    "The tip of the iceberg" is a common expression also used in Spanish as well as "to sweep it under the rug".
    These wonderful videos are deeply welcome, they are really useful and your explanations and examples help a lot to understand words and expressions in context. Great Dan! Well done Deep English!!

    Thanks for your interesting story. Yes we have in my maternal language a similar expression to the "tip of iceberg ".We say ( in Latin letters) " i corifi tou pagovounou" means just the same.

      I also remembered one that resemble (tall tale) in my country we have an idiom (فلم هندي) or (قصة عنتر )

    Thanks for video. The expression “Tip of the iceberg” exists in Russian. The French expression is slightly different:« la partie immergée de l'iceberg» ( the visible part of the iceberg)😀

    very nice and useful we can improve our English language by watching and then practicing with ourselves so do me a favor and help me to improve my English faster and I want to boost learning English I have to mentioned this at the first that I am from Afghanistan now I live in Finland as a refugee or asylum and I have much more times for learning it is important that I want be to as translator or English teacher as soon as it possible I would like to work with foreigners.

    In germany we have the corresponding idioms "Es ist nur die Spitze des Eisbergs" and "Etwas unter den Teppich kehren".

    Here in Brazil we translate the tip of iceberg as Ponta do Iceberg, something as spire atop of iceberg.
