Great drum intro to a great glam rock classic from the Sweet. Mick Tucker was the drummer for the Sweet and created rock history with this lick.
Excellent Lesson!
Are you ready Steve? Aha
Andy? Yeah
Mick? OK
Alright fellas let's go!!!!!
This was a hit in 1974 when I was thirteen, I'm now 59 and it's as good today as it ever was because great music is timeless.
The Sweet were talented.
😎thank you

You are very talented
Hi. Good video but not how I hear and play it. Listen to the drums only track on RUclips. I think you've got a New Orleans type influence going on there. Mick Tucker ( don't know if you gave him a namecheck ?) was influenced by Buddy Rich and Sandy Nelson to name but a few. Have a listen to "Let There Be Drums " with Sandy Nelson on drums. After the main solo, Sandy kicks into a similar groove to "Ballroom Blitz". Then listen to Sandy's influence on " Own Up Take A Look At Yourself" by The Sweet I'm not knocking the presentation of your video which is superb , but, Mick Tucker was one of my earliest influences and , I'd like him to have a bit more recognition and make sure his rhythms , musicality and drumming legacy survive in the right hands. Thank you for the video. It is a great groove ! All the best
could you post the written music notation? you seem to have the best interpretation of this beat but it would be easier to follow with the notation.
p.s excellent video

Beautiful drum set and Dynasonic. Are you part of the Rogers Drums USA FB group yet? Come join us.
Excellent. Thank you. But I wish the microphone would have been closer to you so that I could more clearly understand all your words. Most of your words aren't clear. Most people who make videos don't first test the voice clarity.
Train beat ? Haha it's a 'shuffle'.. Have you actually listened to the record ?
Steve Ellis It is a train beat!
@@christiansibera8051 If you listen closely you can feel a slight swing in the 8th notes, so it's more or less of a shuffle
Well… he’s playing the song so I assume he’s listened to the record many, many times. Check out my cover :)
Nope, not right!
