This is too small for a 300 watt panel. Maybe 12v 30 watt 2.5A panel and probably 12v 120 watt modified sine wave inverter. Battery could be 17ah lead acid. If battery gets totally drained, I think the panels can charge the battery in full in around 7 hours. This can be improved using lithium ion 18650 cells, extremely light to carry and can pack a punch of power. Although the panels may not be enough anymore to charge them on time if the capacity gets too big.
18650s suck at load. Lithium is 10000x better under heavy loads vs the 186's lighter loads doesnt matter much but the heavier 90-200W range makes a lot of difference. And like said,these SLA batteries are pretty damn dookie by todays standards. UPS decices use them and only provide what,a mere 5-15minutes of 90watts? Stupid impractical.

To Double it Up it's input Power and service period Up to 4 hrs. at its 50% Capacity. and Recharging the Batteries in approximately 8 hrs. I have made a similar system I have a 500w P.I. with a 100w Solar Panels & charger controler Kit from Harbor Fraight Tools. 2 12v,.17 a/h Batteries are Separated. Under $300.00

It's strange that this solar system produced 300w. Perhaps from the inverter I guess if the battery capacity would be 25A at max, not only 17A as shown here. It would be better if battery capacity is 35A to provide 300w through inverter without being drained by the time while solar panels are able to charge it again during daytime provide having over-charging protection mechanism to protect the battery. Otherwise, the chassis and output panel are really nice, apart from being easily portable.
