You want: an axe with a two-and-a-half foot handle and a two pound head. Pretty simple. An axe that size can make kindling of any size, isn’t unwieldy in bush crafting, can cut down most trees(just takes longer, but easier to control so placement will make it up), and it fits in a bag.
