Anyone else find these mystery box type things a bit gimmicky? They always say that you get like 25% more value than the box costs. But most of the stuff is weird things that you probably have no need for. Imo you might as well spend 100$ on a few things you will actually use rather than getting 1 or 2 things that you will use and the rest just weird.
They are one of the biggest ripoffs in sales lol. Not even an exaggeration, cheap junk that they overvalue & sell you for a higher price.. Fuckin scam artists
I mean if I was rich beyond belief it might be something interesting to subscribe for, but since I make just above poverty wages, they're all a complete waste of my time and money.
I see a lot of people giving you flak for not having a gun but if you don’t want one or don’t feel comfortable getting one than don’t. If you want to than spend the money on training first. It’s way more dangerous for people to get one out of peer pressure or some obligation than for the want to learn and train properly. Love the vids. Very clean and detailed production style.
the wood is called fatwood found in red pine trees and branches where the branch meets the the tree it is a fantastic natural firestarter...saturated by mother nature with lots of pine resin
I work for a rock climbing equipment company (leaving out who for obvioius reasons) and anytime I have a knife or axe with a poor heat treat I take the blade and put it through our heat treat process for carabiners and other metal products. The steel is very solid after being treated😎
I personally like the 'mental tweezers' at 8:47 into video with label telling what's in the first aid kit... I have a pretty darn good first aid kit but I dont have mental tweezers!
Those sticks are fat lighter or fire lighter, it's usually pine that the sap/resin has settled in, they give it away here when you buy a short stack of firewood
I got a bear grylls axe when I didn’t no any better way to soft but real easy to sharpen but u will literally have to sharpen after every use that u take more than a few swings.
Honestly how cool would a subscription box be from a custom maker or a super collectible knife co - case or grimsmo for example They have a set amount of subs, say 25-100. The only way to get on the list is if someone drops off. You pay a monthly sub where every month - quarter they send out 1 high quality knife to their x number of mailers. Tbh this is a far better way of doing it than sending out a dump of gimmicks. I would definitely be interested in seeing a truly high quality sub box.

Do yourself a favor and get the items you really need & use for the highest price you are able to afford. Buy cheap stuff in an expensive subscription based box and you'll pay twice. "Get $400 worth of EDC items for only $69.99. NOW! " Yeah, I wouldn't trust all the gear that is included in these boxes just one second. But that's just my personal opinion.

I'm good on the other stuff.
Also that Ranger Handbook? Yeah. The information in there is pretty nice to know, and it would make for a good field reference. But it looks absolutely huge, and nobody is going to want to add that monstrosity to their already-heavy-as-shit gear. There are better, significantly smaller options. It's a novelty item.

The unboxing was okay the contents were either useful or filler but I'm wondering what does the $400 legendary box comes with? If it doesn't come with either a Leatherman signal or MUT or a Benchmade blade I would be kinda disappointed.

A taurus pt111 g2c was my first edc gun! Great little pistol that cost me just over $270 at a shop/range I frequent. If anyone finds one for a good price I say pick it up it's worth the money.

It'd more fluidity to the video. Cut out the frames where you have the card in hand and looking at the list, instead, I'd just insert the name somewhere as you bring the item up. as for the box, kinda sucks lol but I'd do a video if it was sent to me for free as well

Those are Fat wood. The resin in it is the natural tree resin. Probably a pine was used to make them.
They also charge you $25-$30/month for shipping and their customer service sucks. I did 2 videos on these guys and I was not happy with them.
