I think so to. I am the one who asked Randy to look at the Mariner. He did not hesitate to look at it for me. The Mariner was for a friend that lost his a year ago, he was the original owner. Hello from Phoenix Arizona!
The switch in the Lincoln MKZ (sw8241) it's a brake light switch. Stoplight switch directs current to the stop lights, cruise control, and shift interlock to turn them on or off.
Babayega X....question on a 2013 Lincoln MKT. The rear light bar for the taillights is dim on half of it. Is their a way to fix it? Does it need replacement? Is their a bulb to replace or does the whole assembly have to be replaced?
Uber Man is glowing up I can wait until you become a big RUclipsr because I've been here since the beginning or close to I remember when you had under 15k subs
V6 Mariner would have badge on rear hatch. Daughter's 06 AWD with 115k was hit by tree - took out back hatch, 2 small dings in roof and rear quarter - insurance totaled it for $4300 and we bought back for $600 plus deductible. Used hatch was $270 in factory color delivered.
I’m commenting before watching but the bulk of the 4.6 Northstar engines in Cadillacs are plagued with 5 very specific issues. Sadly, if they rear their ugly heads before the warranty is up, their owners will usually scrap them because the expense outweighs the cars value. I’ve got an absolutely stunning 1997 Seville. She’s now got 63K on the clock and starting to have the dreaded issues. So, I ponied up the $$$ and had a new 4.6 built and shipped to me. It was dropped off at my mechanic yesterday for the transplant. When it’s done, I’ll have well over 10K invested into a everyday garden variety Seville that’s worth about $2500. BUT, I’ll have one of the 9% of these cars left on the road that’ll last me 10 years!
Lance Dukel The cost of doing that is still large with most mechanics. Rather than spending the $$$$ to just replace the head bolts and then still have an engine that could fail in one of the 4 other areas, complete replacement was the best choice. ProMar builds the motor without any of the previous issues AND offers an unlimited mileage warranty for 3 years. As my daily driver, I’ll get 200K from her and it will pay for itself.
Randy. You're a very lucky man to have your fiance willing to go to coparts with you on a regular basis. Bought that allstar bleeder you used. It's awesome how easy it is to do brakes now.
There were two Eldorado's in that movie. The black 2002 and also there was an 79-85 Biarritz that the one kid stole and found the trunk full of drugs. They two of the best generations of the Eldorado, next to the first FWD generation of 67-70.
Been watching your channel for awhile. Your tips on buying at copart have been very helpful. Was bidding on a vehicle, and the bid was getting up there. And i said to myself "dont bid more then your willing to lose" so i walked away. Love your channel
I think I was only 5 or 6 when my grandpa had it he died in 2005 my uncle took the car and traded it in for a brand new Jeep Camander at the time and my uncle still has the Jeep today
Randy i got a 2004 civic 260k bought it brand new and I’m still on the original engine and transmission. And I just bought a 2019 Honda Accord 2.0 touring. I really enjoy your videos!!
Randy, that Milenia S is really wonderful find, it was Mazdas luxury sedan and rides really good. Hope it would go cheap enough and you will win it to do great content and enjoy it by yourself. It looks like it was maintain well and belts should be no problem :)
20k mile truck with a few thousand dollars of work: "This is way more than I can spend now" Just seconds before "I'm thinking about buying a 140k mile truck for $14k". You're hilarious.
Im 17 and last year it got me out of a ditch when I thought there was a road underneath some snow and, well, there wasn't, and I was driving an Elantra. 😂
Same motor in the Mariner I have in my escape . The 2.5 duratec is a good little motor and Ford put them in the escape and also the fusion I believe for years. So good car for who ever gets it.
Thats a very risky game you are playing with the Millenia. Definitively a cool piece of automotive history thought, the single remenant of the Amanti brand of the bubble era. Thanks, Jalopnik.
The Starting in 99, the Mazda 2.3 Miller Cycle Engine has a NON-Interference engine, like many Mazdas.. no damage risk if the timing belt breaks on the highway.. drive it till it fails then fix..
The SRS light on the Honda is for the vtec on the back of the motor by the fire wall. EZ fix. That's probably why it's been setting. If the vtec isn't working it will go into linp mode.
1st, thanx for the 4.89 Carfax - wanted one, but didn't want to pay full price. 2nd - older Hondas are known for bad transmissions, I'd never touch one - plus the theft factor. 3rd - Another thanx for the Daily Adventures with Randy..it's why your channel is addictive. Oops...forgot THANK YOU for showing regular cars again. Wish you nothing but the best for you & J for 2020!
Best car ive ever owned/ still own is a old honda accord 1990 put on 38k miles on it over 4 years and just did wear parts on it oh and all a rack and pinion on it last year runs like a champ still, its one of my favorite car styles
New guy here, I recently bought a copart truck and having troubles getting the video uploaded now... that new ford will probably get rebuilt by a dealer that has access to all the parts it needs from the aftermarket for its cheaper to go that route and give it a lift probably then to go back to factory i believe
The Mazda Millenia looks awesome, I think it would make a great project like you said, change the water pump, timing belt etc... if the price is right go for it!
The MKZ, Eldorado and Millenia S are all great potential buys. The F150 will be expensive to put back together. There’s nothing you can’t fix Randy. Nice of you to check out a vehicle for a loyal subscriber..👍🙏 Now let’s get that 500K subscribers for 2020. ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Man it’s so cool that you looked at this car for another person. I wish u could do that for me lol but probs a dif state I love the community but scared to take the leap lol
Another walkaround hello! Loving the Mariner would be a quick flip for whoever gets it. The F150 will be a good one too but aluminum parts are expensive El dog...Randy get this one. Its listed as undercarriage damage so probably brake line is broken. But a low mile ETC is worth the money. Even if it needs a motor it's the lowest mile one outside of a museum. Millennia is a cool car but I'd avoid it. Never heard of them being cheap to maintain or repair. But yes they are sweet looking cars. Used to lust after the pearlescent white when I owned a Mazda Protege5.
If I recall correctly, the Millenia had no tilt wheel adjustment. You had to be happy with the position it was set at when built at the factory. I could be mistaken....
Randy that Honda is nothing but an anchor!!! Run with that mileage regardless of the fact it's a honda. Now that Cadillac Eldorado would be a great car if you could get it dirt cheap and have the motor gone thru!!!
This was Mazdas attempt to start a US luxury brand IIRC it would have been called Amati and completed with Acura and Infinity. However the 90s economic bubble popped and Mazda got cold feet. Would have given the other Japanese lux brands some major competition since Mazda was making driver-focused cars and they were going to put rotaries in some models. Yet Genesis exists...le sigh
If you can get your hands a 5.0 F150 you won't be disappointed. Mine is a 13 model and only problem I have had was a water pump at 60k and a rear door latch which was a recall
G'day, I noticed on the Lincoln that the light switch was in the "parking lights" position. I just finished watching "Monkey Wrench Mike" with Chris Crysler Crossfire.
You should be afraid of any NorthStar. Our family had engine rebuilds before 50,000 miles on two cars. The problem was bad engineering. The head bolts were too small and the threads were too fine. The threads in the block stretch and allows for the head to loosen up. The rebuild should include drilling out and taping the block for the bigger bolts with coarse deep threads. That Cadillac goes for $2500 out in public with a clean title. That one should be under $1000 and still not worth it.
*I had an Eldorado too. mine was a 94 that leaked from the middle block seal. it was a love hate relationship i had with that car, rode smooth as hell but the oil thing made it a total PITA. I had the pre-Mellennia Mazda , the 929 bought it with 136K on it drove it till it had 234K and then started having a lot of problems with it*
randy, on the Northstars you should be afraid of the low mile cars. The high mile cars have gotten past the point that if there was going to be a problem it would have been fixed or it is not going to happen. Low mile cars are low mile cars for a reason.
My hats off to that Mazda for having DMX on with y'all going make me lose my mind, up in here, up in here going as she fired up. That's a true gangster car right there 😂🤣
that Ford ain't bad. just finding the parts is your challenge. Hook that frame rail to a come along and the other side to a tree. frame pull the old time way.
That’s cool of you to review that car for someone. Good Guy
I think so to. I am the one who asked Randy to look at the Mariner. He did not hesitate to look at it for me. The Mariner was for a friend that lost his a year ago, he was the original owner. Hello from Phoenix Arizona!
Good Guy well you didn't say you want to discuss cluster farming
@@chriswilliam2956- No, we did not talk about cluster farming.
I wish that Cadillac could be saved. It’s so beautiful. Amazing condition!
I was a Cadillac tech during the north star days. Just do the head gaskets with the big thread insert kit for the block and you got a great motor
The millenia has to be one of the nicest sedans ever to come out of Japan.
It think you should get it! It'd be an awesome project
7:38 I hate push to start so I’m glad and thankful Ford still offers key’d ignition on lower trim levels, on the lariat it’s push to start
The switch in the Lincoln MKZ (sw8241) it's a brake light switch. Stoplight switch directs current to the stop lights, cruise control, and shift interlock to turn them on or off.

No wonder it was dead
Uber Man is glowing up I can wait until you become a big RUclipsr because I've been here since the beginning or close to I remember when you had under 15k subs
That Millennia Is Awesome Grab It Randy!
The Bronco would be the coolest project by far. Think about it. An American Icon that Ford is about to revive this year.

Racerboy221 I have one myself she’s running strong it’s an 95 Seville STS she’s running strong still . Dope car
Why not just stud the block and be done with it.
Lance Dukel The cost of doing that is still large with most mechanics. Randy, get that link to that Cadillac ETC link to ol' Big Al's Bike & Auto. I bet he'd give it a good home now that is back south in FL..
You will probably pass 200K before the next video, so let me say congrats Randy!!
Get the Millenia, that's a beautiful car!
I've always wanted one of those cadillacs. Ever since I seen it in gone in 60 seconds
niteninja 01 me too! Exactly the same triple black. That car was sick back then, hard to believe that was over twenty years ago!
There were two Eldorado's in that movie. The black 2002 and also there was an 79-85 Biarritz that the one kid stole and found the trunk full of drugs. They two of the best generations of the Eldorado, next to the first FWD generation of 67-70.
Buy that bronco, the content revenue you'd get from that would be phenomenal.
Been watching your channel for awhile. Your tips on buying at copart have been very helpful. Was bidding on a vehicle, and the bid was getting up there. And i said to myself "dont bid more then your willing to lose" so i walked away. Love your channel
My grandpa had a 2001 tan Caddilac Eldorado I was to young to remember but I loved it
Yest had my Stang out for spin & saw a silver haired dude in one thinking he was Joe Cool! I hope he was, life is too short to not enjoy your ride.
I think I was only 5 or 6 when my grandpa had it he died in 2005 my uncle took the car and traded it in for a brand new Jeep Camander at the time and my uncle still has the Jeep today
i could watch copart walk arounds all day! love the content and your transparency randy.

Man that Mazda !
Hi auto auction Rebuilds what ever happened with the Volkswagen Passat 2007 model that you brought for $300
It sold for 3500
Those northstar v8s are a problem child too, but damn I always loved that 2 door !
20k mile truck with a few thousand dollars of work: "This is way more than I can spend now"
Just seconds before "I'm thinking about buying a 140k mile truck for $14k".
You're hilarious.
I've had AAA since I was 16.
I think it was a Xmas gift.
Teenagers should have AAA.
Im 17 and last year it got me out of a ditch when I thought there was a road underneath some snow and, well, there wasn't, and I was driving an Elantra. 😂
I cant lie, that Mazda looked like a rebadged Lexus
It looks better. The Milenia was certainly one of a kind. I'd take the risk and get it.
Same motor in the Mariner I have in my escape . The 2.5 duratec is a good little motor and Ford put them in the escape and also the fusion I believe for years. So good car for who ever gets it.
I remember the Millenia, my mom had one and we loved it! And it was white with beige interior. Blast from the past!
Good to see old long copart walk aruounds
Thats a very risky game you are playing with the Millenia. Definitively a cool piece of automotive history thought, the single remenant of the Amanti brand of the bubble era. Thanks, Jalopnik.

That silver mariner looks great. Definitely was taken good care of
Easy fix, i think u can bend the hood back into shape pretty way too otherwise the junkyard has a few of those
That dentside bronco would be such a cool project... shame to see something that old get beat up like that

I think the millennia would be great content
Hi again. I love the walk arounds. Checking out all those cars is a blast. Thanks!
The Mazda Millenia looks awesome, I think it would make a great project like you said, change the water pump, timing belt etc... if the price is right go for it!
Still have my merc mariner 271000 k.. Still runs fine
Superior Auto Flips would review a vehicle for someone else... Then buy it out from under them. 😂
I want the Lincoln and the Cadillac ❤️❤️❤️
The MKZ, Eldorado and Millenia S are all great potential buys. The F150 will be expensive to put back together. There’s nothing you can’t fix Randy. Nice of you to check out a vehicle for a loyal subscriber..👍🙏
Now let’s get that 500K subscribers for 2020. ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Randy! Pop on that 78 bronco!!! That’d be some terrific content!
I’d love to see it too, although he probably wouldn’t bid on it
Man it’s so cool that you looked at this car for another person. I wish u could do that for me lol but probs a dif state I love the community but scared to take the leap lol
You would be an expert in my opinion!!!
Randy is a good guy in my opinion. I was the one who asked him to look at it for me. Hello from Phoenix Arizona.
Put an offer on that Lincoln. My mom had that same one. Very reliable, and beautiful car despite the damage.
Honda and that Lincoln. Bread and butter baby
I love that little Mercury
I bet the North Star 4.6L will have a blown head gaskets that s why its at COPART.
Stripped head bolts you mean.
Another walkaround hello!
Loving the Mariner would be a quick flip for whoever gets it.
The F150 will be a good one too but aluminum parts are expensive
El dog...Randy get this one.
That’s the sound of a northstar.
You gotta love those old Hondas. They go forever. However a friend of mine has a 2011 Civic that she’s had since new and it’s been a pile of crap.
Is it just me or is the intro clip on this video usually the outro?
Yes, this has happened once before as well
If I recall correctly, the Millenia had no tilt wheel adjustment. You had to be happy with the position it was set at when built at the factory. I could be mistaken....
You’re the man Randy.
The my aunt had was the premium it had the digital dash and the steering wheel moved electronically
Randy you should look at that Pontiac Vibe it'll make a nice quick flip since it's Toyota powered.
SW8241=Brake light switch
You can tell when a man spoils his women when she's too good for a Civic EX 😂😂😂
Honda's never die...
Run from that Caddy. My NorthStar is possessed. Today the throttle stuck and scared the crap out of me when the car didn't want to stop.
Millenia has my vote👍
Randy that Honda is nothing but an anchor!!! Run with that mileage regardless of the fact it's a honda.
Now that Cadillac Eldorado would be a great car if you could get it dirt cheap and have the motor gone thru!!!
Get the millenia nice car i think the content will be great for that car
When you check a Honda Auto trans the unlike others the engine should be off. So it was overfilled.
That Mazda was called a Xedos 9 over here, I had the smaller one called Xedos 6, it had a little 2.0 V6 and was lovely.
This was Mazdas attempt to start a US luxury brand
IIRC it would have been called Amati and completed with Acura and Infinity. However the 90s economic bubble popped and Mazda got cold feet.
Would have given the other Japanese lux brands some major competition since Mazda was making driver-focused cars and they were going to put rotaries in some models.

78 Bronco YES love them.

Great video man the cars like the civic would be a good flip to a HS kid for their 1st car so I get why you look at them cars

Probably when people started buying the cars he was looking at.
randy, on the Northstars you should be afraid of the low mile cars. The high mile cars have gotten past the point that if there was going to be a problem it would have been fixed or it is not going to happen. Low mile cars are low mile cars for a reason.
