- Alphard Golf eWheels Rovic RV1S with wheelie bar backyard testing. Silicone remote sleeve. Showing driving the unit with both the front wheel swiveling and locked.
Thanks for this video! I've been debating getting this versus other remote control caddies and now I know I want this after watching this video. I'm going to also get the TFS and see how that works. Thanks!
I just got my wheelie bar and already was using the eWheels with the Rovic RV1S. What height setting for the wheelie bar have you found works best? The default is the lowest setting and that seems very low. I won't have a chance to test it for a while but put it in the middle...thoughts?
I smacked my left ear sitting at work watching with airpods in because I thought a mosquito was attacking me.
I have the RV1s and Alphard V2 thanks to your video and have been loving it! Do you happen to know of a good storage bag for the RV1s that fits nicely and protects the cart? The only one I’ve found is the wheel protection cover. The problem with that is that it’s designed for the cart with the original rear wheels.
Unfortunately I'm using the same wheel cover as well. I have tried wrapping it in an old blanket and putting it in the trunk as well.
I have the Alphard Golf eWheels, and am trying to figure out the best model of push cart to have to accompany it. I am leaning towards the Rovic RV1S, as shown above, after having similar issues with the 8.0 model, primarily not being able to turn effectively. Have you been happy using the Rovic RV1S, and is it one of the more compatible push carts with the eWheels on the market? Thanks!
By far the rovic Rv1s has been superior to the 4 wheel cart. Last round it wasn't turning well and I realized I had the front wheel locked. It's amazing how much easier it is to turn quickly with a swiveling front wheel! I have been extremely happy with the Rv1s and like that on certain courses which have steep hills I can lock the front wheel to keep it from turning too much. It is the best combo for me.
@@93civiccpe That's extremely helpful, thanks so much for the prompt reply! Have really enjoyed the videos!
I was thinking that a 3.5 plus has bigger wheels and and it would be more stable and easier to drive on a hilly course. I might need to help it turn by hand in trickier spots. Do you think I would unhappy with that choice.I think I am mostly trying to save the work of pushing it up all those hills. Do I have to power it off to push it around some tight turns by hand ?
TheJohnPoole no, in one of my on course video I show how I use a hand to help it turn around tighter turns. I think you will be happy with that choice
Is it possible to turn while stationary? When turning, does the wheel on the side to which you are turning spin in reverse, or does it simply not spin at all? Does cruise control have any impact on the answer to either of the previous two questions?
Yes it turns when stationary. It drives one wheel forward and one on reverse. The cruise control has no effect. That just keeps the cart from racing away on a steep downhill. (I just tested and verified the above)
Alphard suggests that you ALWAYS keep it in cruise control. That makes both wheels turn at the same speed. I wonder what would happen if you go sidehill with the swivel wheel. Will it still want to fall towards the bottom of the hill? Can you test this? Thanks for these vids.
Peter DeFazio Good Afternoon, that's a great point as I don't believe the cruise control was turned on for that footage. I'll try this out and get the results up in my next video.
I was about to ask the same question. Looking forward to hearing back on this when you get a chance. I have followed exactly in your footsteps - started with the Model 8 as I already owned that, but the lack of maneuverability made me pick up the RV1S. Waiting for the brackets from Alphard so it will be sometime next week before I get to try it out. Thanks for all the videos - very helpful!!
OK, so you've had this for a couple years. Would you buy this again or no? Im waiting for the V2 to get here from China!! Im torn between this and the MGI Zip Navigator from Costco. Thx for your videos!
I still use it and have yet to have an issue so I certainly would. The battery still lasts for more than a round and the remote works great. I do like the idea of the quick switch batteries and the flow feature of the V2 so I may upgrade.
@@93civiccpe What is the "flow" feature?
@@dennisd4027 my apology.. It auto-corrected. It should have said "follow feature". Instead of having to control it with the remote the new V2 has the feature where it will follow you.
@@93civiccpe Yeah, I've seen videos on that tether system. Not sure how much I would like that but we'll see. I guess i would be more interested in the gyro system that seems to stay straighter than the original version.
What an amazing property. What's your general location?
Central Virginia, West of Richmond
have you ever tried the clicgear 4.0 and installed the 2 front wheels to make it into a 4 wheeled cart?
Unfortunately no, I have not tried that yet.
I did, it’s great
Is it possible to attach V two to the four wheel type of the click gerer eight model?
I believe so. The 4 wheel models don't turn as well but I believe both versions will attach with the correct kit
@@93civiccpe Thank you for your quick response. It means that the three wheel type has a better rotation. It was helpful.
Do you lose the rear brake with the install?
Yes, but I find the motor holds it just fine unless on a steep slope
@@93civiccpe Thanks!
Anyone know how to stop it going left, mine does what it wants
I have not heard this issue. I wonder if the right motor is having issues and not turning as fast. I would reach out to their customer support.
