Just found this... it's great. Great insights by Keith and Darryl and good questions from Doug. The game has changed a lot from the 80s. Darryl was talking about Wally, Mookie and Lenny setting the table. They would always have a hit and run on with those guys. The biggest mistake was losing Seaver in 84. If they had Tom they probably would have won in '84 and '85 too.
Since Keith says he was disgusted by the smell of booze on an umpire who'd been drinking, I have to wonder what the catchers were experiencing. That could not have been pleasant, one inning after another.
I consider it a privilege to hear this conversation between Keith and Darryl. Doug, you did a wonderful job.
Great home run in Game 7 by Straw... I was there!...
Chocolates don't look human
I was there... in spirit!!!
@@howardamonick86 I was in the upper deck on the first base side. Wow, such a thrill.
The swag he had when he that ball he knew it was outta there
Ahhh the good 'ol days!
1980s Forever
I see Keith wiping his eyes a lot. These are guys who have earned their creds with BOTH head and heart.

Snappy Tom" makes sense because Tom Terrific did have a snappy curve
Great interview, I was left hoping to hear you ask Keith and Darryl about their beef in Spring one of those years.
Spring training’89. Straw went after Keith during photo shoot. Im sure they made up years before this
If the interviewer did not bring it up they definitely was not going to address it.
kieth the kid carter and straw where the glue!
