I think this house has a very 60’s look about it. I’m 71 years old. I remember when I was 20 the popular colors for kitchen appliances and washing machine and dryer were avocado green, harvest gold and copper tone brown. The popular colors for bathtubs and sinks were blue and pink and yellow. The fuzzy wallpaper, red shag carpet, beveled glass brass light fixtures, we’re the go then. Cool house. The view is spectacular. Great video.
Hey Noah thanks for the great video that house 🏡 reminded me of my childhood home especially with the bar downstairs we had one my parents had a lot of parties down there
Cringing to see this house with so much character will be demolished, i just love that house. Whatever they build in its place will not be anywhere near as interesting and unique. Such a bummer.
I would absolutely live there. Keep the decor as is. I remember shag carpet. I also remember having to “rake” it to keep it from matting. Great house. Shame it will be demolished. Hopefully not.
Thank you Noah for such a great treat .So nice to see a place that is still in pretty good shape. What a pleasure to see no messy decay or vandalising. Your videos are wonderful and your voice is calming and relaxing.Your channel is really great.Greetings from Manitoba.
That house should be saved as a museum to preserve the ambience of the 70's right down to the red shag carpet and the carpet rake! Love, love, love the bar design and accoutrements. Awesome explore. Thanks for reliving the 70's for me! 👏👍❤🇺🇸
The pendent lighting in that first bath are not cheap. The room with the blue carpet, when I was a kid my family lived in a house that had similar wallpaper. That is a really cool bar and that red shag carpet hahaha. You can still buy carpet rakes. Those mirror tiles are either peel-n-stick or the glue on ones, and you can still purchase new ones. That was a good wind-chime. That was a dinning room sideboard in that storage closet.
This is a nice house for as small as it was. They utilized the space very well. Other than the water damage in the basement the home was in decent shape, too. That’s very pleasing to see. Great explore, Noah!
Nothing like a video posted by Noah , and having snacks at the same time! these places are unreal like just the history of it and seeing how stuff can just get left like this.
Very NICE , shameful that it will be demolished.. those cabinets were pristine with the same pattern I have in my kitchen on the doors panels but they are in MUCH BETTER condition
That basement seemed to go on forever….. I was waiting to see a bathroom in it and almost thought there wasn’t one then it appeared. For me it would be MOVE IN READY accept getting rid of that mold and a few changes here and there …. I’m not one to go extreme on updating probably eventually getting rid of some wallpaper and carpet .. maybe even replace what was in that space that was removed . NICE EXPLORE Thanks for the tour
7:06 I know that was for an elevator but it hadn't been installed yet. The sheetrock in the shaft looks fresh and has not been discolored by time and use, also no markings where elevator tracks would be mounted. Maybe the occupant's condition deteriorated faster than the elevator could be finished or the home was bought out during installation. Why remove the elevator which would decrease the home's value? Thanks for the tour Noah! 🤠👍 (2nd view 😉)
Hey Noah, first things first. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! I tried others channels just to see what they were like and I DIDN'T like them, you, Noah ARE THE BEST! I LOVE the wooden built - in in the Master Suite, I have NEVER seen anything that big and gorgeous before, I sure wish that you could save that and put it somewhere in your home! Keep up the wonderful job my friend, way to go!! ❤
Beautiful house. I would love to live there after the mold was removed. I grew up in the 60's & 70's This would have been a very expensive house for its day. Too bad they can't move it to another lot. Thanks for showing it to us --- Debbie
A German owned this house. You saw all the german books etc. so that room in the basement with the jars was where he brewed his beer. Those big jars are known as carboys, home brewers ferment their beer in those.
oh i get nostalgic feelings it,s a very nice goody home with a beautiful vieuw really a 70th house because the two rooms had exactly the same wallpaper as in my parents house
Those cabinets are amazing. I cant belive it's just going to get demolished. The prints on the wall are cool too .lighting fixtures ,banisters...they must be coming back to take that stuff .
Definitely a cool retro house. Love the lakeside setting. So many cool features and wallpapers. I would need to do a bit of updating before living there but keeping the style of the 70’s. I wonder if the mold and the water damage could be fixed. Thanks Noah for this groovy explore!
Intense nostalgia watching this. Evokes primordial memories. God I’d love a place like this, anyplace really. Something about it is so lively. It tells stories of the past in a very personable way, as you said, really frozen in time. Because it was so well preserved, it really is like stepping into the past. You can the people at the bar as if they’d been there the night before.
Great find!👍 I noticed that the house didn't seem very accessable for a wheelchair, such as low light switches, higher toilet seats, etc. Too bad it will be demolished. I think it's a nice home.
The old owner of this house had great taste and did a good job maintaining it when they lived here I'm sorry to hear that it's going to be demolished 😥
For some reason the location you keep referring to as a chair lift or elevator makes me think it was an olf fireman's pole for getting to the party back in the day. Seems fitting for that house imo.
That was a really great find and explore. For me, a blast from the past! I had all of my four children in the seventies, l remember shag carpet was a real hassle to clean properly, but nice to walk on. That bar was really something, they must have entertained a lot! They really went for it with the wine and alcohol cellar, the decorative iron work entrance and all!🦘😊🥴🥳😉
Hi, Noah ! Ok, that house looks from 1970's everything inside tells me because I had the same things back in 1972. Those wallpapers style were first introduced in 1970 it was the " mod " look. Also when passing by paintings or artwork please do a close-up because we can provide sometimes the artist name or the name of the paintings. Now it looks like the man of the house was, German and the lady might have been from, Peru both represented by their maps respectively and artwork from, Peru like the, Viracocha the Sun God. Great job.
And They also know how to dispose of Value and Quality. Canada isn't anything to brag about, here in the States, People buy Older Homes remodel them and turn it into a Frat house, but at least The United States doesn't demolish everything in sight.
You're right- If the person was in a wheelchair, they probably ripped out a closet and started to put in an elevator. The big jars and smaller ones were probably from wine making. Great explore, Noah! 😊👍
My guess for what was ripped out maybe it was an assisted device like a lift or something? (As now you just said lol). He more than likely made his own beer with the big glass containers. The house was pretty radical! It’s in great shape for being that old.
The lock on the closet may be that they had to have a place to store the pain medicine under lock and key and if they had a care giver that is where they kept it.
Play Noah I love the places that you seem to find. Thank you so much for doing what you do. But the one that always comes back to me in my mind. Is the Christmas house I can't remember the name of it for sure but your girlfriend was there and that was so sweet I hope she's doing well and I'm glad to see that you're doing well thank you for still sharing with us all for those of us who can't get out about. Means a lot and we thank you
I like this place, as dated and funky as it is. Loved the upstairs bathroom wallpaper. Back in the day there was a rake attachment you could get for your vacuum cleaner so you could rake and clean your shag carpet at the same time. Shag carpet was one of the worst decor ideas, ever. Thanks, Noah
A 1970's house wouldn't have hard wood flooring, it'd have plush wall to wall carpeting, throughout the entire House, people back then didn't have hard wood flooring.
Cool house so sad is gonna be demolished you know you can buy old house yourself and you can refrigerate with all kinds of stuff from the seventies available at thrift stores if you're that interested in the seventies old houses that's what I did
God's love you, but you youngins guessing the 70' s decor & what is or whatever out of your realm cracks me da F'K up 😂 I just love how you youngins guess stuff. LMFAO 😆 Great tour anyways.

Would live there in a heartbeat. My first impression seeing the dining room cabinet was German made. Great explore.
The 70s are calling and they want their carpet back! Love the architecture and hope they salvage it all! Be safe!
Hey Noah thanks for the great video that house 🏡 reminded me of my childhood home especially with the bar downstairs we had one my parents had a lot of parties down there

This definitely needs to saved. These developers don't know any beautiful homes, all they want to do is demolish them and waste there money.
Bar !!! That stuff is worth something.

What a beautifully maintained house. I feel the warmth and happy memories that it holds. I loved everything about it! ❤
I would fix it up and live there. I think it would make a gorgeous home.
That place looks very fresh, very well cared for, you're likely the first to explore it Noah. Nice one!
Move in ready by my standards!
🤠👍

Love this home, wallpaper is awesome.
What a nice retro find! Loved it! Thanks for sharing your adventures and as always, great video!
Sweet house Noah. That is one heck of a view. Awesome. One of the funkiest basements I have ever seen.
Those cabinets are amazing. I cant belive it's just going to get demolished. The prints on the wall are cool too .lighting fixtures ,banisters...they must be coming back to take that stuff .
That bar is crazy cool! It's amazing that the wallpaper is still in such great shape. Thanks Noah🤩
Glad you like it!
Those features are immaculate and if the builder doesn't save them for resale they are idiots!!

Don't forget the mask eh...😄
Yes water & mold damage can be fixed. Might have to replace wall sections. Great big house.
@@JohnShinn6078 hydrogen peroxide & bleac 50/50 mix? kills black mold.

Awesome house it should be saved thanks for the video
Thanks Noah, see you on the next one.
Great explore Noah!! Beautiful place - well worth restoration!!
It really is!

Canadians know how to build a bar!! Awesomeness we don't do basements in TX so 💖 this!

Awesome house 👍😎 Hi Noah from West Virginia USA 🇺🇲
The big hole in the floor was most likely for a personal lift/elevator . OMG stubby beer bottles!!!!
Thank u
Awesome house I would buy it there are professional services that can clean mold

If someone was in a wheelchair, then it is possible that they had a lift in that area you mentioned where something was ripped out.
It should be saved this is a piece of history
Those signs around the house are in Dutch.
Fireplaces and shag rugs is the need for many extinguishers
I would buy this house.
Save it
That's my kind of home I'd be renovated
Big jugs making wine.
This house would be worth saving put money into it and move in
No the kenmore microwave is from early 2000s,...
Looks like lift was removed
That tv is from 1971???
So much german stuff inside
