Look at how the suit bunches at his neck, those sleeves, and then the longest tie in the world peeking out. A tracksuit would have been better! What a clown; not in real life, he just played one in court! Now he gets to play "Innocent" in prison for the rest of his life.

One thing Mr Demon Brooks was right about is that the jury would finally get the chance to hear the full story. He pretty much told all of his witnesses to tell the jury that it was him driving the vehicle, to describe him and his hair, and to tell them that he ran over a bunch of people. He was one of the best witnesses for a prosecution team that I’ve ever seen by far

However, Erika should be charged for violating the protection order that was in place against both of them. His mother should also be charged for giving him the keys when he didn’t have a license for 7 years and she continued giving him the keys after running over Erika. Had Erika not have called him to come visit her then the people would still be alive. She’s responsible for her role in the fate of the town of Waukesha.

No one showed up for him, and the few who did, they’re blaming his mental problems, or “blacking out”, I knew he wouldn’t get 20+ people speaking on his behalf. He’s ignorant. I’ve never seen a case where the perpetrator has any victim impact statements read! Most criminals must not want people to speak on their behalf? I didn’t even think it was legal. It's possible, but I tend to think that he's just so stupid he doesn't realize how heartless he's proving himself to be. But yes, it's unbelievable to see him, emotionless, if not confrontational or mocking, forcing witnesses to relive moments that clearly traumatized them. The first witness for the prosecution for example, broke down upon recalling the sounds of the tragedy, and Brooks didn't even think twice about having the poor man watch the video again so he could ask his pointless cross questions. Or maybe you're right and he did it on purpose.
Maybe people are right when they say he really enjoyed his five minutes of fame. It's true that he was given quite a bit of power, being his own counsel in such a high profile case. For example, he was able to talk to Erika again and patronize her on the record, he's on camera for millions to see for weeks. I keep thinking the idea that someone would enjoy being in that position is absurd, but then I realize this is Darrell Brooks--who knows what this guy's thinking or why.

      True Crime Loser fan?
Imo this is an extremely important case. Not only because Brooks is a horrible on a legendary scale, but because I don't think conduct this bad has ever been seen for this long in a courtroom. The judge chose not to make Brooks forfeit his closing arguments even after he mentioned the whole jury nullification nonsense though, but I think she was very careful not to do anything unprecedented, or at least could be seen as unprecedented. Thus she was attempting to give Brooks the fairest possible trial, a trial during which he tried every possible trick he could come up with, objected to almost everything said by anyone other than himself, so that when the time inevitably came for him to appeal, he would have no grounds whatsoever.

I feel so bad for the attorneys and the Judge who spent years in school and practicing law. This case had to be torture listening to his stupidity. I love how he acts as if he's been a practicing lawyer for years. 🤢 It's fair to say, Brooks thinks he's smarter than he actually is. And got pushed into overdrive bc her friends stopped him from 1) beating & verbally abusing her in the car 2)hitting her with his car, AGAIN, and 3) berating her & physically abusing her further, potentially driving away with her to do god knows what.
I think Erika’s friends saved her life.
I think Darell was sent into a fury when he couldn’t hurt her to the degree he wished to, which he was convinced was warranted since it was “all her fault.”

@@Materialgirl_3hey babe he actually indeed did hint at that by asking her did she call Cory friend or the guy first and also asking how she knew him etc.. if you’ve watched this trial like we have then you’d see exactly what I mean.. he definitely thought this.. Watch when he cross Erika and then Cory!! I’m telling u this guy is truly out of it and that’s exactly what made him go over the top!! He think Erika was worth that dude.❤❤

Opening statement says nothing of his innocence or proving it was not him? Or he can prove it was just an unfortunate accident! My personal opinion!!! I think he is getting off on being the main attraction! And I absolutely believe it was 100% intentional! If he did blow the horn at any time- it was so people would see him- not him warning them! People do blow their horns to wave hello or say hi! When he watches the evidence on video of himself running people over, I swear he gets off! Probably gets a woodie!

"i think its time that you see me for who i am" "i hope your eyes and ears remain as open as possible" knowing what he did then seeing him in court saying just has me stunned he isn't apologetic it's almost as if he wants you to know what he did and how he didn't it 🧐🤔

Its hard to watch this as he begs the jury to give him sypmathy and forget the incident at hand like those ppl dont matter, only i do and my family. (A family that is scared of him and dont want nothing to do with him) Hes a joke and a coldhearted freak.

I have never seen a human being at any age in my life that asked questions that 100 percent help show that you did everything the DA says you did. Seriously 😊it's like there's 2 DA tables working together, and the defense is working with you and its the guy yourself. HOW DO YOU ASK THE SAME QUESTION 20 DIFFERENT WAYS!!!!!

He never once makes a attempt to claim why it wasnt him who did it! All he does this whole case is play a game trying to control the narrative at all times! Be it by his little "give me a min while I find the document" bs he always pulls to objecting to everything to yelling GROUNDS to staring games to intimidation games but never ever once makes a claim to why he is innocent & it wasnt him! smh GOOF!
