This looks and sounds just what I want! One thing about all the RTS games I've played that does start to grate is the repeating audio clips when you click an action so I hope they include a nice random assortment of voice clips to keep it fresh. Looks amazing!
Those "I'm on it!" and "Yes, sir!" are so irritating! I would rather have a small non-spoken confirmation click or unit animation that confirms the command was delivered.
Given the dev has focused on audio for a lot of the game's atmosphere (to the point of having military folk doing accurate comms chatter) I imagine he will have a large assortment available.
They really captured the expanse feeling in the latest combat gameplay trailer. So many good games out and coming this year, I'm starting to feel spoiled.

This game keeps looking more and more promising. I just hope they add a bit of variation between the factions. Would be nice if their ships are slightly different designs, even if the weapons and tech are the same. Maybe even a couple bits of unique technology per faction would be an awesome touch. It would be amazing if one faction had unique stealth tech so you cannot see their ships on radar or until they are almost ontop of us.

For the scale of big spaceship games to truly be appreciated, people must somehow be made present in the game. We have to see them being blown out into space, or maybe welding repairs outside of the ship, or something. No people = no scale.

Developers if you are listening to us, I hope you impliment a sort of officer system where you have an assigned crew, but if a VO, XO, an officer on the radio dies or is incompacitated a new voice on the radio comes up in replacement of said officer. Attention to details like that. Also other reports could be nice; 'Conn, Weaps tube one thru four loaded.' 'Weapon Ready!' 'Solution Ready! 'Fire!' Or 'Conn, DCC, decompression reported in engineering. Engine power failing.' Just to name a few.
I am in total agreement on the 'if it gets delayed' front. He should be allowed to take all the time needed. Otherwise you end up with Cyberpunk 2077's launch. Or No Man Sky's launch. Or any other game that fans pressured to be released before it was ready.
This game looks great. I have been watching it for a long time. Just wish they didn't put it out so early as I feel like its not going to actually release for a few more years...and I have been drooling over it for a few years now already. Thanks for this look at it Raptor.
every piolet has their own preferances on UI just like how UI mods saved wow from being dead due to old UI i think all games should start allowing custom UIs.

Something I really dislike seeing how inaccurate ships are with their guns despite being almost point blank at start of engagement. And when they go broadside they still are missing shots. That is unacceptable at least it would make sense if it was long range and ships going evasive or something but this big no because it take you out of battle how stupid it is. These two ships open up with such high volume of fire and then like 80% of shoots are just wasted. There is absolutely no need to these ships to be in knife fight like this anyway but to be in one and not be able to hit jackshit is just insane lol
they're literally ripping off the expanse tv show for all those cinematics... and speaking of which, surely one of the bigger mods for this game would be the expanse mod, lol... that being said, the combat is below my expectations, it's looking pretty confusing and the visual looks like it's lacking punch, especially when I'm comparing it in my mind with Nexus Jupiter Incident. and oh, there's also that Nebulous Fleet Command game, which is a far more tactical game.

I remember playing a demo for a Star Trek RTS when i was a kid, wouldn't mind seeing something like that again.
There's a Star Trek mod for Stellaris. I tried it once and it was pretty good!

You would probably run out of supplies as these ships are slow.
The problem with that, is that the ships are slow and the map massive. It would take an unfun amount of time and they would run out of fuel.
@@vyst8132 actually if I remember right, the ships only spend fuel when they jump, so you are more likely to run out of food.
