They need to make more tender available. They want us to play the game give us a reward for doing just that. If you achieve one of the trading post achievements then just fork over the tender.
I seem to remember getting a mount or entire mog set as the end reward in earlier months. And I agree with many that the cost of things have gotten really high. (That Warden's set, especially the white one, was not only great as a set but really fun to work with by changing out the back or head piece, etc.)
The reward should have been the pair of mounts. Every other time they have Horde/Ally mount we get the opposing faction 1 as well. This is the xpac release month, should have been a much more exciting reward to celebrate.

violet is a colour associated with dalaran (the violet hold). It seems a bit odd for the trading post to be celebrating a city being targeted. Especially in the very same month that the battle for dalaran is going to ensue.
This month’s is especially disappointing due to the actual tender shop itself. We used to get a lot of modernized weapon models of old gear or new “down to earth” weapons and gear…but this month there’s several recolors of old outdated models like that staff with the spinning crystals
I typically buy the mounts, but this month I skipped them both, partly because of the annoying price creep, but also because I have yet to actually use any of the mounts I've gotten from the TP so far.
at this point let me fully complete the travelers log every month for as many extra tenders as possible. Infinite grinds for power suck, but getting a cloak transmog isn't power, why not let me do it?
I understand having to meet a ‘minimum’ level to receive the monthly reward; but it just sucks we are not able to continue to collect currency above that.
honestly I don't think the rewards are even that bad. The problem is that the free reward that you get for completing the track (and which serves as the 'highlight' of the month's offerings) keeps being one of the lamest things on offer. Which feels like them forcing you to spend more tender to get the desirable items with more value, which in turn comes with the implication that you might want to refill that drained supply of tender by purchasing some microtransactions.
They keeping on adding to many high cost items and low quality stuff. I can see one high cost 600 items. The rest should be well below 400. We only get 1000 tokens a month. Make a quest or something to get more tokens, With better quality items.
The one good thing about the trading post is the little transmog toy that let's me change my transmog anywhere. I absolutely LOVE that toy. Other than that, Blizz can have trading post back, I don't really care.
I think it could be that they knew the past few months would see player pops dip, so as not to create a huge reaction of FOMO, they lower the quality of the awards, while maybe as player pops rise going into next month, they bring back those awards to try to incentive seeing through a sub.
if that's the case that's really shitty, mainly because I don't watch streams cus most of the time they're up its like the middle of the night for me or at the crack of dawn combine that with a mediocre internet streams have always been kind of shit to me. Just a thought, but to me it would make more sense to have a sweet war within related monthly reward for September since the expansion comes out at the end of August...
I think if they just reordered things and had a decent reward and didn't inflate the cost for the items it would go a long way. I think there has always been a mount, but they choose not to make it the reward for some reason, idk.
I thought this month was actually pretty good, and I was pissed because I felt they'd been withholding a bunch of good stuff for just before the new expansion comes out so they can better sell the editions that come with extra trader's tender.
I disagree on not having time to create art when we got hundreds of items in mop remix, both new and recolur. One cool thing wouldn't hurt them per month
Sometimes the trading post has awesome stuff on it. Sometimes its a bit meh. Wait until next month. I got my fairy wings recolor that goes with my trans mog this week. SO I'm not complaining.
Ive never seen the point be missed this fucking hard. Its not that there aren't new exciting things every month. its that instead of having the new exciting things as the monthly reward they are making us pay tendies for them. August should have been Wolf and Cat mounts as the rewards not a terrible back cosmetic.
We do not get enough tenddys! I buy a mount and i cant buy anything else because the store prices are to expensive and we have no way to earn more tender. I don't care if it is challenging give us a way to ern more! and maybe lower the prices and give better fill bar rewords.
You just don't get enough and everything they put out cost to much. 1000 tender per month, 2 mounts for 1200 not counting the Pet, Cosmetics, etc. It is a joke of a feature that was once really cool.
I wish they would recycle some of the items to buy there were plenty that people missed and would buy. Also some of the previous rewards could be added for purchase. And some of the purchase items as the monthly reward. That would give plenty of stuff
I think one of the big reasons for the trading post downgrade in quality is how it strongly discourages new and/or returning players and how that was becoming an increasingly bigger problem, cause if you're a new player and have missed a year and half of both tenders _and_ monthly rewards, well, you are kinda screwed, you have effectively lost an staggering amount of rewards that you'll be lucky if you see come up again, but even if you do see them again and you want them, it will be at the expense of losing out on a current reward, so you either lose out on them again or you lose on the current reward and in both cases you're betting on them coming back (this is especially for returning monthly rewards cause they tend to be quite expensive). And the issue with that is that it's gatekeeping rewards that are both cool/new and also extremely easy to get, it's already controversial enough when seasonal rewards go away but at least you have the explanation of "it's representative of completing X content when it was hard" (regardless if you agree with that or not, at least there's a reasonable logic behind it), but with this is just "oh you're a new player, well you're f-ed". Both new players and players who take a break will forever be behind cause there's straight up no way to catch up and that goes strongly against some of the main goals for WoW currently: Getting a healthy growth of new players and managing the FOMO of the playerbase.
I kinda stopped caring about it. Im not a collector. Sometimes I'll pick up some transmog stuff like the watches or wings (the wings are lame anyway, why not have different, bigger kinds instead of tiny reskinned butterfly wings but I digress) most the mounts suck, most the weapons suck, most the transmog for the last 6 months have been recolors. They obviously just gave up on it, hopefully the spark comes back in TWW but I'm not holding my breath. At least this month they brought back the mog toy so thats nice because I missed that one before. I used to be excited for the blog post showing the new rewards each month, now i forget the trading post even exists until like the end of the month half the time
I’m really not understanding the existence of this game mode. While I enjoy it for what it is, I find myself accidentally completing the trading post on the first or second day of the month
I completed the trading post grind for this month in one day, just from running the prepatch content... I have just been buying the cape and headslots for the most part, as nothing is really unique anymore. Recolors of existing gear is meh, especially when its low res textures.
I mean all they would’ve needed to do is to take a set or a weapon from ww leveling and make a recolor. Boom theres your rewards or tpost content. How hard is it? Or recolor old stuff, mounts etc. 😢
Their manpower is just spread too thin, happens every time with any new thing in the game, most of it is abandoned forever, eventually. Sometimes it happens in huge cuts after 10 years, like less dungeons and raids or BGs, new zones. Shrinkflation
of course they abandoned it.. they got immediate backlash when people thought they were adding a trader's tender buy coin pack... there is no incentive for them to care about it now...
They should just have new stuff be like ... every other month and rotate the old stuff in between. That way people have time to save up and if they missed something they can still get it.
I'm dumb. I maxed all my alts on my main account thanks to MoP Remix and wanted more, and thought, "If I add another account, I'll be able to make more alts AND get more Tranders Tender!" but came to find that the Tender was capped at a certain amount account bound. It's cool though because I want to see how far I can fill the alts up before MoP ends :P
Yall got the logic backwards. Good trading post months and rewards are for when the rest of the game has nothing going on, not for when everyone is going to be resubbed anyways
Yes the rewards suck now. Yeah the prices have been inflated so they point you to spending money on more tender bundles. But have you noticed that store mounts have started to lose their trash status? I mean you can get a few of them with tender now, sooooo..... maybe that guy on the star horse didn't buy his? I think this was a small sub goal they had in mind when they made the trading post.
Wait for Sept. TWW comes out so late in August that by the time the bugs ate out it will be September. If I were them I'd hold the good stuff for next month.
they couldn't monetize it hard enough like they originally planned so they're just cutting their teams up into making a shit ton of AA mobile games and try to milk the shit out of the remaining 10% of their dedicated (and very stupid) playerbase
I wish we could choose the reward. Not all of us like pet battles or mounts or transmogs. I like transmogs but i have guildies that go for pets. I get that it’s “free content” but man sometimes getting a pet over a cool transmog that’s also available that mount for 800 tender is so disappointing. And like you said even those rewards have gone down in quality. We went from getting full sets to a shitty backpiece.
Yeah I went to browse the TP for the first time the other day and I was just like... Wtf is this stuff? There's like 3 color variations if you're lucky, usually 2. There's 1 flying mount, I don't count the steed because that thing is 20 years old and I already own it. This company is beyond stingy.
In all honesty the TP hasn't been all that interesting since last November. Many of the lower end purchasable items drew more attention than the big end of the month rewards. This month was especially painful. If I didn't want the tendies to use for next month I wouldn't have bothered. The Alliance wolf/Horde saber were the .only. interesting items this month. The target back cloak or shield is utterly forgettable. I will never use it unless it fits a Trial of Style theme. ToS is another under utilized asset as well. It's sad that blizzard comes out with interesting gimmicks and quickly falls through with them.
Never cared too much about the trading post. I don't put any value on video game "rewards" things you can buy with money. If the trading post has cool things, that's nice, if it doesn't, oh well.
in game rewards dont make them money. the trading post is like an accelerated version of the game. it starts out good then peters out towards the end. I expected them to start selling the tenders on the cash shop, but it seems enough people were against even having bonus tenders on cash shop purchases that they scrapped the idea and are content with letting the post whither and die because its not profitable enough now.
this month is even shitter because if you don't have much tender in reserve because shit keeps getting expensive and you have a shared family account and you have someone that keeps buying the trash: you can only really afford ONE of those mounts, I was able to get the OG Recruit a friend horse because its a cool flaming horse and I cryogenically froze the wolf so Hopefully next month I can get enough tender to buy it. I also want that trappers quiver back, there are literally 2 quivers you can get in this damn game now, one of them is tied to the marksman's Weapon and the other to fucking Sylvanus in SoD. give me more quivers or make quivers and ammo pouches the ranged equivilent of weapon illusions.
The watch. Does anyone actually wear that thing? It's barely even visible. It's the worst "reward" ever. I'm mad every time I see it in my transmog inventory :p
Didn't watch the video, but to answer the Thumbnail, No, they haven't abandoned it. They are spending all of their time rushing to try and finishing TWW. and the rest is going into try to develop 2 more expansions on top of that. It's no an excuse, just a reason.
They keep the good stuff for when there is less content coming. Trading post keeps player retention when there is not much going on (like last patch of Expansion). Why burn good items now when people come for zhe expansion anyway
I picked a couple of rly nice things from it. But what infuriates me the most is that they sometimes introduced some old piece of gear there, and it was freaking low-res low-poly garbage. Like come on! Don't try the cheap excuse that it's in a way how it was back in the game years ago, make it modern! Upscale the textures at least, come on!
Wow just throws rewards at players in various forms, even when some players play very little or do niche activities completely unrelated to the rewards. So these rewards feel useless and uninteresting.
@@Shiirow eeehhh theres no other alternative for MMO players right now so i mean it's entirely possible. Throne and Liberty is no real competition, the same goes for ESO and i don't even consider FF14 an MMO most of the time. New World is essentially dead, the Riot MMO got restarted and Ashes of Creation is still many years off. people love to hate on WoW but it's the only home MMO players have for the next few years at least.

It might just be me, but I think the good stuff will be saved for the streamers. When the war within comes out, like drops
if that's the case that's really shitty, mainly because I don't watch streams cus most of the time they're up its like the middle of the night for me or at the crack of dawn
combine that with a mediocre internet streams have always been kind of shit to me. I dont have the attention span for them either, never really have.
yeah, they gave a TGC mount in the past as drops, im sure this is in their philosophies.
@@BlueFireDrakka bro stop crying
theres hundreds of not thousands of streams you can choose from, they're literally always active.
just throw the quality at 180p and mute the stream it's literally that easy.
@@Giliver I'm not crying I legit just do not have the time to watch streams
I was just saying its shitty that what should be accessible to basically anyone who has the time to play WoW should be IN WoW
I shouldn't have to watch twitch to get an old mount that can't be gotten anymore because the Cards are out of print.
@@BlueFireDrakkaif you have time to play wow you have time to put a stream on in the background boss man
Just a thought, but to me it would make more sense to have a sweet war within related monthly reward for September since the expansion comes out at the end of August...
I think if they just reordered things and had a decent reward and didn't inflate the cost for the items it would go a long way. I think there has always been a mount, but they choose not to make it the reward for some reason, idk.
I don’t mind the trading post being an end of patches dev time gets used for trading post. Every month does need to be insane.
I thought this month was actually pretty good, and I was pissed because I felt they'd been withholding a bunch of good stuff for just before the new expansion comes out so they can better sell the editions that come with extra trader's tender.
Yep. they don't care. We are not hating. We are just saying the truth. They just don't like it.
idk, one of the mounts from this shop list shouldve been monthly reward...
I think the target on our back is a great metaphor for the quality of the current trading post.
Was this the stream from Monday? Was it MEMBERS ONLY?
It's also been a lot of like, Manic Pixie Dream Butterfly stuff? I don't mind that it exists, but can we ALSO get some more classic WoW looking stuff?
You just don't get enough and everything they put out cost to much. 1000 tender per month, 2 mounts for 1200 not counting the Pet, Cosmetics, etc. It is a joke of a feature that was once really cool.
well august mounts are nice but thats about it. Also I agree that trading post got lot worse over the time
I wish they would recycle some of the items to buy there were plenty that people missed and would buy.
Also some of the previous rewards could be added for purchase. And some of the purchase items as the monthly reward.
That would give plenty of stuff
I've been subscribed to the main channel a long time, just stumbled upon this clip. What is the name of the podcast channel this is from?
What website are you showing us?
Those are notion docs they probably made themselves
I completed the trading post grind for this month in one day, just from running the prepatch content...
I have just been buying the cape and headslots for the most part, as nothing is really unique anymore. Recolors of existing gear is meh, especially when its low res textures.
Let's be real, we knew it would happen. They always seem to squander the rapport they build up with players.
I mean all they would’ve needed to do is to take a set or a weapon from ww leveling and make a recolor. Boom theres your rewards or tpost content. How hard is it? Or recolor old stuff, mounts etc. 😢
I wonder who thought anyone would pay $9,99 for what, 5 weapon transmogs? in the ocean of transmogs we already have...
Their manpower is just spread too thin, happens every time with any new thing in the game, most of it is abandoned forever, eventually. Sometimes it happens in huge cuts after 10 years, like less dungeons and raids or BGs, new zones. Shrinkflation
It will probably get back up to speed after the first season of tww.
of course they abandoned it.. they got immediate backlash when people thought they were adding a trader's tender buy coin pack... there is no incentive for them to care about it now...
Christ man u gotta get a job lol
Yall got the logic backwards. Good trading post months and rewards are for when the rest of the game has nothing going on, not for when everyone is going to be resubbed anyways
The funny thing I missed the whole trading post thing up till last month so I was actually really excited to see them recycling some of it's content
The hell do you mean? I got the Horde saber cat this month.
Store mounts will always be trash. Gladiator mounts or gtfo. Wait you can buy those too loool fuck warcraft
One of the best features introduced into the game and here we are arguing pedantics and staring at the horse's mouth.
MTX in a game with bi-yearly expasions and a sub fee is wild,
that Targe looks like Starro the Conqueror from DC comics.
I have like 6000 tender saved. They really just dont release anything cool
We're on the cusp of a new trilogy of xpacs, and I've never felt less enthused about the game, somethings wrong and idk how they can fix it tbh
Saving everything for the bengal tiger!
There's value in this system aside from direct sales. Player retention.
@@stueyman2099 no one is staying subbed to buy an ugly shovel mog.
@@Shiirow you'd be surprised
this month is even shitter because if you don't have much tender in reserve because shit keeps getting expensive and you have a shared family account and you have someone that keeps buying the trash: you can only really afford ONE of those mounts, I was able to get the OG Recruit a friend horse because its a cool flaming horse and I cryogenically froze the wolf so Hopefully next month I can get enough tender to buy it.
Make asses of alar an announced planned drop in the trading at the end of next year. Make it 6000 points. Let people build up to it.
Lol it's ominous, they have put a target on our back, they are coming for us!
Put all the BMAH stuff on the TP and let me buy Trader Tender 😅 and get rid of the wow token.
I like that this month was meh. I need to save up
why fill it with the best stuff when people will be coming back NEXT month for TWW?
Or they have been cooking but are waiting till player numbers sky rocket after expansion launch
hate to break it to you, the numbers are not going to "sky rocket" you will see a shift up followed by a sharp decline.
@@Shiirow eeehhh
theres no other alternative for MMO players right now so i mean it's entirely possible.
Throne and Liberty is no real competition, the same goes for ESO and i don't even consider FF14 an MMO most of the time. (more like a shared world RPG)
GW2 might be WoWs biggest competition but that ones hard to get new players into.
New World is essentially dead, the Riot MMO got restarted and Ashes of Creation is still many years off.
people love to hate on WoW but it's the only home MMO players have for the next few years at least.
So basically people are upset that items are not worth it but they are also upset when items are worth it and then blames Blizzard for making people buy the coins 😂
