people don’t understand that if you don’t own the physical copy you really don’t own the game, it goes beyond aesthetic
*Laughs in romhacks, emulation, modded games/systems, literally doing as I please with my games as I see fit.* Do you really own the game if you have to stick to the default after your first experience? Here I am on my 5th+ play through of X game because it's new and fresh from all these modifications I can make to a game I own and love.
@@tyrianswhy the hell should I have to do all that if I literally paid for the game…..gimme one reason fammm I get free games
@@allyboouwu My guy, you clearly misunderstood my entire comment lmao.
The problem is more and more games these days don't even have the game on disc. The disc is basically just a download link.
@@slushie4649 damn near all of my switch games are physical I have like 2 paid downloads and the rest free to play physical is for sure the way period I love being a owner 😏
proprietary memory is what killed the PS Vita honestly, it was way too expensive. if Sony advoids that and also 3rd parties give it full support, it could be awesome
The PS Vita was already the PSP2 internally (for Sony and the system itself), so if there is a next PlayStation portable console it will be probably called PSP3 at least internally.
Here is my personal thought on the subject:
Rumors say that the new console will be backwards compatible with PS4 games... Not sure if it's feasible and even a good idea.
I mean, to me the most important thing for a portable system is to make it affordable, handhelds consoles are too expansive today and Sony can win a lot of people if they keep the price low.
Basically it should be a more powerful and modernized PS Vita with new buttons (create L2/R2 L3/R3), some basic rumble features, microSD cards and USB-C.
It should have backwards compatibility (emulation) with the PS1/2/P via the Store so it won't have "no games" in its early life.
The console should also be backward compatible with PS Vita games and use the same cartridge format for that, PS Vita fans will be more than happy.
Every PS Vita gimmicks have to be kept for BC, let's not forget that a gimmick can be appealing for casual gamers when used correctly. The cameras can be accessories like the Go!Cam to reduce the price.
But most importantly, it must have exclusive killer apps and focus on AA, spin-off and indie games.
I will love the new PlayStation portable style
The psp was the first handheld console hibrid
After the Switch I’m down for every console just being portable/hybrid. It’s so much easier as an adult especially.
Agreed, it is really nice for traveling
I want it to look more like the Vita 🔥🔥🔥🔥😤
The good news is a Micro SD card adaptor for the PSP is DIRT CHEAP! $5-$10 and requires NO modding or hacking of the hardware to use. Just get one that uses one card the ones that hold 2 at a time are unreliable as can be. I have gone as high as 64gb some say 128 or better is fine others say they screw up on you but you can always experiment. The vita adaptors pretty much all require hacking the vita but take a win were we can get one with the PSP.
No back back touch all button inputs
PSP style but I bet they got for a more switch/steam deck style
It does make sense for Sony to make PS4 Portable. It doesn't need to have its own games.
Most likely it is going to use Jaguar cores for the best compatibility. Jaguar is really efficient with modern process size and that low frequency.
GPU going to be new and have m.2-ssd.
Which they won't support properly like the rest of the hand held and vr products they release
If it were a true successor to PSP WITH physical games, and it llneup it'll be able to play justifies it, I'm all for it. If it's just a digital-only thing, hard pass. I'm not interested in ONLY being able to have digital copies. It's the best of both worlds if they simply make physical games AND have the option to download them digitally - just charge a bit less for digital to incentivize it - $59.99 for a new digital release, $69.99 for a AAA physical release. If they REALLY want to incentivize digital only, then the price on digital only needs to be enticing - REALLY enticing - like $39.99 for digital, $59.99 to $69.99 for physical. Even THEN, though, for a series I collect, like Final Fantasy, I'd STILL pay more for physical.
Probably be a Grand with todays prices
Hopefully not lol
Most of PSVitas good games, and games in general were released in Japan and ONLY japan. Rom hacks are needed to play them.
I’m down for a new vita capable of running ps5 specs. It’d make running the old games a lot easier too. And when hacking comes to this new handheld it will be even better than the vita!
Ps portal is sooo much lost potential. IT would be mobile full portable system
That's what I'm sayin! I'd love to have a whole separate library of games and be able to take it anywhere all the time
I fucking hope so!
HATED the back touch. having acutal man hands, got in the way.
Agreed
This is a fake rumor. There is no new PlayStation handheld (Vita2, PSP3, whatever) coming.
One could only hope for one in the future
Sony is a lame excuse for a console dude I'm sorry but xbox lyfee
I do love Xbox as well, I wish to see an Xbox handheld console in the future lol , know the steam deck came close tho
@@Bouldini_ low-key same I wanted one but it's cloud also apple so big no over here lol
