2 of my first “old” comics were the King Size FF 4 & ASM 3. Found in an antique store in the early eighties. While I enjoyed the new stories, I was really impressed with the reprints in both issues. Both 2-parters are absolute classics that remain favorites to this day.
Thanks ... I've never seen an actual copy, but more and more I'm getting interested in Patsy and Millie, and also Marvel and DC romance books of this era.
Another great video. When you compare FF Annual #1 to #6, even though it's just a 5-year span, the difference is otherworldly (in more ways than one). That growth of sophistication you might expect from an artist aging from 20 to 25. But Kirby was 46-51.
😎 Because my Uncle Manny was a Thor fan I got to read both annuals. 1968 and my two favorite annuals : The Avengers and The Incredible Hulk my birthday presents to myself. In that same week time span I learned that 'Hippie" was another way of saying hypocrite. My cousin Louie and I were riding our bicycles and as we rode to the nearby park we came across two hippie guys sitting on a bench. We had seen hippie characters on TV and because they were always portrayed as peace loving liberal minded people we thought it would be cool meeting them. They were two of the most prejudiced , unfriendly college know-it-alls we were surprised to encounter. After that experience my cousin and I wised up about false images and because I was a Marvel fan I was disappointed that Stan embraced the college scene. I know I read most of the '66 and '68 annuals as well as Not Brand Ecch and Marvel Super Heroes , my favorite issues being the one that featured my #1 😍 Marvel -licious Maiden - The Magnificent Medusa ! My other two favorite issues were the ones featuring The Black Knight and The Guardians of The Galaxy but not because of the lead features but because of the two part All Winners Squad adventure. It was always a worthwhile visit to my local Mom & Pop store to check out the spinner rack .
incredible hulk cover is unbelievable beautiful
Great video thanks.
They were the best something to look forward to for summer
Great stories of a GREAT era! Thank you!
Great video, loved it and I love early Marvel annuals! Don’t be so tough on DD annual #1, one of my favorite comics! ❤
Avengers Annual #2 still one of my favorites. Remember first seeing it on the stand a dropping that precious quarter.
Mine two first explore of a Marvel Multiverse

I love watching your videos. The Fashion Parade Annual consisted of one page pinups, no stories! Unusual, to say the least!

Nick Fury in Vietnam? I bet that one has aged really well and held in great esteem by Marvel now!
Thank you! This brought me back to a beautiful era in comics.
The Patsy Walker Fashion Parade Annual looks like fun! Cheeky! I owned the Avengers Annual shown here. It was great!

Do it !!! ,lol
Those Marvel Annuals and the DC 80 to100 page Giants of the 60,s were truly classic compared to the worthless trash they produce these days
