I bought fillet steak today to make my first ever steak tartar. I will chop the steak, not blend it! The only ingredients I will not use are the capers and cornichons. Looks delicious otherwise and apparently extremely good for you. 🤤 I even bought woodland eggs...

@@user-no9im9px6eI recommend you try odeng,hotteok and gukhwappang for winter street food! And Koreans eat hoe(korean raw fish) or jeongol a lot in winter. Lastly, try hobakjuk(pumpkin porridge) or patjuk(red bean porridge). I hope you enjoy your trip to Korea!

@@stupidguy97Some chef made a video on it, if you chop it you have much more control over if you’re cutting with or against the grain. Apparently that plays a big part in the texture.

Steak tartare is for habd choping or roughly grinding in a meat grinder, the food processor breaks the meat fibers up too much.

@@stupidguy97 when its blended bacteria will have an easier way to get into the steak, which is why you shouldnt blend it, its not safe to eat patties raw for that reason either because now there is nothing keeping the meat safe from the bacteria
