This is a long one, but in my opinion, worth it. I knew that the approach into Palm Springs would be incredible, especially after mid-week mountain snowstorms, so I started filming over Palmdale. In the distance you can see the LA Basin and the Los Angeles skyline. As we fly over the San Bernardino Mountains, with San Bernardino city just underneath, we turn toward the Coachella Valley. On the downwind pass, we see the city of Palm Springs, with the airport clearly in view framed by Mt. San Jacinto. Not long after we make our turn to final approach over Palm Desert. We descend over the sprawl of the valley before touching down. Incredible scenery, and quite the beautiful location.
Grew up in Berdoo, nice to see it from above. Rare snow top scenery, very beautiful. I haven't seen the area for 40 years, man has the place expanded substantially. I remember Palm Springs being like just a couple miles across.
So beautiful, and that landing...like buttah!
Zig zag building in the center of the screen @15:59 is 75-400 Gerald Ford drive Palm Desert for reference in case anyone cares. I find views like these fascinating. I pretty much grew up in this area, I am now subscriber # 491. and thumbs up #288
thanks for sharing this gorgeous landing into palm springs - truley an oasis
Great video. It reminds me of how nice it is to be coming home to Palm Springs after a long trip and knowing you will be sleeping in your own be that night. As Frank Sinatra once sang in a song, "It's so nice to go traveling, but it's oh so nice to come home".
Couldn’t agree more, John. Lived in PSP for 9.5 years and, no matter how great my trip was, there was nothing as good as coming home to P.S. Stepping off the plane and I to the Desert air was always special, before the Sonny Bono Concourse was built. Nice that half of the flights there still have that no loading bridge, open air arrival experience.
Dam what an approach really great video thanks for sharing 😎👍🏽
Thank you for this video! I returned from a wonderful vacation in Palm Springs two weeks ago already. I had the BEST time! This makes my heart ache!
I played interstellar no time for caution to this and it fitted perfectly
One of the best videos of Palm Springs/Coachella Valley I’ve seen. Bravo! Ive lived in Palm Springs 3 years now. 😎
Fabulous video, thanks. Makes me want to return to Palm Springs asap.
Yippeee! I can see La Quinta. Thank you for sharing.
This was a great video I really enjoyed it I love vacationing there.
Super Video thanks for sharing, wahnsinnige Landschaft
Can’t wait to get back there. Been visiting from the UK for over 10yrs now and not until this year have we found a flight journey that we can take to PS as opposed to flying into LA or Vegas then drive to PS. Have to say however that the drive to PS from Vegas is absolutely spectacular, but that flight will be something else!
Great filming by the way, thanks for sharing!
totally agree = so much. im buying real estate in palm springs to avoid wretched uk winters 😍
Love Palm Springs 💕
What an AMAZING landing!!!!
Awesome video oh, I can actually see where I live in the pool behind our house we live off of Dinah Shore and Crossley the plane flies right over and I can see our house so awesome
Nice love this video. at 9:00 your a bit off. That stand alone peak is Zanja Peak and the white just below you looks to be the ridge at these coords 34° 5'33.87"N 117° 0'32.50"W (has no name)
Galena Peak is at 10:15 and San Gorgonio Mountain would be just below you there. :)
Must be winter-time. Snow on mountaintops
Love Palm Springs. Went there for my nephews wedding
the footage is excellent. WHat kind of camera did you use?
Thanks for the nice comment. I just use my Samsung Galaxy S10. I really just do this as a hobby, nothing fancy, and always kept these videos just for me until someone suggested I upload them, In fact, I only recently got a gimbal and was just holding the phone by hand before. On a side note, my older videos use an S8. While the day videos are better on the S10, I feel like the night videos are better on the S8.

Where were you flying from, I am guessing this jet is going Eastbound. Been to PS many times but never flew into there.
The snow level is quite low for Palmdale area. Must have had a storm clear out recently. Could this be an Embraer plane?
All you folks going to do when the water runs out
Can you shut the hell up and just enjoy the damn video
