If the fire were to move into the San Fernando Valley and cross north of Ventura Blvd., mandatory evacuations would be literally in the millions of people....

The fact they need fire department from other states to come to California is disturbing as California should have all the resources available for such a big impact
California has a policy of firing competent WHITE firefighters who are strong enough to fight fires in favor of DEI hires who tell people you need people of color who cannot FIGHT a fire and that if you get trapped in your home by a wildfire you are in the wrong place and we cannot rescue you which is one of the big reasons WHY people become firemen, because they want to fight fires and save lives and they don't give a damn what color you are. That is why there are not enough fire fighters along with a Governor who dumps water into the ocean rather than send it South where it is needed because its more important to save a small fish, who cuts fire budgets by millions ( along with Karen Bass, a radical Marxist who adored Fidel Castro, an evil killing his own people dictator ) and both people will not do fire mitigation like clearing out forests and hillsides of brush, dead trees and creating firebreaks as well as having EMPTY million gallon reservoirs shut down for cleaning and maintenance while the hydrants go empty and REAL firefighters not DEI hires stand weeping because they cannot STOP the spread of wildfires probably started by the crazed homeless in LA and when they had one in custody who was trying to start fires with a blowtorch while riding a bicycle they released him the next day despite their probably being a law against attempted arson and NO ONE in city, county or state government is going to say just who or what started these fires in multiple locations because fires do not start on their own without an ignition source. This morning adjacent to one of Los Angeles freeways overhanging vegetation was on FIRE with cars having to move out of the right lane to keep from being burned. WHO IS DELIBERATELY SETTING THOSE FIRES AND ALL OF THESE FIRES ? RECALL NEWSOME, BASS AND ALL OF THE LOS ANGELES CITY COUNSEL AND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND STOP VOTING FOR HACK POLITICIANS WHO DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF YOUR HOME BURNS DOWN OR THAT YOU, YOUR FAMILIES AND PETS AND ANIMALS DIE IN FIRES THAT THEIR RADICAL GREEN POLICIES CREATED. QUIT VOTING DEMOCRAT.
Another ignorant comment. Imagine the costs of maintaining a firefighting operation on a continual basis that is always prepared to deal with a catastrophe of this magnitude, as opposed to recruiting resources from other states and countries that can step in to fill the need, when necessary. Shows how little you understand about economic efficiency. Sharing resources is not unique to this situation. It happens throughout the world.
“Such a big impact” is someone no one in the world is prepared for, you dumb-a$$!! There are literally hundreds of miles burning down. This is NOT due to "climate change". LA always has had Santa Ana winds during the winter, and it isn't unusual for the rainy season to start in earnest in January. Unfortunately it is a terrible coincidence of severe Santa Ana winds coming after 2 years of high rainfall, creating substantial growth in the brush, followed by 7 months of no rainfall. This severe risk should have been obvious, but was not realistically prepared for. The mayor cuts the budget for the fire department by over $17 million but has a LARGER budget for the homeless to pay for housing homeless in $300/night hotels and giving homeless addicts free heroin, not to mention all the freebies being given to illegal migrants. The mayor gave NO explanation why she flew to Ghana, at taxpayer expense, to attend their president's inauguration after being warned about the impending severe Santa Ana conditions. The LGBTQ fire chief has prioritized DEI hiring over preparedness and competency. The governor has consistently refused to create more water storage that had been mandated several years ago. They will blame climate change rather than their own failures.
They have Their own shelters in Antartica , something big is comming and they have to live everything behind and of course nobody can go into the houses when they have to leave ,is what i think...to suspiciuos
Don't forget about the almost 20 million dollar budget cuts to the fire departments so they could use that money for immigration programs. Smart move in a state that's always having wildfires. @@RobertM-y5w
They said something about the ocean water being bad for the soil but at this point, so many lives are in danger and how much worse can ocean water be for the soil than the actual fire
There can be problems with pumping sea water, and I don't think CA laws or rules or something allow it. You'd think any of those might be suspended just now, but I guess not.
@@KC-ig2kr Fire is really really good for the fire, it fills it with nutrient filled ash which is amazing for regrowth of plants. Putting SALT water in the soil is called salting the earth and pretty much guarantees nothing will grow there again
The acreage burned so far is actually above 30,000. That's 2x the size of Manhattan. Now compare this to 9/11. It's beyond any fire fighters capability. Devastating.
The question that needs asking, is, why do Americans still build homes and buildings out of wood? We stopped doing that about 100 years ago? Bricks and mortar do not burn, wood does. Plus, In an area, prone to fire outbreaks, why have residents not fire retardant sprayed their homes? It would’ve made it a lot harder for embers to burn then? If you live in tornado alley, you buy a bunker? If you live in an area prone to fire outbreaks, you fire retardant spray your entire home, or build with bricks and mortar? I’ve never understood this, someone please make this make sense. And this isn’t a troll post guys, I’m genuinely gutted for y’all. But still wonder why these things are not a standard for living there.
Earthquakes are why they don't build with brick in that area. It's literally right on a fault line so they get BIG earthquakes which would literally collapse the entire city instead of just threaten the city like the fire is doing right now. That fault line is one of the most active earthquake zones in the world. This fire would've been extremely manageable if not for horrible decisions within the government.
bricks were banned for residential construction in California after the horrific 1906 earthquake. in bad earthquakes the california standard wood framed buildings built on pier foundations tend to bend, droop, and even slide of their foundations in tact and at most partially collapse vs the pile of rubble from a brick/cementitious structure. Many ppl are from some east coast place and are used to brick and prefer it so sometimes ppl get these super thin fake bricks that they nail to the house for the look but they are very expensive. You can if you like have a house made of steel studs (I saw this on a mansion being built in oakland) covered with a fire-retardant sheathing like gp densglass and then have the house covered with stucco and a steel roof. Termites arnt a problem in California and houses are expensive as it is so wood framing seems very smart. a 2x4 stud after inflation is $3.
Prayers from Texas !! Despite political differences no one deserves to have their Homes n livelihoods destroyed . God bless all of you in these hard times !

I grew up in the 50s at the foot of the Santa Monica Mountains in Tarzana. We would watch brushfires burn just up the hill from us in the summers. They were small and quickly extinguished. Not any more. 💔
A friend in Culver City said the 405 was closed last night, most likely through the Sepulveda Pass.

If this keeps going this is going to be way worse than the Chicago fire in 1871
Take a look at history. MANY cities burned down. The agenda started then...
🤔.... Good Point HISTORIAN remember THIS
That’s what your government wants
It's already 10x the size of the Great Chicago fire.
It's already significantly larger than the Chicago fire. The Chicago fire burned around 2100 acres, whereas the Palisades fire has burned 10 times that number, and it isn't even contained!
If the fire were to move into the San Fernando Valley and cross north of Ventura Blvd., mandatory evacuations would be literally in the millions of people....
Geez, and no signs of these fires slowing down right?
Overshoot has consequences…8.4 Billion…🔥🌎🔥
Literally? SMH
That’s really horrible and to think Gavin diverted funds that were to go to have tanks for tons of water. The people of Cali already paid for it. Where did that money go? Probably to his Chinese partners!

Thank you Fire Fighters for saving our life ❤
Cal Fire doesn't save Republican voting communities, it's against their policy.
The fact they need fire department from other states to come to California is disturbing as California should have all the resources available for such a big impact
Especially when they're one of the highest taxed state in the country.
This isn’t some normal residential fire where a couple apartments in s building are burning. This is on a mass scale. No state or country is EVER sufficiently prepared for something this enormous.

Ocean water will make a natural fire break so the environmentalists say. Ocean water will damage the soil, nothing will grow for many years. I say dump Ocean water NOW!!!! Life is more important right now than living soil.
The dropping of water is to contain spread as opposed to fight central flames directly in a fire of this size.
The wildlife is being decimated and winds have already picked back up worse than earlier this is gonna get way worse is a burning deck of cards!
Cali doesn't know what fire breaks are
Look at that terrain. May factors BTW too. Didn't they say this fire double backed?

Earthquakes...
brick and mortar is good for fires, but not so good for earthquakes
This is spiritual !!!!
