Now I know where I'll be in July 2014. It's amazing how in Finland people can barely be bothered to open their mouths to talk, much less sing, unless actually interested in singing, whereas Estonia simply gets 25,000 singers and a massive audience (and the percentage of the country!) to create something breathtaking. There's a reason for the Singing Revolution - how could anyone resist the enormous choir singing for freedom?

The song is called "Peace", in the sense of a human soul, that is, about the endless human journey in search for true peace, and of course, only Love can give it. In the chorus it goes more or less like this: "whenever I feel like going to behind the skies, then possibly this is what I need - and for this I need You. I need your peace, I need your beauty, I need your soul... this is all i ask of you". A love song, written by Rein Rannap, and made famous by Ruja.
The song is about state of a man who is deeply in love with a woman. If you are very in love and you are a man, you feel like you can find your peace only with the woman. Its a really male love song. A piece describes how the singer should "be silent" about his feelings: "Kõik mida tunnen pean vaikima maha." Its very male problem. All the songs how you can not talk about your feelings are about male love.
The lyrics is written by Urmas Alender, singer songwriter who was killed in MS Estonia disaster 1994.

@th4ver teeks kui saaks. aga kas sa laulsid seal?? kui ei siis kõige hullem on alati see et tartumaale andakse sellised mitte just mugavaimad koolid. pääsküla kool. 24/7 nagu saunas, dussiruum muda täis, classiruumid nagu aafrica ja bussisõidud... vedas kui seal ellu jäi. laulupeo esinemine oli kõige meeldivam tegelt :) prob vb see et meil on uus kool ja me oleme ninnunännud :]
