- Really not that long since their debut, The Smile returns with a sophomore project that is tighter and more emotionally poignant. This time around, it seems the trio are attempting to make the project closest to a Radiohead album. Hope y'all enjoy!

Radiohead is my all time favorite band too. I love this album. Teleharmonic blows me away. Read the room, and Under your pillow. are awesome. I love I quit and you know me too.

Love the flute-like backing on teleharmonic and that track is a grower that I didn’t like at first but now I fucking love - but best lyrics have to go to Friend of a Friend, most epic track goes to Bending Hectic
Teleharmonic hits me right in my core. It’s the fucking bass. Simple, yet perfect.

If you haven’t seen Live From The Basement king of limbs live… you may just change your mind on its ranking. Not everyone’s fav but I kept with the record till it seeped in and I can’t unhear it. If fact I pulled a rip from the DVD and it’s how I love hearing it. Two drummers and …schwang!
I never watched it in full but basement is great, especially the rendition of Bloom
First the smile album was good but wall of eyes just hits different, they don't have the pressure of making a Radiohead album and they make the music that they want, been a Radiohead fan from the start (40) years almost and imo nobody can touch them but the smile are keeping me happy until we get album 10 which I think WILL happen 👍
Also can't wait to see them march, Glasgow 👍
The end of Under Your Pillows is like the end of Not The News but stretched out like 20x
Teleharmonic absolute gold but we all know Bending Hectic is the centrepiece

I'm loving this album, a shame I Quit is your least favourite, as it is my favourite. I love ethereal music and Boards of Canada type IDM and I feel like the song has so many subtle psychedelic layers that I am predisposed to loving.
Yeah, it just simply didn’t engage with me as much, but I do like you discussing there being psychedelic layers. Makes me want to pay close attention to it. I still need to listen to more boards of Canada, I’ve only casually listened and never put a full album on

I dont get these video where they Listen ONCE and rate it. This album is reliant on Repeat listens and on which Medium and loudness you Listen to it. Its half "mellow" but some parts totally Rock. (On first Listen its like in rainbows, nothing much really there). Then it grows.
When i heard wall of eyes for the first time i caught myself dancing and absolutely enjoying it.
