The last time I was at the library was in San Francisco looking up some legal history against PG&E for a lawsuit other than that I just won’t go to them I’m so glad the Internet took them over!
Starting around 2005, libraries somehow got taken over by a certain kind of political person. I can't put my finger on it, but it feels icky and unsafe. Like if you got on their bad side politically, they'd find a way to kick you out.
Thank you Travis. I appreciate the work you do and the risks that you take to protect our rights.
Lol muh Rights

I don't live a life that needs wifi. But what is so "priceless" about wifi and needing to restrict it when there's literally no one next to you doing anything?
Librarian: We need your ID because it shows us that you are who you say you are. Travis: Um, well, my face does that.
Maybe Libraries should just stop asking people for there Library cards? Just let people take whatever books they want. I am sure that would work out perfectly.

So would rather have the government invest in face recognition software in every public building everywhere u go? Seems to me like that would be 10x more intrusive than a decision on your part of whether to use the wifi or not
@@GrantTravels23 Every librarian is trained from birth and has their own facial recognition capabilities.
@pigtrader2053 😆... but the point being with face recognition software u can walk by a spot on camera, and then that spot gets broken into and u are the only one they see near it. Guess who's getting blamed.

KEEP ON TRUCKING TRAV !
We’re paying to be treated like this !
Unacceptable
The librarians just took mercy on Travis. They could see that something is wrong, and just tried to smooth it over the best they could.
They didn’t come to work to interact with people either. Poor hiring.
I have no problem with people who are faced with a government policy, stop, listen, think then try to provide a reasonable accommodation. I bet she would have taken any name you cared to give. In a smaller library like that, I can totally understand the limits on food or drink. I don't disagree with you often but the water situation is a reasonable precaution and sure doesn't infringe on any rights. Good one from both sides.
I prefer the libraries with no food or drink near their computers only. If I spill my drink on my computer it's my problem
My name is "Library Guest".
Excellent ! I had to to the same thing for microfiche back in the day 👍
I bet those Librarians wish they had 10 minutes of their lives back……. LOL….. do not mess with Travis!
The issue lies with the Library Board, not the Librarians. All in all the Librarians seemed pretty nice.
I have never heard of a public library requiring i.d. to use the library.
I know about 6
Well, you do need ID to get a library card to take out books.
@@amyfu2047or to use the library computers at most libraries
more government employees that have no idea where their money comes from.
Doniphan is a small town...change takes time in places like that...if a guy like Travis lived there I'm sure the policy would have been updated long ago...the ladies were nice no cops were called that's about all you can ask for...especially for an odd guy (harmless) like Travis
I get both sides.. Travis wants to be left alone and they want to know who’s searching up kiddy porn in their library..
Where do they find it on my ID?
Trading freedom for liberty is a bad deal that only gets worse.
That’s ridiculous I can be outside of our library in my car & get free Wi-Fi 24/7.
Yeah in the early days of WIFI, some poor bloke got arrested for that, by a no-brain cop. Still makes me angry. You can find it on Google.
Might be a smaller town but with big fat woman
Deprivation of right to water
Thank you for the video.
Yup, a legal issue several years ago doesnt mean you get to violate my fourth amendment right of the constitution today.
"That's just our standard" -judge Owsley
Have to watch this one before it disappears in a few days.
Mr Heinze, I retract my cease and desist. I believe you can be honest, your videos show you care. Someone raised you to be respectful, it shows.
You are definitely brave.
You show the dangers travelers can face by ones that should be good. To think an oath taker is not honorable and your videos show the willingness to not honor their OATH.
My hat is off to you.
Mr Heinze.
Thank you
Travis! What camera are you using there on the desk that is panning back and forth? That thing is awesome! AND! I so appreciate you holding up everyone's Constitutional rights, Man!!! Appreciate You!!!
Libraries are a huge waste of taxpayer monies and should be converted into homeless shelters.
If you have a smartphone, you have a library! The biggest and best one ever!
service providers with rules and policies that violates constitutional rights ,yup, yup, just submit to it without questioning it , it's only your rights ...
Policies and Laws ( constitution ) oppose each other. Hold them accountable
You can always go use the wifi somewhere else or even better pay for private wifi if you don’t like the policies.
360 cam is a very good tool for your videos. Editing might be a pain but worth it i think. I hope you have a lens mod just in case lens gets dropped
I got the sense those two ladies had no idea they were being recorded, or they would’ve behaved very differently, if so.
And I don’t mean nicer or more accommodating.
This auditor is amazing .. Make sure to like and share
It’s nice to see you in my neck of the woods!
The neck is certainly more woodsy than other places i been
@@Exchange_IDs I wish you could come on down just a little south of doniphan an get them Butler county an dunklin county an new Madrid county a dose of your freedom hospitality because they sure need a wake up call on who they work for we the people an there tyrant behavior needs to be put in check ..it's hard to get information that people need to get an they just don't want to provide it with out a cost that the tax payers done payed for exspecialy the dunklin county sheriff's office that place is full of tyrants as you approach the door your greeted with tyrant...👍👍👍up keep the videos an the people in check a coming ..love what you do.😁
That's messed up. My town has free Wi-Fi all throughout downtown.
And? Your town may also have some serial killers?
@@jayandreas1131 I don't understand your response.
Great stuff Travis.
Thank you Travis for speaking for “we the people” I agree with exactly what you have said to these ladies at the library, why do we have to sacrifice our right to make them feel comfortable?
Right to privacy
The library puts out the wi-fi signal anyway....so why are they being so difficult about it.....??
Cuz people take a nice free thing and ruin it for everyone like using bomb threats
What is that 360 degree camera you use? I’m thinking about getting one and I really like the quality of what you’ve been able to use in your videos Travis. Much support man!
This was the gopro Fusion. The max is better, but they are getting a little old now.
From the city that make Levi’s jeans what it is now … sanfrancisco…. Lol 😂
I will call them tomorrow and ask for clarification about their policies
never had to give my name or id in a library
Thanks for sharing!
Our pleasure!

It's a safety issue. An unregistered user can start hacking, send out terrorist threats, and a host of other issues. We all register to use the net.
2009! Wow!
Please surrender your 4th amendment to have free public wifi.
This was awesome 📚✨👋😎💫.
What the librarians didn’t understand is that Heinze was working on getting justice for Johnny. If they had known, they would have given him their full cooperation.
Even polite tyrants are still tyrants. "We're going to be super nice to and infringe your freedom just a little bit less."
You have access to the internet but yet you want to come in and utilize free Wi-Fi at the library and don't want to follow the rules and regulations next time maybe you should try your local McDonald's. The only reason that you were there is to push the boundary
Let's see your mind reading license? How about your Psych license?
He said he has internet but it's very limited. Why use his own when we pay for access at the library
Legend says not even this man has seen his own ID
There is a legal issue. The issue is a violation of the constitutional protection. You may have read it. It's in a book.
Travis, you need a picture ID to use the Library but you don't need one to vote. HAHAHA!!! Good job!
My sister is an OPP in Ontario and even she is Disgusted by the way they behave and the rules they enforce
I think you jumped the shark on this one.
Better to jump the shark than get eaten
When it's a quiet day at the library and you see a opportunity to bully, stand over, harass.
If this was a female using the wifi , these women would be asking if these was someway they could make her visit more comfortable.
They take your water and ask for your ID here. It's just a small town library.
i def was never IDed .. not when i got a library card.. or have been a guest. thats wild.
Travis, nicest goes along way, give them gals a bit more. If you ask nicely you can usually charm your way thru, Its a nice feeling.
Does anyone else think he sounds a little like Norm MacDonald? Not necessarily his voice but rather his speech patterns?
I don't trust them. I would leave and post on social media what they do. If you get a chance, ask them what part of East Germany they are in?
Volumes way to low can't hear properly. Dangous place those USA libraries.
I called them just now. The larger lady in the video answered. She was %100 sure I was Travis calling. Finally, when she was convinced I wasn't him, she explained and said she "felt threatened" and the first part of the interaction wasn't recorded, and that Travis was "Irrate".
I told her that's not true, I've been watching Travis for years. Then she decided to judge and belittle by saying, "Oh lol, you been watching him for YEARS?"
I saw 2 large ladies there. They aren't nice. I had to turn my water bottle into the front desk because we can't have water in the library.
@@Exchange_IDs lmao. Wow.
