After a while, the MULEs became less of a threat or even an annoyance, really, unless my cargo was fragile or unless I was on an “Urgent” order. Frankly, it was a welcome break from the constant quiet and walking. Lemme just summarize my general experience with MULEs at this point in the game: “Hey, Ben, how’s the kid?” *ties with Strand* “Is that you, Johnny? Man, where does the time go?” *knocks out with Materials container* “Bill, you old rascal! Where’s the wife been keeping you?” *shoots with Bolas Gun* You get the picture: it became casual for me. Entertaining. Not nearly as stressful as facing down BTs, but still containing enough action to satisfy me. And theeeeen...I met the Terrorists.
If you actively seek out lethal combat, the game becomes very fun. When dealing with humans though save often, if a voidout happens from that you may have to reload your most recent save, but it doesn't mean the voidout will happen again. Please, seek out combat if you need it to enjoy this game. The combat is kinda fun when you get into it. This is the closest thing to an open world lovecraftian horror game. I love it for that.
Swagg Surfer i was just thinking about this. i was having a lot of trouble during the first order where you have to retrieve cargo from a mule camp, number 10 or 12 i think it is. trouble was, i was forgetting that this was a Kojima game and i kept trying to run in and evade instead of using stealth. definitely approach mule camps like a MGS level and invest a lot of time in waiting for the right moment to strike, and you will not fail. make sure to sneak up behind mules and bind them from behind using your Strand (equipment menu). they'll stay incapacitated for like, 8 in game hours or something, giving you plenty of time to do what you need to do also one of the best tips the game gives you that i almost overlooked: if you aren't carrying any cargo the mule scanners won't be able to pick you up. this means you can gain entry completely undetected like the guy in this video did
Hunter S. DiCicco nice thanks for the info I’ll be gettin the game soon! Check my channel out for cool gaming vids got some old mgsv vids if you wanna see me go ham haha
I kinda have mixed feelings on this game. Like the game looks beautiful with gorgeous graphics but the gameplay in my opinion is so slow paced. You have to play like 10 hours worth or so before you even start actually getting into anything good and fun. 10 hours or so is legit just tutorial after tutorial basically overloading you with information and like a lot of backtracking just delivering cargo on foot. It’s awhile before you even get the bike let alone weapons for actual combat. I’m like literally 10 hours in and still haven’t gotten a single weapon yet apart from the strand or whatever it’s called which is just a rope basically. Like I don’t know...it just doesn’t seem that much fun to me.
Greg No not really lol. We are just poking fun at the game cause that’s how it feels most of the time. There is a actual story which is pretty complex and makes like no sense to me but the overall gameplay is legit you running around being a postal boy basically. That is literally the job of the main character which is why he always has to carry cargo on his exoskeleton suit thing and he gets paid for it. But it just gets boring so fast cause that’s basically the whole game and it takes ages before you even get to any parts that let you use weapons cause yes you do get weapons in the game as well but it literally takes forever to get to that point and even then it kinda feels boring cause your main objective is still just being a postal boy lol. You only use weapons later cause there are threats that interfere with you delivering cargo successfully. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not a horrible game by any means but it’s also not that great of a game either and rather disappointing for all the hype it got making it seem like it would be some epic game. It’s just a really odd and even kinda silly game in my opinion.
@@shannonmichael4773 I think it was the same way for MGS 5 when it came out. There was so much going on, that it took absoulute hours for me to understand all the gameplay mechanics and whole fulton extraction and base development. I always tried to do stealth but there are some stuff I still don't know how to do. I guess death stranding is the same thing.
calitroit45 i don’t think mgsv is slow paced, aside from that first hospital sequence(but that was awesome), but I mean if you’re talking about the first missions I don’t find it slow paced at all, I suffered a lot discovering mechanics in the first ones but the missions itself weren’t slow paced at all.
Its its own genre that was established by Hideo. Its not an action game, its not a sandbox world, its a thriller meant to encapsulate your imagination.
Well like MGSV it felt great when I used the sandbox to direct action scenes with the situation at hand. I feel like that's the best way to get mileage out of the latest Koji Pro games. Lead to me having a lot of fun, and loving both games from a gameplay stand point.
I have no idea why people hate this game whatsoever but if your one of the you should really try the game it's fun I was a hater too now I got the game its soo fun I promise you will love it
People shit on the game for being too long and a bit difficult to understand as if the rest of Kojima's games aren't exactly the same way. Sure, there's a lot of info to take in, but it's very easy to learn once you stop trying to rush forward and start taking time with each tutorial. Personally, this feels as comfortable as MGSV, and I'm loving the game so far! P.S. - I 100% MGSV Ground Zeroes/The Phantom Pain, so I know what I'm talking about.
People are silly sometimes. We all wanted a sequel to mgsV but this is even better. I personally thought the game looked dumb and now I’m realizing I was an idiot
Even though I actually love this game even with all it's flaws. I think that it would be "fixed" if there was just alot more going on in that first half of the game. Like maybe spread that giant clump of story at the end to that and make it feel better paced. Maybe give a different kind of mission to break the monotony of always having to walk from place to place. Like maybe one of the bases are tiered of MULS stealing their deliveries and they ask you to wipe out a base, or maybe BT's are getting close and they want you to drive them of sense they know that you can use your *PEE* as a wepon agents them. Well I don't know if they have any plans for dlc for this game. So they might be working on something like now after a few months of criticism.
My first play through I almost made it to the end and then quit (I think I found all the foot travel pretty boring), but I’m playing through again fresh after watching TWD and I guess it makes it funner knowing you’re controlling Daryl Dixon😆 Really though, I’m enjoying it a lot more this time!
Muy bien Gamplay. Ya estaba apunto de desinstalar el juego porque las entregas a pie son muy aburridas. Le daré una segunda oportunidad si habrá tanta acción adelante como muestras aquí

Too bad kojima avoid those things in these game. Because this game is just a walking simulator, the combat is just a bonus.

It's crazy how much better this game looks on ps5
Damn there’s definitely MGS5 combat elements in this 👍
