

    • @crewcutter2030
      @crewcutter2030 4 года назад +1

      @@ja1720 you dont understand, that 40% includes contested shots, so if you leave them open, specially for a team that gets hot really fast, that percentage shoots up pretty high, an open 3 point shooter from an nba player is almost 100%, you can see them during warm ups, these guys dont miss much.

    I've been calling their offense Spurs- esque and people have called me stupid, but they lead the NBA in postseason passing and the smart, methotic offense and ball movement reminds me of the Spurs.

      It's a good call imo.
      I guess the only obvious difference I see is if the cutting and screening actions don't work they don't have Duncan in the post who can get a high % shot off.
      Spurs played some of my favourite offence, but part of that was also going Duncan and Parker pick and roll, even if not to score, just to get Duncan in post scoring position. The Heat team don't quite have that option. But yes I agree with you.

    Plain and simple the Celtics are playing as if they thought because they have the better skill players they wound win. Naw. Not going to work against a team like Miami. Stevens is being out coached and those skill players for the Celtics were starting to believe the hype. The heat said ok, you can have the better skill players but you won’t out work us. You won’t our scheme us. You won’t play harder than us and we have an offensive system that makes your so called #2 defense look bad. Kemba is being owned by the heat. That’s a big part of it. The Celtics need kemba for offense but his defense is hurting the Celtics. Miami is the better team all around. It’s showing. The Celtics are imploding. If Boston loses tonight it’s over in 4. Miami a less blood in the water now and they haven’t even played their best game yet.

    Butler had one of his best game against bucks in game1, but since then he has gone cold and hesitant in shooting.
    Is that because of great defence or just him not having confidence in shooting?

    • @zergterran7409

      im guessing hes only shooting when hes rly feeling hot, regardless, hes a very clutch player who can make crucial plays

      Butler is giving the 1st half scoring to his teammates. When you watch the Heat all season, he always thrive in clutch moments when the team needs him the most. He doesn't need to score 20+ every game, he just want to win it all.

    Is winning by the skin of their teeth really “lighting up the Celtics?” In game 3 the Celtics actually lit up the Heat. The Celtics have had the lead for nearly 3/4ths of the first 3 games. To me the story is the Celtics blowing leads by playing a clock milking ISO style late with a lead rather than continuing to play the style that built the double digit lead they’re squandering.

    2:05 is there a reason "points per chance" is referenced instead of the more common "points per possession", or are these the same thing?

    • @coachdaniel8163
      @coachdaniel8163  4 года назад +1

      Points per chance doesn't take into account offensive rebounds I believe. And because it's such a small sample size, often per chance gives a better representation of what's actually happening. Usually the numbers don't differ too much though.
