Love this video! Totally true.. I'm moving to Portland next spring from Miami Fl.. visiting Portland since 2007 every year and totally love it.. rain or shine .. my son and family lives there and a big plus, I used to live in California for 30 years between LA and SFO ..I like Miami but rather living where I can enjoy more of nature, outdoors, hiking, good food, nice people etc I will miss warm beaches here but personally, a lot of thumbs up to move to P-town

That's great Gloria, the access to nature has been amazing since moving here. We love being able to go for walks through the woods right down the street. Reach out to us when you are ready to make the move. We would love to help you find a place!

Gloria. For your description of the places you have lived, I think your biggest adjustment will be to the one mentioned in this video. That would be the long dark, rainy winter months. But don't worry. After enduring one full winter, you will know what to expect instead of always thinking, "Doesn't it ever stop raining here" And remember., that rain has the benefit of making Portland one of the greenest cities in the USA. So I say, go for it. Especially with your immediate family in the area to break you in. You sound to be just what Portland needs in a new resident.

I feel bad for anybodys mental health who has to live in Oregon. I did so much better in life after I left.

That's funny because I feel the opposite way. I just got back from San Diego and was relived to be out of the traffic congestion. Everywhere I went it was packed. Feels so peaceful in Oregon.

Love your video! moving to Portland area this summer for work in Gresham, but have heard not to live there. Could I ask where you might recommend to look for a young (late 20's) professional where there might be other young people. Not really a city guy, but not really wanting a bedroom community either. Thank you!
