Maybe it's just the recording, but I feel like the guitar and bass (well, everything except vocals, synth, and drums, really) are kind of lost in the mix. Can't wait to see them again next month. Devolution is absolutely sick.
Positions matter as well. I was very close to the stage when they came to Houston’s House of Blues, and the sound waves shook me to my core! Second floor seaters didn’t get the same booming volume haha
For me the the cymbals are are barely audible in this recording which made it sound off for me. At least we got a footage though, which I'm thankful for!
@@STABBRClan In many recordings the cymbals gets lostin the mix. Their drummer is freakin awesome but the choice of fairly thin and dry cymbals don't I interesting too me. I would've liked some big 19 and 20 inch crashes to fill out the mix and make it sound huge.
So, I actually thought the same thing when I first saw this video. However, I was listening to Earthrise today and I noticed that it is actually in the original song, but it is much, much quieter. I had to turn it up pretty loud to hear it well. But yeah, if you listen to the original track you can hear it in the background.
Finally I can see Devolution played live and IT ABSOLUTELY FUCKS
