    10:30 That is still not McKinley Hill. It's still part of BGC. Mckinley Hill is few more km going to Venice Grand Canal and all the way going to Makati Ayala before crossing EDSA Road. From your location, you're going to a Mall called Market2x and SM Aura.

    • @Reardon_Explores
      @Reardon_Explores  Год назад

      You're right, it's not McKinley Hill. That is why I said it's McKinley Pkwy, the circle and road that passes by Market Market and SM Aura. (Which I also went to).

    • @mocabe01

      Just a clarification: Despite having "City" in their names, Eastwood City and BGC are not really cities by our law definition (i.e. The Local Government Code of the Phils). Both these business districts do not elect their own mayor. But you are correct that Eastwood City is in Quezon City, which is a real city. Similarly, BGC is in Taguig City. Quezon and Taguig are among the many cities that comprise "Metro Manila" which is the old but popular name of the National Capital Region (NCR).
      Just wanting to spread correct info about PHL. We certainly do not want foreigners to end up in Quiapo instead of Eastwood because they mistakenly told the airport taxi to head for "Manila" when they actually meant Eastwood City in Quezon City.

    Snippet: FYI - The makati commerce district has a neck named and it's the Green Apple -- in case you guys are hearing locals mentioning that in their conversation with you -- the Green Apple Commercial District is the same as what you are seeing in high street or BGC and in Taguig or Santa Rosa area. We still have so much more work to be done in the name of Development, and rebuilding our motherland after the atrocity of world war 2, but grateful to have been able to fund some major nationwide improvements -- this time around. Thanks for the video. Enjoy strolling along memory lane. Come see us again soon. God bless. must behave. jul2023.

    Lol, the police with dog looks like he was unable to process your questions I think it's because he was trying to convey something but was not familiar with your English so he got lost in translation 🤣 😂 props to him for trying. He thought you were asking him if he had many dogs, he did not catch your first words because if you say "there's a lot of dogs here" that will not register in their response, but what they are used to listening to is "there's many dogs here" or "there are many dogs here, and if you say "there are many dogs in this area, or if you say " i see a lot of dogs around here, he would respond to you like what? With Baffled look because (in this area) means something else to them and if you say (around the area) he would think around is circumference, he would start looking for circle that is how he was lost in translation. Just a thought, anyway, you paid that much for a beer. it must not be local brew.

    • @Reardon_Explores
      @Reardon_Explores  Год назад

      Exactly...I believe so. I'm glad he tried to comprehend even if he hasn't learned all that much English. But that's right...I asked the question in slang way which foreigners would think is a statement. Nice observations! Yes, a local draft beer brewed in PH :)

      Some correction: BGC is not in Manila. BGC is in Taguig. BGC is not real city despite having "city" in its name. It's within Taguig City.
      Manila and Taguig are cities by themselves, but both are part of "Metro Manila" which is the old but popular name of the National Capital Region (NCR).
      NCR is a region at the center (ish) of the Luzon group of islands. It is composed of 16 adjacent cities and 1 municipality.
      I do not wish foreigners to have misunderstanding with airport taxi because they keep calling everything here "Manila".

    Funny thing if you listen to their pop boy band group which are very talented the English song sometimes Americans gets confused because when they say example a phrase saying 'come on and test me" you as an American would think what test? An academic test? school test? Drug test, so on, , but for Americans would say an statement as "come on and try me" then you would understand what they are saying.

    • @Reardon_Explores

    I don't understand the "everything is in english", because the entire country's signanges, posters, advertisements, etc. are pretty much always usually in english because its the country's second official language next to Filipino, and you may have just not noticed that 😅

    • @Reardon_Explores

      No I noticed it. I said it as a reference to show others that English isn't a problem for when they go there and also because where I stayed in the outer northwest edge of Makati, most signs weren't in English.
