Nice tutorial! Those little details you point out can make it easier for THOUSANDS dude.
I hope so! Thanks for watching!!
Great info. I've taken my bed loose and jacked up driver side to replace fuel pump on my 88 S10. I had no idea they made the square bodies in the 90's.
Square trucks through 93, blazers through 94
@@HardCoreGarage thank you
Going to be doing a 2000 S10 here shortly for the fuel pump. Saving this video!
Thanks this video helped me.thanks for making it an easy video to go by I literally got my 1989 S10 Tahoe 4.3l last week it has 159,000 miles and has parts I need to replace and install new ones
Hell yeah! Have fun with it!
Good to see I'm not the only one with a crusty frame 😁😖
It needs new front body mounts on the frame
this was so helpful!! i plan on replacing my fuel pump on my s10 tomorrow, thanks for the helpful video 🤗
Glad it helped!
Thank you for the bolt by bolt removal
Thanks for the help about to go pull the bed change fuel pump
Good luck man
I cut a square hole in the bed and put a hinge on it. It's a whole lot easier and it's easy access for the future.
Thats a big no for me... lmao
even if i were installing a bed liner i would not cut a hole in the bed. got to be really lazy to do it that way when the bed is easily removed.
Glad you still have that truck I still got the same one lol
I've still got my first s10! 89!
Great video! Thanks for the info really helpful. Now I'm ready to replace the fuel pump on my s10.
LOL I think you need a better impact.😀 Your the first Guy I have saw stronger than an impact!!!
I think I'm part Amish i rarely use the impact. It was my dads.. you may be on to something though.. lol
@@HardCoreGarage lol take care. Love the videos keep them coming. Keep posting info on any mini truck shows coming up. Thanks again.
Man I need you shop and property lol. Video definitely helped though!!!

Id love to see a s10 grease car!
I imagine that's how my Wisconsin 2002 Sonoma frame looks. I need to get the bed off and have some sheet metal replaced up front where the bottom meets the front part. Too much sunlight making it through 🙂
Salt is sooo bad around here! Just eats them up!
That's sick brother. This is the first video of yours I've seen. Those shocks are pretty cool. How does the trucm ride with 100psi in there?
Wasn't bad. Someone bought it about a month later.

Yes, more cats scenes 😄
A have a 92 s10 2.5 iron duke 4 banger lol currently working on the fuel pump
We got video of a complete iron duke rebuild.
What size are the bolts/threads? I am doing mine now and the previous owners welded the bed to the truck and didn’t put the bolts back in. So I’ve got no bolts.
Man I don't know off hand. I'd need to dig through my stainless bolts
Great information help a lot! I would of sprayed the bolt with pp blaster first.
Are you able to do a update on how to do the v8 swap
None of my trucks are v8 currently.
@@HardCoreGarage would you do one?? I’m trying to start one on my s10 just like yours
Pp blaster? Never met her
Those bolts are stubborn!
I snapped one on mine. Then I needed to drill it out and rethread the 'bed nut'
And that's not fun!
A video of taking the bed off was very informative too bad you didn't make one repairing the fuel pump or replacing it
I've done it a couple times. Not too bad. I suggest replacing everything you can. Pump and sending unit!
Getting the lock ring off is a lil tricky. Wire brush the ring and vacuum all the dirt off to keep it out of the tank.
I've had the later year 1st gens have 8 bed bolts in them, instead of 6. Don't know why they would do that at the end of the series.
My 94 s10 is twice as rusty as yours I wish mine looked like yours
Well she's gone now... lost all body mounts... it was very bad. The good parts live on!
Oil is your friend on rusty bolts
Definitely
Are s10 4.3 4x4s rare I can't find many
Not really rare. Just 30 years old.. lot less on the roads
penetrating oil
Will this work for a 88-98 Chevy h have a 97
Don't know anything about fullsizes.
Time to clean and POR15 that frame😷 lol. My 03 Silverado is a real easy to get off takes less than 15 minutes.
I think its too far gone honestly. )8
Next pull the tailgate and drop some more LB’s
It was light enough. Lol
Do you have to unhook the break light wiring as well?
Just the single harness on the drivers side frame rail at the back end.
how many lbs the bed is about? I am going to do so, kinda nervous...
I'm guessing about 200lbs. 2 people can move one
@@HardCoreGarage I see, thanks for the info!👍
Part number? I'd like to try that on my blazer
Fuel pump?
A YEAR model is a moronic thing to leave out don't ya think.
Most people know the squares were form 82-93 and all basicly the same bones. Way to be passive aggressive...
Lol that's not crusty
Perspective!!! I like that
