Copart Walk Around 10-1-2020 + Honda Civic Del Sol
#Copart #Salvage #Auction
When you cold start a Honda it always start idling at 1500rpm.
When the engine warms up the idle drops to 900rpm.
I thought the same lol literally every Honda ever
Yep
I have always liked the Del Sol from when it was introduced.
The go pro sounds pretty darn good actually!
The Honda is all that and a can of chips.
The Honda probably ran over something that fell of a pickup or semi, flipped up and blew out the fender. That's my guess.
@@montyholland3357 personally I think it had a tire blowout but who knows?
I agree with blowout. I had that happen once at 75 on the interstate and it nearly took the whole fender off. Afterward, I really had to look to see any damage to the wheel, which still amazes me.
@@Seeingred21 NEVER had a blowout at that speed. But I was driving a crew van with about ten people and me plus a large utility trailer when my passenger wheel decided it didn't like our company and up and left went rolling away ahead of us Just as we were coming onto a bridge. When the hub hit the break Caliper and lines ripped lose lost all my fluid, no brakes... Had to use the ebrake half way, throttle up a little to lift the nose and slowly eased the speed as I crossed the bride and came to a stop about a mile later. It was one of those times when you wish you had spare underwear 😂😱. Cuz first ya say it then you do it.. lol. JK
I have an 2004 civic that I bought in 2003 still have it 310,000 miles Just regular maintenance. I had a del sol back in 2000 also! I hope all is well randy!!! 🔥🔥👊👊
My dad had a 1993 Honda del sol si for 20 years. (Bought it new and sold it in 2013) He put 375,000 miles on it in that time period and has always been looking for another one.
A family friend of ours bought a civic like that, put over 300,000 miles. It finally needed a head gasket even though the car still ran. She bought another new civic to replace it.
Buy the Honda Del Sol. When they were new I had a friend that worked at a Honda dealer. They couldn’t keep them on the lot......
I got a boost of serotonin just from how cute it is
The Honda Civic kinda look like they tried driving it with a parking boot on?? Maybe didn’t have enough power to make it around the whole wheel well, but if you look at the body of the car, it seems to have a sizable dent as well.
The gadget in the Mercedes armrest storage is the Bluetooth receiver
That Del Sol is in great shape for being a '93 not to mention you don't see them around anymore. Rescue it Randy!
I would definitely take a shot at both of the Civics. That Civic Del Sol was obviously loved and the 09 Civic has pleanty of life left in it
That Civic has been well looked after, the wheel barrels are pretty much spotless, not a lot of Civic owners put that much care into their car
I ran over a traffic cone and it did the same thing.
I worked Road construction for yrs. NEVER seen a cone do that before. Not saying that they can't just never seen it
@@montyholland3357 it was sideways on the road, it was during a storm. It surprised me as well.
The Armrest thing is the Bluetooth module. Its a leftover from prior Mercs where they sold you a special, overpriced, motorola cell phone with Merc stickers on it that was flashed with special firmware so you couldn't use an off the shelf Motorola of the same model... When bluetooth became a thing, they just made a fake phone that interfaced to the old system and connected to your phone over bluetooth.
Get those Honda’s! Both of them!
Yes. Get both of them!
It's been a hot minute since i've seen a Del Sol.
I been subscribe for 5 years and never got boring of your videos keep up the good work 👏
The srs light is on in the Mercedes because the headrests deploy when you get into a rear end accident
I would definitely buy that Honda Del Sol
Had a Del Sol Trans Top back in the 90s, awesome car. The buttons on the dial shroud operate the trans top, its the quirkiest thing you'll ever see.
Thanks for adding more Honda's Randy! I'm so happy!
My thought on the Ram is it had a flat bed on it and they just threw a regular bed back on it and didn't bother connecting the filler tube. The Honda with the fender, looks like it took a hit into the wheel side of the fender and that's why it is like it is. You can see in the opening where the impact was to the fender. The Benz? Meh. LOL The Del Sol is cool. 🙃
Randy I think you'd enjoy buying that DelSol and take a weekend to swap the motor out for a manual 94-2001 GS-R motor. It's a very easy project and you'll have a manual peppy super fun FF style car!
Wow gsr blades on a Del sol looks cool save it randy save it
You should get the honda as your back and forth car to copart walk arounds 💯
Another great copart walk around with charming Mr. Randy
When my wife and I were 18 we had a del Sol for our first car. Both of us learned to drive stick in it. We had to upgrade a year later for something bigger because my daughter would be born soon.
Nice Del Sols are starting to gain in value.
on the honda Civic I was thinking it blew a tire.
Or they ran over a concrete pylon in a carpark. My mum did that.
Those delsols are cool little cars my grandmother bought a 1995 brand new in green. The second one was green and the 3rd one was black. All 1995s. My great aunt and uncle had 1 in blue. Yes the back window rolls down
Imagine overbidding on a civic because of the vacuum and free Pringle’s inside lol
The ram definitely had a flat bed on it . Hence why the fuel filler is gone and being a different color
The Honda is fantastic!
I agree with bidding on the Del Sol It’s probably the cutest car I’ve seen on this channel so far
Good luck getting the Del Sol. I love those, too. The only thing that would have made it cooler is if it was a 5-speed manual in either black or green. Del Sols look awesome in both colors but I bet the white could look great, too with tinted windows and a polish and wax.
BTW, congrats in the MG. I can't wait to see videos on it. Those are really cool cars.
High idle is called stratified start its for emissions purposes and lets the catalytic converter warm up for emissions
The del sol seemed the best out of anything in this video.
Love my del sol. Buy it they’re so easy to work on and fun to drive
Also, I sold a 97 del sol si auto with rotted quarter panels with 210k for $1800.. definitely desirable you should get it for sure you’ll make money on it and enjoy it... rear window goes down everyone loves that
25:00 The ram had a service bed or body on it that's why the gas fill tube is off and the rear bumper is missing. I would also check the Suspension because they're usually overloaded and also see if any of the lights are hooked up on the bed.
the first honda you looked at seems it got a little to close to something and it hooked the fender ripping it back. the Del Sol, i felt the same way when i first saw one.
The Jeep is a Crash Hawk
You broke those BBQ Pringles when you tossed them back into the trunk so harshly. Everyone knows how bad it sucks to try to eat broken Pringle's. Ends up making a big mess on your lap....Geez Randy, use your head son!🤪
Thank you randy for taking your time out an showing out the honda i love my honda
Randy honestly with all that wind I could still hear you perfectly fine
SRS is in from the driver headrest ejecting forward from the rear hit. If you look the headrest is pushed forward.
I’m gonna look at a 2007 Nissan Maxima later today lol
I wish I could find a Plymouth prowler/Dodge prowler at coparts. Of Course I couldn't afford it if I did.
Monty the troll hunter what's uppp
@@fluffy1346 hey how you doing buddy? Doing ok here
@@montyholland3357 hanging in there my friend
I love both Hondas!!!!
Would like to see you get the Honda and Mercedes. I know why you like the del sol there’s not many around. Good video just a little wind noise!
NO STATIC NO MUFFLING NO WIND NOISE SO I SAY GOOD JOB KEEP UP THE AMZING VIDEOS
Something hooked the fender on the civic and pulled it, luckily nothing else got damaged. I think the Ram has a flat bed and that’s where the fuel filler tube and hose come from. Since they put back a bed on it, those parts weren’t needed.
Love the del sol the jeep is a trailhawk off road package
That jeep compass was a trail hawk.
Get the del sol, sell it to weird beard, & sell it to me 😉
That looks like a new tyre and the damage looks like the civic had a high speed blowout causing the damage.
Randy:
The 2008 Mercedes-Benz GL 450 4-Matic is a beautiful vehicle at whose helm I wish I was; still, I am a bit unsettled about the recalcitrance of its cabin climate control system. It sounds like to me that the evaporator core and possibly the blower motor need to be interchanged along with a refrigerant recharge. Now that the Northern Hemisphere is oriented away from the Sun, go get that evaporator core and blower motor interchanged . . . and do not forget the heater core as well.
The 1993 Honda Civic Del Sol's detachable cabin roof has two latches holding it down -- one on the passenger's side along with the one on the driver's side. I would really love to see you drive away at the helm of that Del Sol, Randy; that is the vehicle my mentor Mr. Meade used to drive!
Cummins doesn't have glow plugs they have a grid heater
1994 Honda Civic del sol was my first car back in 2004
Lol , great intro 🤙🏼 you love that challenger huh ?
From Australia ,you got to love America .
Is anyone else bored with these walkarounds we want to see the good old days fixing cars bringing them back to life and selling for profit.
Honda Civic it won't be a bad little car for commuter another great video thank you for the video content
It’s the Bluetooth dongle. It’s the device that allows you to use Wi-Fi from your phone and the cars audio system.
The black Honda Civic looks like it may have been a victim of the tail swing collision of a semi.
L
Q
Love the sound of that Cummins
Not even close to being worth 16,000. That truck has been trashed.
Black good decal on the jeep is for sun glare for off roading
Love the del sol
Love my Honda's and Toyota's
Wind noise wasn't bad. Great content as always. Really appreciate what you do.
Randy you keep checking off the bucket list to valhalla...
That black civic looks like it drove over something... maybe a parking block, or a bricked and landscaped driveway and it ripped the fender off at the bottom!!
If it were me... id buy both hondas... they make good youngster/college kid cars and have decent resale!!
Im also like you. Im 41 now, and when I was in highschool... I loved the Del Sol.. especially the targa top and roll down window!! I want one so bad but I got stuck with a 1990 LTD Crown Victoria instead!! The Del Sols are getting harder to find as most are thrashed and trashed, somebodys low mileage pride and joy and theyre asking way to much, or they are totally "RICED" out!!
Someone got angry turned into hulk and yanked the wing away lol
I remember the Del Sol. I used to want Toyota MR2. The Audio was still just fine to me. The only time wind noise was noticeable was at the end...
Dodge ram may of had a flatbed and they just put an extra bed on it to get rid of it.
That Mercedes SL next to the scruffy Diesel RAM would have been interesting...
That Honda civic in the beginning would sell fast and it has low mileage for the year
The black Honda Civic probably had a tire blowout causing the damage to the fender and it being such an old car they probably didn’t want to fix it
That thing in the center console is a Bluetooth dongle. You just need to connect to it for hands free calling
The blind spots in that body style Civic are scary and the one I drove was gutless and had a weird 5 speed. It wasn't bad to drive just underpowered. I like the Del Sol. The truck could be fun.
I just love it when randy gets into Hondas
You should buy those BBQ Pringles Randy
*2013 was the first year of DPF components on Dodge ram trucks. So that Dually you were looking at does not have ANY of those components, never did. just a year too soon for that i'm afraid. That hole you showed for the fuel tank is a round cross member too, NOT the fuel tank lol To be fair they do put those beds on Gas powered trucks too so you could have been right about that and that one does have SOME deletes on it so none of what you were thinking was out of character. AWW man, that Delsol would be nice. loved the targa tops and the power back windows in those. and it's a honda 166K it's just getting warmed up good. LOTS of life left in that one yet. The Jeep Compas is a "Trail Hawk" like the one in the video below, same color and everything. Yeah those things are serious Weaksauce! not any other way to put it. BUT they come with some of the most comfortable seats in them*
ruclips.net/video/5r67yBu1xtg/видео.html
🌟My guess on the Civic is a tire blew apart & took out the fender . Thanks Randy for the walk around 🚘👊Salute 😎
Vid sounded fine to me. I don't care about wind noise, I like the black civic I'd drive that
The Honda had a tire blowout going down the highway, then they replaced it. I had a friend experience the same disaster with tire pieces flying everywhere, destroying the fender and trim pieces.
had an 88 CRX w same motor -JACKSON CAM will make you grin for miles - 911 stuff baby
A few more trucks would be great. I don't mind the wind noise.
HEy Randy The Del Sol is a collectable now
Hell yea the honda world is huge man there's a big market for them hondas
The person who is reading this comment i wish you great success health love and happiness i am from morocco have a good life for everyone here God bless United States of America ^^💟🕇
Hope your doing great Randy! Good luck on your new MG!
on the civic. I think someone backed into it with a tow hitch. hooked the car with the ball and pulled away.
I’m with you on the Del Sol. Might not be much to some, but I think it would be a cool weekend car. And yes, the Jeep would be a Trailhawk.
I like the GL450 but I know it’s going to eat me out of a home.
The Honda Del Sol is non-VTEC, so it idles a bit higher during warmup. I would love to grab it and make it my fun car.
That Del Sol went in for service and they didn't pay the bill I guarantee it. Fresh fluids, service tags in it, and it's in that good of shape?
The audio sounds good
The delsol was definitely a cool car for its time
The BENZ has a bad resister on the ac compressor . They go bad from being jump started a lot and driving on a bad battery. . You can order the resister on line for like $5 bucks
