This song is a faith builder for me. Remembering who God is and what He has done always pushes me into deeper places of faith for the future. That’s what this song is all about. Sing it out and let your voice preach to your own heart and soul that the God who has done GREAT THINGS will continue to do GREAT THINGS. This version is a bit more low key than the original, but I kind of like it. Thanks to my friend Jonas Myrin for writing this one with me!

About 13 years ago I saw a MySpace post that Phil was doing an impromptu show at a coffee shop in San Diego. Probably only 20 -30 people there.
I went to it and afterwards went to compliment him at the end of his music , and I must say my impression of him is that he is a super humble guy, using his God given gifts to bring himself and others together to celebrate God.
This was back in the quasi glam-mullet Phil days.😉
Was relieved that he was a humble dude and not some pretentious, pompous, fame seeker.
My bet is even if he never got “big”, he would have still been completely fulfilled to be a small time worship pastor somewhere.
Why am I rambling on about this guy and concert, I dunno,. Maybe it’s because I love the NON cheesy lyrics, the genuine attitude of the man, love for God, and the gifted ness of the guy. Maybe I had a great need that night that to this day 15 years later I look back at that coffee shop concert as a beautiful memory worshipping God and an important time in my life when my need was great.
