Once you get past the obnoxious social distancing comments there is some really good tips in here. The idea of buying a used quality boat over buying a new bargain basement boat is something I wish more people would heed. Makes for a much more enjoyable paddling experience.

Is a used Riot Seahunter Tandem kayak for $400 bucks too good to be true kind of deal or would that fair for a used one? I see they are over $1,000 new

I found a used lifetime tamerak for 100$ but it’s got a big dent in the bow/hull. I’be never owned a kayak and I’m on a budget so it’s tempting . The seller says it doesn’t leak but I’m still skeptical. Should I pass on it?

My Dad had a rule he made us memorize - "If you have a doubt, there is no doubt." Basically, trust your instinct. I think yours is telling you to pass.
