I feel you. I had the same problem up until 6 months ago. Found a store with 4-6 players and now we're up to about 12. Hope EC spends some money towards expanding the player base and marketing. The game did not disappoint and I'm glad I held onto hope instead of bailing. Good luck.
Played half a dozen AL drafts at my LGS and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Every though I was mostly losing. 😂 EC did a good job. I'm happy with everything they've done so far. Great game.
If you're near Richfield Utah, Gone Rogue games ordered some for his patrons. He has a RUclips channel but their store is mostly magic and Lorcanna. I comment on his channel for him to try it because he also likes board games. Figured he would love it but seems too focused on MTG.

AL did exactly what an expansion set should do. Give new strats and life to the core set of cards allowing you to spice things up and try new things. Most of the best decks are simply what was in the previous meta but with AL cards that merely improve those strats sprinkled in between them. My only disagreement was the decision to go 50/30 in deck size. Not that they shouldnt do it, but just not as early as introducing the 2nd set. Right now there is literally no rhyme or reason to any deck strats that arent aggro or control. Its basically the two main surviving archetypes where i felt at 40/20 toolbox, and combo decks had a decent chance at working and now are all but abandoned.
Loving the play of the new set (though not thrilled with the site-destruction that was added) - a few negatives from me? They should have had the Store Tournament boxes out by now... they should have new Dust Rewards in the store and the original Dust promos should be removed. I'm not that happy with how they handled the non-Unique "Unique" Sirs in the packs or how rare the real Unique cards actually are - it basically makes all the other cards common. You have to open SO much product to get a set that the rest of the cards are bulk.
Agree with you about tournament boxes and and the Sirs issue. Both are major pain and the Sirs issue especially makes opening AL much worse. That said I don't think they need to intentionally remove old dust rewards. They're limited anyway and will eventually sell out.
It's alright but I hope they don't do too many more themed sets like this. Ultimately as long as they can fix the color issues from every set not named Alpha, I won't have an issue with the 3rd set. The 100 card format is a total doa move though, Sorcery won't move an inch as long as they continue on that path.

I called a half dozen of stores in Utah to see if they carry or have sorcery events not a single store knew what the game was.😢

Should have had AL precons. Every set should have precons. Maybe not 4 decks but 2 decks per set for new players at least?

I love the art for Sorcery, but not a fan of the gameplay. I wish they had a ruleset that didnt use the grid system
