the shot of the kid at the door was beautiful (1:22) because there is such a story told in a few frames? in fact this entire video- the lighting, the dancing, the narration, even the little specs of dust floating in the rays of sunlight, is just wonderful
Oh how beautiful, wonderful, graceful dance is. There's no other feeling like the one that you feel when you dance. You truly feel free, like a bird. It may sound like an exaggeration, but it's not, and you can't understand it until you feel it. I wish everyone could appreciate dance but unfortunately many people say it's "easy" , "not that much", etc. when they don't even know about it...
It is so evident that, not only was the choreographer inspired by this piece of music, but the filmmaker was as well. This video is so wonderfully edited and choreographed. I've watched it more times than I can count
She's so nice I met her when she danced with my company. No asked her how she got her feet like that and she said it was natural but also lots of exercises (no help lol) and then we stretched together.
Kamilah Brown That is absolutely amazing! She is so humble, kind, and talented. Hahahaha yes feet that crazy have to be genetic. (: That is awesome that you are in a professional ballet company, I aspire to be in one in the future. If you don't mind me asking, what company are you in? I also met her when I was a dancer in American Ballet Theatre's Sleeping Beauty when they visited my state.
sandinyourshoes these are not students. They are already working. It’s a highly competitive world. Physically and mentally it takes a toll. It’s not for everyone
I would also add that there are so few positions with financial backing, and that the profession has standards that are out of reach for the majority of people on this planet. The quest for a contract with a company is part of the game/process!
@@Beane_the_RD, you're right. Ballet, as a general rule, doesn't make a dime. One must follow it purely for the love 💕 of doing it. Time is the other issue. Without financial backing, one soon cannot continue the intense training.
Does anyone know if u can just take classes at the ABT? Do u have to be there the whole day to be part of the company? I want to know because I want to be a ballet dancer but I also want to be able to go to collage (not online).
I also think 16 is to old because you will never be able to learn it that good as a person that's doing such an intense trainining since he/she is 6-10 years old.

Yes! Him thinking "someday this could be me"
Everything about ballet is so beautiful but who knows the hard work these dancers must put into it to make every moment beautiful....
purple97ish it's very time consuming and your body aces all over every day but I'm glad it's all worth it
This is so beautiful and so breathtaking to see dancers dance with their passion, isn't it?
I wonder if this means we'll get Strictly Ballet season 3?

Tights over leo vibes!
The figure skater in me says, “No! Tights go UNDER the leo!” However, they are beautiful dancers, regardless!
Strictly ballet please 😄😄
Who's the girl with the orange leotard? She's so beautiful!
LOVE This
Amazing work. Unfortunately, many students quit when they enter their 20s.

That was beautiful
Wonderful music

Anyone know where one can find the performance of this piece on film?
Beautifull😍
I've always wanted to be a dancer and I'm sure I have a chance considering I'm still young, but I don't know if my body is up to the pressure.
I would say if your younger than 12 and committed to put in a lot of work (bc you will be behind everybody else) you should do it
+Andrea Marcos Oh, then I guess it is too late. I'm 16
+Dan Yorks Its never too late! Take a class and enjoy yourself... You don't have to be a professional but if its something you love go for it!
I also think 16 is to old because you will never be able to learn it that good as a person that's doing such an intense trainining since he/she is 6-10 years old.
Dan Yorks ITS NOT TOO LATE! My dance teacher started dancing at 16 and she’s now part of a company and dances beautifully! You can do it!
Whaaat I used to dance with courtney for like 3 years....
Bravi!
Who is the girl in the thumbnail?
Wow. 😱💗
That's Courtney she used to dance at our studio😱
same
wish they would have focused more on the dancers than the director
I couldn't focus at dancing because of the choreographer 😏
Is that Giselle at 2:40 ?
Haley A yes
I wish I know where that purple 3/4 mesh sleeved leotard was from!! 😍
Definitely from Yumiko. Eleve also has a similar design for a cheaper price.
Busy, busy, busy, and what does it mean?
It would really suck if your vagina was misbehaving( all that synthetic hosiery not good for ph) or had a crazy period day
What did I even watch...
1 toe 3 fo.....
I feel like the ABT stuco has gone downhill a little in the past few years
Men should not be dancing like this.. smdh
