Band-Maid actually have done the opening themes for two animes. Their song "Different" was the OP for season 3 of "Log Horizon" and "Sense" was the OP for "Platinum End". This music video sort of tells the story of the band dealing with COVID. The opening anime section shows the band happy and frolicking, and then the blackness moves in (COVID lockdowns). Unable to play live concerts, the band (live action) get depressed, until lead singer Saiki rallies them, and they start performing for their fans in online shows (people watching them on phones and monitors). Going back to anime, they are able to go back on tour, and they have renewed energy to play for their fans.
For their 'Maidiac' fans, the "Unleash!!!!" video has tons of Easter Eggs and references to their history. This video mines scenes from their past music videos and does tell the story of their experiences during the pandemic. Band-Maid had HUGE plans for 2020. They had just released "Conqueror" their sixth studio album and were about to go on tour to promote it. They thought 2020 was going to be the year that Band-Maid 'Maid It". Then everything got cancelled and their hopes were dashed. But they fought back. They did online concerts in place of the cancelled shows, they wrote music and lyrics and rehearsed via ZOOM meetings. In place of Budokan they streamed an online concert with a full light show and a full television crew for the event. They performed a new song, "About Us" as an encouragement to the fans which has been described as "Band-Maid's love song to their fans". Watch the video - it may bring a tear to your eye. Before the lockdown was over they released the "Unseen World" album in 2021 and then released the "Unleash" EP in 2022. They do have some anime opening songs! Different is the opening for Log Horizon season 3, Sense is the opening for Platinum End. I think Glory is the ending song for a season of Yu Gi Oh. Anime or not, they are fantastic! My most favorite band ever! And I’ve been around for a while! Lol. I recommend Play live, Dice, Puzzle live. Band-Maid is a hard rock band. This was really a video for their followers, talking about the effect of Covid lockdowns on their band during 2021-22. They have done a few intros or tracks for anime, and to an anime game (the Dawn Winery theme of Genshin Impact). Unleash!!! is a little unusual place to start Band-Maid. But it does showcase their driving fast pace, and the voice of Saiki (the vocalist).

Fun reaction. This isn't one of my favorite Band Maid songs but still I listen to all the time. They have many great ones. This song is about their COVID experience, depression followed by hope, dashed hopes and more depression. Then they turned to social media (and magical girls) to lead the world out of depression to a bright future. That kinda sums up Band Maid in my life. Without them on RUclips, the last few years would have been much worse for me. And I liked your Dreamcatcher poster, my fave KPOP group. (Actually, the only KPOP group I listen to.)

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 29 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen!
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 31 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 31 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 32 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 30 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!

Recommendations? You can't go wrong with the live performances of 'Domination' or 'Freedom', but especially regarding Saiki's voice I like to recommend 'Wonderland' in its live version. This one also shows at the same time how varied their catalog can be. :)

Please do more BAND-MAID. Dice and Blooming are very popular but this band has so many songs and many of them are popular.
They do have some anime opening songs! Different is the opening for Log Horizon season 3, Sense is the opening for Platinum End. I think Glory is the ending song for a season of Yu Gi Oh. Anime or not, they are fantastic! My most favorite band ever! And I’ve been around for a while! Lol. I recommend Play live, Dice, Puzzle live. Also they have their fantastic alter-ego Band-Maiko where they dress as Maiko instead. Check out Secret Maiko Lips.

Band-Maid is a hard rock band. This was really a video for their followers, talking about the effect of Covid lockdowns on their band during 2021-22. They have done a few intros or tracks for anime, and to an anime game (the Dawn Winery theme of Genshin Impact). Unleash!!! is a little unusual place to start Band-Maid. But it does showcase their driving fast pace, and the voice of Saiki (the vocalist).
Well you guys are in luck here!! Band-Maid is currently on their 2nd US tour. They jusy played Rockville which could possibly be their greatest performance ever!!

Fun reaction. This isn't one of my favorite Band Maid songs but still I listen to all the time. They have many great ones. This song is about their COVID experience, depression followed by hope, dashed hopes and more depression. Then they turned to social media (and magical girls) to lead the world out of depression to a bright future. That kinda sums up Band Maid in my life. Without them on RUclips, the last few years would have been much worse for me. And I liked your Dreamcatcher poster, my fave KPOP group. (Actually, the only KPOP group I listen to.)
BAND-MAID have done Theme Songs for anime's, 'Glory' for Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS being one, this isn't from a real BAND-MAID anime, though everyone wishes there was one. Maybe someday.
There is not nearly enough love for their 'Glory' MV...I think you'll like the cool video and song. A GREAT location video and wicked song is 'Influencer' :-)
