The Nethermancer actually genesis's precessing is not as good as arcade games and neogeo. It's just sub par. But SNES's processing is really bad, even more than pc-engine.
On almost every technical aspect, the Super Nintendo is better. The only thing the Genesis had over it was a synthesizer and (of course) faster processing. The Super Nintendo, however, had 64 times the colors available on the Genesis, bigger sprites, Mode 7, the Super FX chip, more simultaneous sprites, higher resolution, 2 more audio channels, as well as twice the RAM, and more onscreen planes. If you're arguing that it's better than the NES, well, IT CAME OUT 4 YEARS AFTER THE NES, of course it's going to be more advanced. It also had the advantage of being released into a market that was saved by - what else - the NES.

Not even close. Nintendo has manage to be dominant in the market with both consoles and games doing pretty descent, with some exceptions of course. Not even close. Nintendo has manage to be dominant in the market with both consoles and games doing pretty descent, with some exceptions of course.
Furthermore Nintendo owns the two biggest gaming franchises, Super Mario and Pokemon. Also Nintendo does something that most other game companies forgot. Make the goddam games fun. I enjoyed playing Splatoon more than any Call of Duty or Battlefield.

Despite the epic fail of the Wii U, Nintendo has over 10 billion dollars CASH in the bank, the company is in the black, the 3DS, Wii U, and Amiibo all sell at a profit. The success of Pokemon Go alone has raised Nintendo's market cap from 20 billion to 37 billion *AND COUNTING* in just one weeks time. That make their market cap even with Sony's. Even when Nintendo screws up, they still know how to manage their money. That's why all their consoles wind up selling at a profit.
Nintendo isn't going anywhere. Meanwhile, despite the run away success of the PS4 and it selling at a profit of $18 dollars per console on day one, Sony as a whole is still nearly 5 billion dollars in the hole. So if anything Nintendo may wind up buying the gaming division of Sony somewhere down the line.

Yes it did they just called it blast processing so it would be better marketed. Blast processing is the fact that the Genesis's processor ran at 7.67 while SNES's processor ran at 3.58 MHz.

Guys.....this was the time when Sega can compete Nintendo which was basically true, but to bad Sony killed Sega, the Genesis was my first console and it was fantastic, then I started playing Nintendo since the n64, don't get me wrong but Nintendo is fantastic as always but this was a serious competition.

Ahh. Yes sega went from the top of the world the the bottom of the toilet. (No boogerman pun) and now aparently "ninten'dont" is one of the most iconic video game compony of all time. But I don't have a bone to pick with sega I actually like some of there games like earthworm jim, sonic, beavis and butthead and quite a few more
we need to make sega great again. part of what makes me think sega is failing besides bad games is how passive they've become. if sega had made a new sonic game that was actually good and the commercial did something like poking fun at the oversaturated market of fps games and then show footage of their game like what they did here maybe people might care about sega again.
