I can't seem it find it, but did you mention there is a way to have the factory home screen always start first. That way, if someone unfamiliar with new tablet is driving, they won't be confused. @@Donslife
Hey don great work like watching ur video waiting to see how these screens do in cold weather I live in upstate ny so hopefully u will do a video on that part thank u again for ur hard work
So out of the 3 Large screen upgrades (Aucarauto, and the two screens from Z Innovations) Which one gave the best user experience, which one did you prefer?
Each have their merits. I will keep providing updates. Z Innovations has a more stable experience so far. But some people will want the biggest possible and some will want the their climate buttons 🤷🏻♂️
That's the BIG question isn't it!? I need a bit more time. Software reliability and user experience are important to me so the Z Innovations offerings have been less frustrating. I need more time sir 😀
Watching from a distance, the big portrait mode Tesla screen you did first looks really cool but would really be frustrating losing all of the hardware buttons and knobs. I know we're all here for Don's opinion but the choice between the two z innovations offerings would really come down to personal opinion between ultra wide screen or bigger traditional ratio screen. After watching all three I'm personally leaning towards this variant with the ultra widescreen as it's closer to the refreshed Sierra screen and it's much more ideal for split screen use!
Kudos don for the reviews. I will say I dont really like these screens. The aucar stereo just looks like it could have been stock. Moving the air vents under the screen is understandable but was definitely a swing and a miss.
The model I reviewed in the summer (not Z Innovations) didn't have lag issues. More software frustrations and setup changes that would revert making customization laborious.
We are currently moving into summer in Australia and getting days already at 37C/99F with no Lag issues in our screens. Our screen was tested through last summer in Australia with not heat related issues before we released to market
@Donslife awesome. It would be nice if I could use my phone sim card since my plan has unlimited data. I'd probably have to pay for a separate data plan for the tablet
My only gripe with these is no volume knob, or no controls on the screen full time.. When your in split screen you loose the volume buttons.. The aucar models are nice but I've been seeing alot of issues with them lately..
I totally agree, the vent relocated looks outdated and obviously doesn’t match the other, I wish there was a bigger screen that could just fit in between the factory vents
A negative opinion like that is not useful. It's one thing to offer a negative user experience as some type of review, but to trash on it just to be that guy, really makes me wonder why? Just go look for something else.
Glad you’re doing all these videos! Very helpful
I am glad you see the reason why I am making these. I am in a position to help people figure out what works best for them!

You are most definitely "The Gadget Guy" . Al Always Great Video. Tell Mrs. D that her Display looks Spooky Good.
I think I like this one the best.
Great overview. Where did you download the updates from?
Thanks! I have been requesting them via support emails. Then have then shared a link with me to download.
Nice job Don. Looks great.
Thanks for checking out the video sir
@@Donslife Been following your screen videos closely. I like seeing your input on them.
I got the 15.6" from Aucar, and all I can say is my 15.6" screen looks so much better-and it cost $1,300.
I like how aucar maintained the interior design of the GMC Sierra trim versus this black trim less version of this unit.

Are you able to have a RUclips podcast running with video while driving?
Yes
Of all the screens you’ve done, which one appeals to you the most? From the 15” down.

I like the Tesla version the best but do not trust the reliability at all. I will not be purchasing any until the bugs are all worked out
I have had the 15 for about 3 months.. 0 issues works like it should be and looks classy for sure .. I love it
Which screwn do you like best and find most useful?
Video drops later today covering this topic
So, Of the 3 so far which in your opinion is the best? I like the looks of the Aucar so far.
I'm gonna ask for one for Christmas.

Great videos. Does the 12 inch screen have the ability for the movable small screen like you demonstrated with the larger 13 inch?
Yes. Same functionality with the floating window for some media apps
Do either one of the screens you’re testing out come with built in dash cam? If not, both missed the mark.
I haven’t found any brand for this platform of truck that has a built in dash cam.
Nooo 8 go for the other I ready purchase one lokks amazing
Any model is better than the stock options. Good choice no matter what
Will this work on the 2021 Yukon SLT
Not this exact one. But you can go to their website and see what they may have available for your vehicle.
Thanks, Don, for showing us nice products and ugly products like this unit .. i like your videos
I see what you did there 😂
13:23 nah bro just got exposed 😅
You got me! 😂
Hahaha. No way Don's a swifty.
@Raiders1234 as a fellow girl dad of culture I'm definitely more team Sabrina Carpenter!

Was there any lag issue during the summer?

This is version I like. It's too bad you can't get a SIM card and share your data from your phone. Instead of using a hot spot
It can use a dedicated 4G sim card.
@Donslife awesome. It would be nice if I could use my phone sim card since my plan has unlimited data. I'd probably have to pay for a separate data plan for the tablet
Most people I think would ‘add a tablet’ data plan to their existing contract
@caseysathan not sure if it is the same in other countries but in Australia our data is shared over multiple sim cards on the same bill.
@@Donslifedid you post instructions on how to assemble the GPS adapter? I've got the individual parts on order.

Got Mods?
A few (hundred)
This is the ugliest aftermarket screen I have seen by far looks very out of place and the vents being relocated look cheap 👎🏻it’s a no go for me
I totally agree, the vent relocated looks outdated and obviously doesn’t match the other, I wish there was a bigger screen that could just fit in between the factory vents
They look like typical ac vents….
@@djformi typical for a 1990 nissan pickup.

Yuck the 13 inch is better looking I still don’t like the vent relocation at all looks like a 2007 Tahoe
Looks ugly with those vents
