In the late 80's all the Hairbands ruled and here i was, a little freshman in HS discovering THE BEATLES. Kids made fun of me but I didnt care, I had discovered THE GREATEST BAND in history. Now, tearing up I watch these videos . LONG LIVE THE BEATLES!!!

I agree, however: I don't think John Lennon is (was) a hero. He just has been (and still is) a popular person. And the event that might look like "a hero worship" could be considered by each person individualy differently. One might consider it as a worship, another one only as just a fine party with singing nice songs... Everything depends on individual inner attitude/approach of each person.
