Since I forgot to bring it up in the video, I'm gonna go ahead and jump the gun and bring it up now before literally half of my comments go into it.
I do not think Luigi should have electric shots instead of fire balls for his Neutral Special. The Thunder Hand was only in one game, and we never saw it again. I don't care if it's different, he's used Fireballs way more often. Different does not equal better.
Plus the Green horizontal moving Fireballs reference the first Mario Bros game, which was Luigi's debut game. The Green Fireballs are way more important than the Thunder Hand.

    This is pretty good.
    For some ideas:
For pikachu, every attack that uses the tail could have the tail turn to silver, as if it was using iron tail.
And as for Luigi, I don’t think he should shoot out electricity, he’s used fire more than electricity. But I would think it would be neat if his forward smash had electricity effects, as a nod to Superstar saga, or heck, just turn his forward smash into the electric palm attack itself. since Smash Ultimate is a game that praises both the old and the new, I think a reference to the first Mario and Luigi game (the ones made by Alphadream) would be really good.

    2 ideas for luigi
    1, give him a polterpup taunt/victory
2, as he uses it for his grabs - have his throws use the element medals from the first luigi mansion games (eg. Forward/back be fire up be water and down be ice)

    • @thedman1754

A note regarding Luigi, and more specifically the Final Smash. Personally I think it should remain basically the same... FUNCTIONALLY. Some visual changes could be made to strengthen this, but given that Luigi is using the Poltergust G-00 from Luigi's Mansion 3, the final smash could be a nod to the Super Suction from Mansion 3. I get it's the same Final Smash he had in Wii U and 3DS, but maybe that was an inspiration for Next Level Games to make the Super Suction. Regardless, to make it a more accurate reference to the ability, the wind that visualizes the sucking of air should be a blueish purple, and there should be some yellow sparks coming off of the Poltergust G-00. At that point, I think it'd be a great Final Smash for Luigi, at the very least make a (imo) good Final Smash for Luigi even better.

Keeping Luigi's final smash the same would make sense, As in Luigi's Mansion 3. He gets access to a super suction ability in certain locations. So just supercharging his down B still fits within his character.

  • @Robertz702

I can see Pikachu's new side special being Iron Tail. Pikachu would do a front flip and the longer you charge it, the more damage it does similar to Skull Bash. If used in the air, the move can also spike opponents when they are at high percent.

    • @jamiecooper9100

I’ve actually been making redesigned movesets for older Smash characters myself, and I find it funny how similar your ideas are to mine for Luigi’s Up-Special. Although, for his Up-Smash, I had the idea for Luigi to charge up like he’s going to perform the Super Jump Punch, but when the attack button is released, a small ghost pops out of the ground behind Luigi and spooks him, causing him to jump up in fear. It could actually work almost identical to your idea for his Up-Smash, but with Luigi’s head being the sweetspot for his attack instead of his fist. But things like the height increasing the longer it’s charged could stay the same. I just thought it was a cute way to draw a parallel between Mario and Luigi while also adding a reference to Luigi’s Mansion and referencing Luigi’s cowardice.

  • @paddythelegend1671
    @paddythelegend1671 2 года назад +29

Another change I would make to Luigi, that is purely athestical, is make him wear the poltergust all the time instead of just for moves that use it. I've always wanted Luigi in smash to feel like he was taken from Luigi's Mansion, more than mainline Mario. Like how Wario is based on WarioWare, but to a lesser extent.
Also you could make Luigi's final smash look closer to those mega sucky sections in Luigi's Mansion 3. Maybe even include Gooigi helping him.
As for Pikachu, the changes you made are pretty good, but I would personally change his nuetral special. Thunder Jolt is a move only in the TCG. Something I'd change it to is Electro Ball. It would honestly just be a slightly slower, slightly more powerful version of Thunder Jolt. Or if you want to change it completley, Iron Tail could be fun.
Also really off topic but for a character you covered earlier, I think it would be a cool purely visual thing if Mipha's Grace activated everytime Link respawns after losing a stock

Ghostbuster Luigi is the best Luigi, though I have been seeing an arguement be made that Wario should embody less his games because they each have so much and how they're implemented in Ultimate is oftentimes messy and lean too heavily towards Waft and instead embody Rudeness, since he is the rudest Mario character, heck he is *THE* rude Mario character and that is why people wanted his Bash attack back, not only because it is a part of Wario Land, a series that has basically been outdone by WarioWare and fans want to have more representation of and also a series that is just much more Platformer than WarioWare, but also because it is such a powerfully rude gesture to shove someone out of your way. And as far as I can see it from what I see from his character as expressed in his games, yeah he should be more rude. And then there are the Duke of Dork's arguements that he should be much more "manly", as in, he should basically be personified as cartoon Masculinity, from it's toxic aspects being chalked up more. Like much more strong attacks. And then there is his argument that his unhinged personality in Smash should be toned down and much more replaced with the aforementioned Masculinity and his Stupidity and Egotistical "this is Wario's world and we're all just living in it" type of vibe to his moveset.

Fun fact his final smash isn’t just the poultergust, it’s the super suck that you can use later in the game of LM3, so I think it fits even with the poultergust down b, although I think the polterpup should be featured in some way wether victory animation or taunt since it’s Luigi’s pet dog and help represents him as an character more especially with the animations they could play with it.

Luigi is quite the conundrum when it comes to brainstorming redesigns. You might be tempted to lean more into his moves from Luigi's Mansion to give him more distinction from Mario's playstyle, but much of Luigi's personality is about being in Mario's shadow, so making him too distinct from Mario hurts his representation in that sense. Quite the tightrope for poor Luigi.

I'm imagining pikachu's Spark side special like a weaker version of Fox's side special, but with a small AOE at the end!
For Luigi, I could picture him having a Strobulb down special, capable of charging a blast of light to temporarily stun opponents! It could get longer range the more he charges, and would work like Mewtwo's stun, only hitting foes that face Luigi. This can help him close gaps on zoners and give him another option to start his wacky combos- obviously at the cost of his current powerful multi-hit move. It would reflect his actual ghost-catching methods from his own games!

Given how solid Pikachu already is in competitive, I'm personally content with his design as is.
That being said, if I had to add something to spice up Pikachu, I think it'd be neat if Pikachu had a Limit-esque bar that buffs him when full, except Pikachu can only fill it by landing normal attacks and/or running across the ground. This would be reward Pikachu players for being on the offensive and keeping momentum up, and is the closest I can think of as a way to reference his Static ability.
As cool as it would be to change Pikachu's Final Smash to something like his Z-Move or G-Max form, especially now that Pichu also uses Volt Tackle for his Final Smash, I personally prefer keeping Volt Tackle.
Changing Pikachu's FS to a Z-Move or G-Max would likely be made a cutscene FS, and as much as I like the spectacle of the cinematics, it gets kinda annoying how many characters already have them. Volt Tackle letting Pikachu zip around the stage with a little player control feels like a better representation of Pikachu as a speedy Pokemon.

Here’s my ideas for changes to Pikachu and Luigi:
-Pikachu should definitely have a Detective Hat for an alt, obviously referencing the Detective Pikachu game and movie. As for whether it would change its voice to actual words, I think that’s a change we can do without.
    - Pikachu should have a taunt that has it eat a berry from the series. They are a big part of the series gameplay after all. Maybe it could be randomized, showing a different berry each time.
    - Luigi could have a taunt that has him nervously call out “Mario…”, just like in the Luigi Mansion games. Obviously it would be different if Mario was in the same match, probably more excited and happy.

I love all of your changes to Luigi! He definitely needs the Poltergust to be a bigger part of his moveset, even if it means removing it from his Final Smash.
As a potential replacement for his Final Smash, what if we re-created the chase sequence from the final boss of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon? A giant King Boo appears behind Luigi and starts chasing him. Luigi panics and runs away while King Boo gives chase and damages any enemy he barrels through. Luigi himself gets a speed boost while King Boo is chasing him, so the player can easily run around the stage and guide King Boo to collide with enemies. Luigi is also invincible for the duration of the final smash, so King Boo can't actually hurt him... but Luigi doesn't know that, so he's panicking the whole time.

And this next one may not pertain to movesets, but it is still noteworthy:
Detective Pikachu costume. It needs to happen

I love your ideas for both Pikachu and Luigi, but I would add smth to Luigi.
    - I think for his Final Smash it should start the same... but instead of vaccuming the opponents Luigi accidentally releases the ghosts who will fly around the stage and attack the other fighters, while Luigi runs around panicking while trying to catch the ghost - much more fitting for the lovable and cowardly goofball he is.
    - For the rest of his moveset I think you made a good work, but I would throw two moves from Mario & Luigi as that series is probably the one that focuses on Luigi the most (after Luigi's Mansion ofc). The first one would be his hammer swing, smth that one user already suggested for Mario but idk where to put it, but his f-smash should totally be his Thundershock from Superstar Saga. The rest is fine.
    - The rest of my nitpicks are for purely cosmetic things and I wish you focused on some of these more, for example his taunts and victory screens which are weird and kind of come out of nowhere. For his taunts I would only change his planking taunt, he could check his GameBoy Horror. I would also change his victory screens I have two suggestions - first one could be the pose he does, whenever leveling up in Bowser's Inside Story and the second can have Polterpup jumping out of nowhere and jumping on him.

When it comes to having Luigi suck other fighters up with the poltergust, I have a couple of suggestions to make it more interesting. The first one is while he is sucking players up he can increase the power of the suction by pressing A during the move, just like he does in Dark Moon. The second one is that he could possibly slam them on the ground a couple of times once he has them secure in the vacuum, much like how he slams ghosts down in Luigi's Mansion 3 and I believe Dark Moon. The latter could be especially useful for getting any opponents trying to get a sneaky backstab off Luigi's back (pun intended), since they would just be launched from Luigi slamming the character caught in the vacuum onto them.

Maybe Luigi's final smash could be one of his dream attacks in Mario and Luigi: Dream Team. It would give some representation of these games and could also have some inputs to better perform the attack, as in the original games

  • @stevesamuals2651

In terms of the two characters, I have two things to mention.
For Pikachu, I feel it'd be better to replace skull bash with electro ball or thunder wave. Both would work as a zoning tool to manipulate space for an opportunity to attack, but one is more damaging and the other is more of a lingering paralyze.
As for Luigi, I feel like you should replace his forward smash with the lighting hand technique from the rpg games. Keeps in line with Mario's flame ball burst being like his fire hand technique.
Also, since Luigi can have more quirk then Mario, I think it'd be neat if he used the rpg hammer for his side tilt, as a means of getting around projectiles.
As for a final smash, how about referencing his strikers charged mega strike? Having him perform the Mario finale attack, but kicking the opponent upwards with a storm charged prism of energy. Essentially a vertical Mario finale.

This isn't an idea per-say but more of a question, for luigi's up special with the burst attack from Luigi's Mansion 3, would it be more of a recovery option sending Luigi high in the air, or more as a "get off me" tool more similar to how it works in Luigi's Mansion where it doesn't send Luigi very high but strong for blowing foes away.

    • @BrawlFan1

    For Luigi
Gooigi from Luigi’s Mansion 3 should be an alt costume just like the yarn Yoshi
Maybe his up special could be balloon related as a reference to Mario Odyssey
For the final smash, maybe it could reference the Luiginary attacks from Mario and Luigi Dream Team. Luigi falling asleep and creating a dream portal would trigger the final smash
    For Pikachu
It would be cool to see Pikachu with a ketchup bottle for a taunt as a subtle nod to the anime and all of the merch related to that idea

  • @bcrossfire1219
    @bcrossfire1219 2 года назад

I think it'd be cool if Pikachu used Surf and Fly as a nod to the event Pikachus you could get back during the Yellow days. That said, I'm also cool with changing Skull Bash to Volt Tackle and Quick Attack to Zippy Zap.
I love that you brought up the fact Luigi's like Mario but quirkier, as that's what my brother and I are rolling with for a Luigi-like character in our own spiritual Smash game.
Luigi's Neutral Special could be the Poltergust as it's arguably become his most iconic weapon thanks to the Luigi's Mansion series. Having a "suck up then shoot out" style of play could be a good contrast to Mario's fireballs.
Luigi's Side Special could call upon his trusty pal Polterpup, who debuted in Luigi's Mansion 2: Dark Moon. Luigi points forward, and Polterpup dashes forward a short ways before returning to Luigi, hitting any foes in his path and possibly bringing an item to Luigi.
Luigi's Up Special could be Booigi. Luigi turns into a Boo using the Boo Mushroom from Super Mario Galaxy, allowing him to fly around for a brief while. I think it'd be hilariously ironic for Luigi to turn into the very thing he fears most: a ghost! It'd be even more hilarious if one Luigi used the Poltergust on another Luigi using Booigi.
Luigi's Down Special could be Statue Luigi, an ability granted by the Tanuki Suit in SMB3 and the Statue Leaf in Super Mario 3D Land. Obviously, it'd work similar to Kirby's Stone special. Seems rather fitting for a fraidy cat like Luigi to transform into a statue in hopes of avoiding battle!

    Two things
    1. Luigi should have the flagpole victory like you said for Mario as well as one where he gets a key, a gem, or an elevator button like Mario’s stars/shines/moons.
    2. Luigi should fire the green fireballs out of his poltergust like the elemental abilities in Luigi’s Mansion 1.
    2. Weird reference, but maybe Luigi’s side special could have him ride the transportation mode of it E. Gadd uses in Superstar Saga? You could even still have the misfire with it!

    Lovely video :)
    Ideas:
Since Pikachu’s up-b doesn’t do electric damage and Pichu’s does, why not keep Pikachu’s as Quick Attack and make Pichu’s Zippy-Zap?
...is what I would say if I didn’t just learn that Zippy-Zap is _another_ signature Pikachu move. Ok-what if Pichu and Pikachu’s up-bs swapped properties (doing / not doing electric damage) and _then_ call Pika’s Zippy-Zap and Pichu’s Quick Attack? Doubly makes sense since Pichu is a more “basic” Pokémon, and it gives Pichu a way to recover without damaging itself. (or keep it as Agility since it wouldn’t actually,, be,,, an attack)
What if we combined the propulsion of your concept for a Poltergust Luigi up-b _with_ Green Missile? It would give the move a bit more origin while maintaining how perfectly awkward and clumsy and suiting the move is for Luigi. Also, I just miss Negative Zone so much ;-; no argument against your reasoning, I just miss it.

Cool ideas here! For Pikachu though I’d rather see iron tail as a side special, or at least somewhere. It’s been a major part of his moveset in the anime since gen 3 and has been on a lot of event Pikachu (and I believe the mangas? Don’t follow those as much). Sure it’s not an electric move but since coverage is an important part of Pokémon and it’s iconic at this point I think it works. I envision it as a overhead tail swing/flip that can still charge to increase range by spinning more, but could be other ways too. I still think volt tackle needs to be in the game somehow but pichu keeping it is good to me since the only way (besides events) to get volt tackle is by breeding and evolving pichu anyways
Also wish thunderjolt at least got renamed to thunderbolt and maybe become slower but stronger, a random made up move when something obvious is right there is weird, and the balloons and surfboard would be cool to see somewhere (probably as a taunt or unique animations when swimming or whatever)

One thing that I’ve always had in my head is about Luigi’s Neutral B, the green fireball. I’ve always hated it, but I’m honestly not sure why that much. The thing that I keep thinking about to replace it is to make it his flashlight.
Simply tapping it could make a very short range and weak stun, but the longer you hold it, the farther it can hit and the longer it stuns. You could jump, turn and move around with it but also cancel with a dodge or shielding. If you get a full charge directly in front of the opponent’s face (like a sweet spot essentially), it could be like a full shield stun. Getting flash banged is not fun. This all could help with making people have to avoid it to get close but because Luigi can cancel it, it could be a bait for some attacks.

I think that for Luigi, He could use Polterpup for a Taunt maybe Up. And for his final smash, He could unleash ghosts from his poltergust to attack the opponents, the attacks could stun them or could launch them very far. You could also do moves in this final smash like Inkling's move. After some time, the ghosts will get sucked back into the poltergust to end the smash.

    Kirby Character Changes -
    [Kirby]
Up Tilt (Baton Juggle): An attack that comes from the Circus ability. Kirby juggles batons, tossing the batons upwards. If the attack button is pressed repeatedly while doing this, the batons will become engulfed in flames and do more damage.
Down Tilt (Slide): An attack Kirby has had since his debut. Kirby kicks as he slides forwards along the ground.
Side Tilt (Parasol Swing): An attack that comes from the Parasol ability. Kirby swings a parasol forwards.
Up Smash (Up Jab): An attack from the Staff ability. Kirby thrusts an extendable staff directly upwards.
Down Smash (Quick Finale): An attack from the Bell ability. Kirby takes out two bells and slams them down on each side. Sound waves are blasted at the end of the attack that can deal further damage to opponents within short range of Kirby.
Dash Attack (Rocket Wheel): An attack that comes from the Wheel ability. Kirby turns into a wheel and dashes forwards at great speed.
Up Aerial (Moon Somersault Kick): An attack from the Fighter ability. Kirby flips upside down and kicks above him. This is much like his previous Up Aerial, however, this one deals more damage and has a small wave that is left behind by Kirby's foot for a second after the attack. The wave functions as a lingering hitbox.
Down Aerial (Falling Spine): An attack from the Needle ability. Kirby dons a pink helmet with spikes on the top and flips upside-down, sticking one large spike and several smaller spikes straight down. Can Meteor Smash opponents.
Forward Throw (Crown Drop): An attack that comes from the Beetle ability. Kirby places the opponent on his head and then flips forwards and slams down on the ground headfirst, crushing the victim underneath him.
Down Throw (Slamming Drill): An attack from the Beetle ability. Kirby places the victim underneath him and then does a handstand on top of them, proceeding to spin around and drill into them.
Up Throw: An attack from the Parasol ability. Kirby takes out a parasol and lifts the opponent up into the air on top of the parasol. Kirby then spins the parasol around, the victim spinning as well. Kirby then stabs the parasol upwards, throwing the victim up into the air.
Final Smash (Hypernova): Kirby eats a Miracle Fruit and begins to glow with rainbow colors. He then performs an intensified inhale that swallows everything on-screen, including opponents, items, etc. Once they are in Kirby's mouth, he will spit them out at very high speeds, possibly KO'ing them.
    [Meta Knight]
Dash Attack (Drill Stab): An attack from the Sword ability and used by Meta Knight in Return to Dreamland. Meta Knight stabs forward quickly with his sword as he slides along the ground.
Down Aerial (Sword Drop): Based on a move used by Meta Knight in several fights against him. Meta Knight drops straight down with his sword pointing downwards.
Down Tilt (Slide): An attack used by Kirby and Meta Knight. Meta Knight slides forwards along the ground and kicks; he also points his sword forwards, which adds extra damage onto it.
Forward Aerial (Chop and Thrust): An attack from the Sword ability. Meta Knight swings his sword in a downward arc in front of him.
    Up Smash buffed.
    Down Tilt buffed.
    Down Smash buffed.
    Dash Attack buffed.
    Down Aerial buffed.
    Neutral Aerial buffed.
    Forward Throw buffed.
    [King Dedede]
Forward Throw (Hammer Throw): King Dedede throws the opponent forwards and then spins around and lobs his own hammer at them to hit them.
Down Smash (Hammer Twirl): King Dedede places his hammer underneath himself, holding the handle with the head pointing towards the ground. He then spins it around, the hammer engulfing in flames as it does so.
    Down Smash buffed.
    Forward Throw buffed.
Side Smash (Hammer Slam): Based on an attack King Dedede uses in Kirby's Dream Land. It's the same as the old Side Smash, except with an added effect of stars bursting forward upon the hammer contacting the ground. The stars can deal damage to opponents as well.

I cannot remember if this was a suggestion for Mario before. Either way, it'd make sense for both Mario and Luigi to have the gimmick of doing damage to opponents with a footstool. That is their main form of attack in their games that don't require power ups. It doesn't have to do big damage or anything, just small percentages. For an added bonus, when Luigi footstools off someone, he goes a bit higher than Mario would, since he's been known to be able to jump high.

I’ve had this idea for a while, but what if Gooigi was an echo fighter for Luigi? He fits the mold perfectly! (pun intended)
He will play similar to that of regular Luigi, with some minor differences:
    • He will take damage when in water and will have no fire effects on his Special Moves.
    • He will be a unit or two lighter than Luigi. He’s made of goo, after all.
    • His attacks will have a little more range that Luigi, but will be marginally slower to compensate.
    • His neutral special would be replaced with a ball of goo, referencing how Luigi’s Bouncing Fireball custom move worked.
    • His Green Missile (now called Goo Missile) will hit multiple times instead of once, at the cost of being slightly weaker than Luigi’s, even when misfired.

    EarthBound/MOTHER Nitpicks -
    [Ness]
Down Special (PK Thunder): Ness creates an orb of electricity that can be controlled with directional inputs. It can also pass through surfaces. It damages opponents it hits, making them paralyzed. Hitting Ness allows him to use PK Thunder 2, where he launches in the opposite direction he was hit in, damaging opponents he hits. If he hits an opponent, he can use the move again. Otherwise, he enters a helpless state.
Up Special (PSI Magnet): The move is much like the original PSI Magnet, but now Ness sets it above him to pull him upwards a set distance. The magnet will disappear once Ness enters its center; it can still pull in enemy projectiles and heal Ness.
Final Smash (PSI Rockin'): Ness uses PK Rockin' in the area in front of him. The PSI waves move inwards towards the center of the attack, pulling opponents into the center. Then, a massive explosion of colorful PSI waves occurs, blasting opponents in all directions.
    [Lucas]
Up Special (PK Teleport): Lucas dashes forwards a short distance to build up speed and then teleports to the input direction. Upon reappearing, Lucas will burn enemies that touch him.
Down Special (PK Counter): Lucas crosses his arms to form an 'X' and creates a barrier around himself; opponents that attack him while the barrier is up will activate his second animation; Lucas drops the barrier, forming the PSI energy from the barrier into his hand and delivering a powerful punch fueled by PSI.
Final Smash (PK Love): PSI Waves form on the outside of the attack and pull opponents towards the center. Then, two hexagonal figures jab into the center of the attack and then converge to form a large diamond that bursts outwards, launching enemies.

For Pikachu, one of their alts should have him in a detective cap. There's no denying that Detective Pikachu is popular enough for it to be a new alt of their's!!
Also, while I do like the thought of the new final smash having Pikachu turn into its G-Max form, Smash Ultimate came out BEFORE Sword and Shield, meaning the developers wouldn't be able to make that the new final smash even if they wanted to. I suppose they could've changed it sometime after release, but that'd open up a can of worms impossible to close.

Luigi's final smash should use Gooigi. I think Gooigi could pop out, run around like an assist trophy, prioritizing people who are near Luigi, and trap people inside him with his own poltergust. Enemies caught inside him will be delt contant damage, and at the end, Gooigi will puff up and explode, launching everyone caught inside at a random angle, also launching anyone who happens to be too close when he explodes. Durring the entire duration, Luigi is fully controlable durring the final smash, but is not immune, meaning your best bet is to run away while the final smash is in effect. I know it's a lot to take in, but you get the point.

To take more inspiration from Pikachu in the anime, what if Pikachu's stage entrance was him swatting away a Poke Ball instead of coming out of it, as though to show he's his own master? Mewtwo and Lucario already have unique stage entrances not using Poke Balls, so the precedent is there. To go even further, Pikachu's stage entrance could start with him balancing on a Poke Ball before swatting it away, as a reference to his appearance in the opening of Smash 64.

    Some possible ideas/additions for Luigi:
    Grabs/Throws:
Forward Throw: Luigi could use the hammer and knock the caught foe a fair distance away. This references some of the many Hammer Attacks from the Mario & Luigi games.
Down Throw: I think that he could possibly slam the caught foe into the ground, launching them forwards (with a possible small shockwave on collision). I should also mention that this should probably be used for only the down throw, as it would get somewhat repetitve.
    Taunts/Victory Animations:
Luigi could have one of his taunts and/or his victory animations be his "Death Stare". While yes, it is just a meme, I feel that it kind of fits Luigi's quirky nature. Random and quirky.
    Final Smash:
    1. I did take into account about you saying that Luigi's Final Smash isn't too much of a nitpick, but my idea is that Luigi could suck the souls of any unlucky opponents, racking up their damage, and then slamming their souls back into their bodies, launching them into the air. It's basically the same as his current Final Smash, but this one does reference how Luigi slams ghosts into the ground in Luigi's Mansion.
Just some ideas I wanted to throw out there. Anyone can let me know if they have suggestions or revisions to my ideas.

I'm feel like Luigi's Final Smash should be either Brobot as a SPM reference or something like Morty's movie in LM3. But, of course, it's your choice whether or not to use these suggestions.

I think I should ask, when would this series continue? It was something I was interested in, and yet it stopped suddenly.
As for ideas, some for Pikachu would be:
    - Iron Tail being the Up Smash or Forward Air, being able to spike either way if you sweet spot it.
    - It would be cool Pikachu interacting with it's hat, but I don't know about that one.
    - Feint as a Dash Attack could be cool, being weaker for the property of hitting through Sheild
    - I think Nuzzle works better on Pichu, but could still work as Forward Smash for Pikachu.
As for Luigi, I would probably do:
    - Give a taunt where Luigi interacts with Polterpup, his pet ghost dog.
    - Should Luigi use a Hammer in some of his moves, specifically his Smash Attacks, or would that be too much?
    - Does Luigi's Gratitude need to put in it's own Taunt, or shoved in with the Polterpup idea of a Taunt?
    - I know you said no for Thunder Palm to be a Neutral Special, but what's your opinion for it to be a Forward Smash?

To rework Luigi's side special as a reference while mostly keeping the original function intact, what if the move had him hold his Poltergust as it shook, then once let loose, a Luigi's Mansion ghost partially pops out, pulling Luigi and the Poltergust forward. You could even keep the RNG of the Green Missile by having a random ghost pop out with varying power/effects.
Another small thing that'd make a neat addition would be to have Luigi rest on his pillow from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team for his asleep animation.

Idea for Luigi's Final Smash: what if instead of sucking opponents in, Luigi's Poltergust malfunctions, releasing Ghosts in single direction that be slightly angled, with King Boo popping out as one final big hitbox. Basically Wii Fit's Final Smash but Luigi's Mansion

That feels very forced, I think it’s fine to keep the side B the way it is, not all of his moves have to use the poltergust

Honestly, I feel like they could keep Luigi’s final smash as is but add one detail and make it the super suction in Luigi’s mansion 3. Maybe a power plug pops up Luigi plugs in the poltergust and it’s pretty much the same.

When Yoshi was brought back up it reminded me of how yoshi will grant you a power up if eaten 8+ fruits in a level. I think it could be a fun Easter egg and challenge if Yoshi, after successfully using neutral b 8 times, will lay a mario item, fire flowers and super mushrooms being the most common.

Great video! Keep up the good work!
    Now for some character requests:
Cuphead : King Dice, Hilda Berg, Cagney Carnation, Beppi the Clown
Mario : Pokey, Lakitu, Olivia (Paper Mario) Lego Mario
Btd : Towers (all are good for a moveset in my eyes), Bloons/Moabs
    Jjba : Jotaro Kujo/Star Platinum
    Cooking Mama
And last but not least : Gingerbrave
    Love your videos man. Later!!!

It would be cool if when Luigi used his down b, if he sucked any items that have the element of fire or ice, when he shoots back the item, he would shoot a ball of the corresponding element as a small reference to the original Luigi's Mansion

Though I’m perfectly fine with/love the moveset Pikachu has and like the ideas here, there is one move I’m *shocked* isn’t listed in his moveset or this video. Thunderbolt (you know, the move that’s arguably most associated with Pikachu, especially in the anime where it’s basically his star move ever since day 1 and is a staple electric type move)

I feel like Luigi’s Final Smash could have him utilize Gooigi in one way or another, it could be similar to what Ditto does as a Pokeball Pokémon, or they could do a tag team attack on a single opponent like what both Luigi and Gooigi did to attack King Boo in Luigi’s Mansion 3

  • @littlelynxx
    @littlelynxx 2 года назад +1

I think luigi should have a victory animation where his poltergust pops out a dark moon piece and he catches it (or something along those lines)
or he does the luigi dance from 3 as a taunt

  • @JustAPersonWow
    @JustAPersonWow 2 года назад

    Idea for Luigi:
His final smash could be something I like to call "Mushroom Stew".
As the Final Smash is used, Luigi reaches into his pocket and throws out several basic mario objects. Poison-Shrooms, Spiky Shells, Goombas that deal Damage, Fire/Ice balls, and other things. It would hit all over the stage and last for about 7-9 seconds. And for a little Luigi Flare he could even just turn on a blow function on his Poltergust and everything would fly out of there.

for luigi's final smash, i could see him using a double cherry/the dreamy luigis from M&L to stampede across the screen, ending with all of them grouping in the middle of the screen to perform a ground pound, burying all of the opponents onscreen.
