they were softer on the (white) female contestants than they were on the others. They could make mistakes and be as toxic as they want (especially to black contestants) and still stay in the competition. Ryan Ashley and her clique of mean girls were all about using the female card to get away with shady behavior during their seasons

We do know that Ink Master has been back and is now in season 15 right? Also, Ami James was NEVER a contestant on Ink Master. Ami and Nunez worked together in Miami Florida back in the day in a shop they co-owned. Ami James wouldn’t need the title of Ink Master as he paved the way for traditional Japanese tattoos, like Nunez, who learned some techniques from Ami. If you had done your due diligence and proper research, you would have found the show Miami Ink starring Chris Nunez and Ami James.
Oliver Peck got fired for doing black face: meanwhile my Prime Minister has done it too many times to count and is still running my country into the ground.
I thought it was bc of what Oliver Peck did, the video was leaked, then he was edited out of most videos on RUclips... You hear him but don't see him!
Now if they would do the same with Jimmy Kimmel... you know back in the day he did the same thing, but politics man, politics.
Never liked Peck really. He is a very skilled tattoo artist, but not a nice person. Also on Season 2 he was dating the contestant Tattoo Baby. She was never ready for the show and wasn’t as skilled as her competitors, but because she was sleeping with Peck, they kept her longer. Season 3 Peck brought her back, making sure she made it to the semi finals. This came out after Season 2 started and I lost all respect for him. Beware the wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Ami James was never a contestant but a shop owner/longtime friend with Chris from Miami, having their own show (Miami Ink) that also had featured new to the business Kat Von D, also her husband Oliver Peck at the time a longtime friend of James and Chris. Nikko is a very accomplished artist out of California, also never a contestant on the show. Both Ami and Nikko, were guest judges on separate episodes, separate seasons.
Wonder how much the toothpick budget was on each season?? 😂😂😂

I’m pretty sure that there was no true finale for season 13. Episode 15 was the last one to air, yeah, but that was about it. The live taping was cancelled, the final 3 (Bob, Angel, and Jimmy) were given a bit of prize money, and no winner was ever announced.

They did do a live stream where they showed the progress they made on their final tattoos before it got shut down. All three had finished chest and back pieces, and Jimmy had a drawing done for this third one.

I love ink master. I personally don't want a tattoo, but watching the show has taught me to admire and appreciate the skill and artistry involved. I also love the competition and drama of the show.

Ink Master was Not being biased towards females whatsoever. Just because it took 8 seasons for a female to win, of course you're gonna have people Claim like they always do, "Its not fair" etc etc. Everything Today in our society is more than fair and unbiased towards race and gender Period
I mean I agree with you. Where I live I've only ever met like 3 female artists and TONS of male artist. So it seems like sometimes it's just a majority in the industry, which the show can't control. Its not like they aren't inviting anyone to apply who is a tattoo artist from pretty much anywhere. And I'm sorry but if this is a competition and you place last you lose, that's just the rules. Nothing biased about it when it comes to art, especially permanently on your body. Like if you aren't sure how to spell a work then google it, otherwise automatically should you fail unless someone else did a horrendous job.
The show not even canceled. And let's be real, about the women not winning Ryan was the first artist who was actually better than the guys but if you watch that season you'll notice that yeah her tattoos were good but she didn't hit the challenge on a few of those episodes and the judges just let it slide.
Ryan is a fabulous artist, but the fix was definitely in. She managed to avoid elimination three times when she should have been sent home, and her final tattoo looked like a dog's breakfast. Even Kelly was a better rounded tattoo artist, but of course she's didn't have the physical "look" the show was searching for. In my opinion, the show caved to produce a slim female winner, and ended up screwing Gian, a Hispanic gentleman, and Kelly, a plus-sized lady.
Since the new episodes are being filmed here in Canada, hopefully the former racial and size biases will be the things eliminated.

Anthony won the previous season with an undone tattoo and a half tattoo.
The show/title did not mean anything, once it was decided that a White man was not going to win.
Gian should have won he was never in the bottom and consistently got tattoo of the day 100% the strongest artist that season

*Alone* recently joined the list of fraudulent competition shows to follow that exact model; after the orchestrated non-White victory, a special series was crafted for the obligatory female win.
I found the directive to show that non-Whites and women can survive in primitive/outdoor conditions completely ridiculous, considering the fact that countless millions of them around the globe are doing just that but _"that's important."_

I don’t think this is a great analysis but as a female fan of the show, there is absolutely a bias against a women that should be discussed. It’s been a while since I watched so I don’t know if I can say much about how POC contestants were treated, but if a contestant can’t tattoo dark skin well (which was common) they defffinitely don’t deserve to be ink master
Much like MUAs: if you can't work with non white skin, you're just not good enough and should be looking to improve 🤷♀️

I don’t care what Peck does off camera, if I could, I’d bring back the show in its original format, with the original judges.
It’s not the same without Navarro, Nunez and The Pecker.
It is kind of odd that Ink Master and Bar Rescue had that link since both share some pretty strong similarities with Gordon Ramsay's shows, Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares respectively.
Dave was like the only judge that was decent tbh

Conflict in most reality shows are editing and in some cases requiring cast members to recreate moments that will make great TV.
Ryan Ashley and Cleen were unbelievably talented artists. If they got a little cocky, their skill backed them up. I could reasonably see getting work from either of them. I am one salty af sailor, so perhaps I am less affected by crude and crass behavior.
I'm pretty sure Ami james was never a contestant, he did however have his own show called Miami inc, or am I totally wrong in this?

I don't like the new judge's they don't judge the tattoos on the fundamentals they judge them on looks and how they make the judge's "feel" I liked it better when they would tear about the line work, the creativity, saturation, & the basic fundamentals. The new judge's are too nice in my opinion.

A couple points that you got wrong:
-I'm pretty sure Ink Master is having a season 15 this year, it's not being cancelled.
- It's not anti feminist just because there was no female winner til s8. Sarah from s2 was a runner up and lost to an actually good tattoo artist.
-S13 finale was canceled because of the pandemic. Angel, Bob and Jimmy were given a disclosed amount of money and weren’t named the winner.
-The comments you're using as "evidence" were actually satirical and not being used as "heavy backlash". The Oliver laughing comment was a joke as the Kyle v Chris fight was a crazy scene of s4
- If you want to bring Ink Master controversy that isn't a huge lie, make a video eliminations that were controversial, such as Jackie from s3, Jamie from s2, Artistic Skin Design from s9, etc

Yeah, if I get ink done, I want it to be the best artist I can get. Not based on a race or gender of who or what the artist is. I don't care. Someone wanting good work and not just social warrior badge points to brag about while not actually caring about the tattoo work itself, would feel the same way.

Drew didn’t leave because of criticism from judges, he left because he felt like he couldn’t produce work he considered to be acceptable in that environment. He didn’t even receive any criticism until after he quit!
This show was so fake from day one. I personally know most of the artists on season one, and I heard all the games they played with them. I even wrote an article for Tattoo Matser Magazine about what was wrong with this show. I turned down four requests to be on this show, and two to be on Best Ink, a competing show. Don't think for a second that reality TV is real.
This has to be one of the most fishing episodes I've seen yet. You've lost your credibility.

Eh as much as people keep saying it's BS, I do remember the judges saying some pretty gross things about a few female contestants. I still watched the whole thing and enjoyed the show, but I won't say that analysis is completely baseless.

I enjoy ink master… It bothers me that they changed the judges…. Who cares what happened in the past…or what someone did in the past. Bring it back with Dave, Oliver and Chris. If people don’t like them turn the channel! Grow up! The recent season they had with the new judges changed everything…I didn’t care for ryan Ashley. I wish a new network would pick up with original judges. As a person of color it did not offend me that Oliver Peck dressed up for Halloween! For heaven sake people should not condemn others nobody is perfect… I will miss the show… I understand that people complain about skin color in tats but it is something an artist has to consider so the ink shows up… come on! I’ll miss this show… maybe people will stop throwing prejudices and stop judging people for part mistakes… Chris, Oliver and Dave are entertaining and made ink master…

Black skin is harder to tattoo. You have to do multiple passes to have it show up on the skin. But if you're supposed to be an ink master you should be able to do all styles and all skin colors.

Ink Master was almost cancelled. It was solely because of the Oliver Peck incident.
As a woman, the women not winning was straight up negate they weren't good enough. Kelly should have beaten Ryan Ashley, but other than that I'm not mad at it. I think Angel would have won. They weren't ever harder on women than men.
It was cancelled due to the controversy that surrounded one of the shows panelist's, that was it. The channel wouldn’t cover the show then the next show was taken by another channel, but it just didn’t work out.
The tattooing industry is known to be harder on women period, but many got notoriety from the show or won.
Skill had a lot to do with it too until Ryan won…. She had clear skill and still does! They made the Angels show who made a lot of money battling off women tat artist along with men, but three women from ink master were the hosts.
It was all to do with the very known Oliver Peck and he ruined it for many 🤷🏼♀️ I remember the show calling it quits with the channel not backing then and cancelling.

The angels show was biased too. Even though it showcased the girls talent they were biased just like peck and Perez. But totally agree about the biased views towards women in the tattoo industry

LMAO Ink Masters was not canceled! It was moved to Paramount+ The main judges have been replaced because they were done with judging!! This guy does not speak for the majority of viewers. Season 14 & 15 are on Paramount+ and it allows for real language and expression!
