  • A funny, ridiculous yet incisive take on the Apollo 11 moon landing and major events of the time.
Aired on ABC TV Australia in 2001.
Starring Patrick Barlow and John Ramm.
(Sorry for the poor quality analog recording. Kids, this is what we called VHS on long play.)

Great pity that so much of NTOB on TV seems to have been lost. They are just wonderful.

Wonderful and so missed by the great listening public. And so beautifully British!

In an otherwise faultless documentary one is drawn to the glaring error of Martin Luther King being phone-tapable in 1969. Unless there are phones in heaven, which is a possibility I suppose.

Desmond Olivier Dingle and Raymond Box, hilarious. Patrick Barlow once sat next to me at the theatre. I was dying to ask where Raymond was but I didn't as I am not one of those dicks that asks for autographs and selfies.

You probably needn't have worried. My dad encountered him once at the National Theatre and said how much he enjoyed TNTOB's Revolution!, back in 1989, about the French Revolution. PB was delighted that dad remembered it and chatted and even bought him a coffee. Thoroughly nice guy, by the sound of it.
