    That really is a good idea to have a dedicated grow room, my only concern is the high humidity might cause mold and fungus

    Good morning Nora. Thank you for teaching us how to use leca. Could I please have your advice whether I can transfer a ctenanthe pilosa to Leca. I have it in soil at the moment. Thank you greatly.

    Would this mean no gnats because there isn’t soil? I’m so sick of swatting these pests

      @caress8973 11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! I transferred mine to semi hydro after watching Nora's videos and I have no fungus gnats

    • @erikm8372

      Depending on your own views & opinions on “organic” gardening, there are some powdered insecticides available that are remarkably harmless and stop fungus gnats, in addition to ALL pests, in potted plants. In America, the brand we have is Bonide and it’s called Systemic Houseplant Insect Control. It truly is a godsend, especially for pest-prone plants or plants with hard-to-clean leaves (like a _Hoya carnosa compacta_ ‘Hindu Rope’). As long as you don’t eat the granules or allow pets to eat it, and don’t dump it down the drain-as with any chemical-it’s perfectly safe. I’ve used it since 2008 and never looked back.

      Fungus gnats for me are a distant memory. A remnant of my 'soil' days.
