After watching your video, I might have to slow mine down a bit lol. The ball seems to float around up at the rollover lanes, where mine just bounces and drops right in. Amazing game! So hard to turn it off. One of the best examples of "Just one more game"
I wonder if there's any connection to this pinball and Gottlieb's Big Shot even though they're made from 2 different manufacturers? Maybe just the two have billiard themes going on and that's about it? This machine looks like it could have been a sequel to Big Shot, that's what makes me curious.
They probably made a hundred different pool theme pinball machine so I doubt that there is any connection there but Bally's 8 Ball deluxe was a sequel to Bally's 8 Ball 🤘
This was my favorite pinball game ever. You explained very well how to play this to win points. The second pinball game I liked, but have not seen it since the early 70's was someithing calld Underworld but not sure. the back screen had prehistoric animals dinosaurs and the playing field was much wider than the normal pinball playing field. Do you have any idea of that pinball machine and what it was called? The game was out for sure in 1973.
Thanks so much! Interesting...no machine was called underworld, no games from that early were wide body pins as far as I know so im thinking it had to be late 70's and solid state. games that come to mind are middle earth by atari, maybe escape from the lost world but that was not wide, or bally lost world, maybe 4 million BC that was 1970 but not wide!
Thanks so much with possible machines that I was describing. Well I checked on RUclips the names you provided and low and behold it was Middle Earth by Atari!! This machine was in a military club in Pensacola when I was going to a military school and I was there in 1978. What gave it away for me was the artwork on both the playing field and back display. The rounded corners at the top of the playing field is what I remembered most about it. Loved this machine but not as much as Eight Ball. I also forgot to mention that for some reason I thought the playing field was larger than the average pinball machine and you were dead right on that too. @@pinballshenanigans
I own this game (restored in 1995) but it has been neglected. Just starting to trouble shoot. Wanna help me? My MPU is flashing twice, then a pause, then 5 more flashes. Lights are on but no song or game start. Self test button does nothing. Help please.
Awesome to see this game again, took this game over 1 million
Oh nice. Sharp shooter 🤘
You can now get an updated rule set using a small add-on board to the J5 connector on the MPU card.
Oh that's awesome. I know they have done that for many games now including stars and meteor.
I can't believe 20k of these were made. So much real estate taken up with that left side spinner
It is such a sweet shot though and you can backhand it from the left flipper from a trap which is gravy!!
That was a great pinball but looking at it now I can’t see why I liked it so much
It is a tough game but it is a great one still!
Very well done video and explanation. This looks like a fun table. Bally seems to have some good pool themed tables.
Thanks so much! They sure do!

Classic game.
For sure!!! Great game!

@@Idelia412 Awesome! So glad we found your nostalgic machine. My first guess too 😀 🤘 I have actually had that machine several years ago as well.

Great game for sure! Start with this and good luck! www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php/Bally/Stern
Have you had to do any work on it?
I'm sure I did but it was so long ago I forget what I did to it.

To think Bally Total Fitness was the business that succeeded for Bally bad move! 👎
Haha. I wonder if anyone has a membership card still 😁
