Battery:
Zhiyun Smooth Q holds a built-in battery which allows 12 hours of working time. A micro USB port at the side of the grip supports supports power input via power bank. That way you can extend operational time. On the back is a USB port which you can use to power your phone or action cam.
Payload: 220g.
Pan / Tilt / Roll - Angle
The gimbal allows 360° rotation on the pan axis,
320° on the tilt axis.
Buttons & Controls
The control panel provides a flat joystick to control the head. Next to it are power button, zoom lever and function button.
Shooting Modes
You can use Smooth Q to stabilize your phone horizontally or vertically - in portrait or landscape mode.
Mounting
You can mount Zhiyun Smooth Q on a tripod as a 1/4″ standard photo thread is integrated at the bottom.
Special Feature:
When using Zhiyun ZY Play App (for iOS & Android) on your Smartphone you can enable Face & Object Tracking. Mark any object on your screen, which will be tracked during a movement and the gimbal’s head will follow automatically.
Compatibility:
Zhiyun Smooth Q is compatible with a huge variety of smartphones including Apple iPhone (up to iPhone 7 including Plus versions), Samsung, Huawei, Sony,… There is no specific list from Zhiyun which phones are compatible, I was told up to 6 inch screen size and max. 220g in weight.
As for action cameras you have to adapt the the phone bracket to portrait mode, then most action cameras incl. GoPro models, YI 4K, SJCAM, EKEN, Firefly,... will fit.

I have the Smooth Q. It handled even my gigantic 203 gram Xiaomi Mi Max with little issue. Also, the battery life is fantastic. I was recently in Japan for two weeks and I only had to charge it once during the whole trip. The battery wasn't even low yet, but I decided to charge just to be sure.
But seriously, do take note of the 200 gram limit. The motors were running hot trying to keep the 203 gram Mi Max in position. I never had problems with my Galaxy Note 5 and LG V20, which are both under 180 grams.
I've had the honour to use the Smooth Q and it's amazing! I vlogged a full weekend with it (I borrowed it from another YT channel).
which Vlog you used it in ?
First vlog I used it was 108 just checking how it functioned and it shows the best in vlog 110.
The quality of my phone wasn't the best at that moment though. Soon I'll be reviewing the Zhiyun Crane V2 that I borrow from a friend.
ZhiyunSmooth Q though slightly more expensive is certainly worth the extra cost. Slowly discharges when turned off for a smooth return to a null point rather than an awkward drop. Water resistant is a bonus for outdoors where you would mainly use it.
Filming a band with handheld monopod the cam battery went flat. Having USB connection gimbal to cam is a great option with up to 12 hours, more than plenty for camera backup.
Because of this review now I love the Zhiyun Smooth Q hoping I could have one 😊😊

I prefer the Zhiyun Smooth Q over the Feiyu Vimble C. Also, Feiyu SPG would have been a better comparison instead of the vimble. But I won't write-off Feiyu Vimble from this comparison. It is good enough to stabilize the shot. The limitation was mainly due to the limited panning. Anyway, I can use it to stabilize my smartphone as well as the action cameras. Sometimes EIS is not enough, so a bit of help from Gimbal will surely help. Keep exploring new products and keep posting in-depth reviews and great deals. Good Job and Good Luck !!!

I think Zhiyun Smooth Q is the winner because the battery capacity up to 12 hours and 360° rotation ability, the only minus point is the price that bit more high than Vimble C.

Thank you for the giveaway. Seems more portable and has longer battery life that makes it better for travel. But both seem great for the price. Would prefer non built in batteries. But 12 hours is great

Zhiyun Smooth Q has the edge in terms of battery life. Just wish the material is better though but it would be nice to get one :)

what about external mics? i guess impossible without the adapter plate?
what about the side mic of yi 4k+ ? without an adaptor i guess its covered by zhiyun smooth Q pads while holding it sideways
Without mic Zhiyun Smooth Q seems more convenient in terms of mounting. If you often use it with adapter, Vimble C seems the better choice. But check out Feiyu SPG which was released in the meantime, quality is better than with vimble.
