- Playthrough with the game set on very hard. Without the boost trick (which Im not using in this video), this game is insanely hard on very hard, even when you drive perfectly.

Wow! Very impressive! I only discovered this game around 2 years ago when trying out the Supermodel emulator but I was immediately obsessed with it. It took me so many tries until I finally beat the last case. It was never irritating either like some games that send you back to the start. I wanted to keep replaying it until I had every move I needed to make memorized. There is just something about this game that is very addicting. When I first started playing I was using the automatic transmission and I was never able to beat Case #4. Once I switched to manual it wasn't near as difficult. I wonder if the game can even be beaten on Very Hard with automatic transmission? I just learned about the boost trick recently and haven't tried it out yet. I'll have to give it a go and see how much quicker I can beat Case #4. The thing that gave me the biggest problem in the game was the bridges. I see that you slow down so you don't actually ramp them. Many times when I was playing ECA I was able to hit the bridge at nearly full speed and land without losing any health or any speed. I'm not sure how I did it though. I tried many different strategies but it seemed random on when it would work. There has to be some kind of trick to it but I've not figured it out yet.
No, completing the game with manual transmission on very hard, isn't anywhere possible. Manual is your only chance, and as far as I can remember (I don't have the game anylonger), I don't think it is possible to complete it with manual even on normal. And you are right about the bridges, they are completely random, or make no sense at all. Many times I have gone at full speed over the bridges without causing any damage or time penalty, and other times Ive crawled down to like 35 km/h, and gotten a penalty. This is quite annoying if you are trying to set a score record, that this has to be so random. And great to hear you enjoy the game so much, it is really an underrated game, which never really got the credit it really deserved.

Very Hard? That's too insane. You should set Very Easy.
I wanted to give it the ultimate challenge, but I usually play on very easy, yes.
