Bro has no brain using them on a treadmill.🤣🤣🤣....Next he'll use them in the shower.🤦
You can’t use them in the shower?? 😩
@@michaelzavala of course you can, they also act as ski goggles too so its multipurpose
@@proxi9494 perfect 👍 I take it all back! 🎿 😂
@@michaelzavala LMAO
Also they can be used as scuba goggles too!
@@proxi9494 😂😂😂
Don’t buy these! I went Sky Diving and tried to watch a MrBeast Video, it did not work at all!
Can confirm! Also they DO NOT work while rock climbing as well.
Welcome to your final test, I'm MrBeast.
We can scrap the s cuz I've never missed a beat.
😂😂😂😂
YOU ARE FUCKING JOKING THATS THE ONLY REASON I WANTED THEM!
I lost mines while skydiving
I know what you mean about the buyer’s remorse. I bought one to use as a virtual monitor so I could do my taxes while water skiing and the whole experience totally sucked.
Paying taxes always sucks
Wait, so no one should buy these bc you had trouble seeing a particular part of a particular episode of a particular show while attempting to watch TV walking down the street in broad daylight? Uhhh... hey, send them to me. I could totally put up with such tragedy in product design...
WARNING! 🚨 Just DONT watch House of the Dragon Season 1 Episode 4 timestamp 26:46 or you will regret me giving these to you! DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU
@@michaelzavala Too funny! 😂
Seriously though, you want to sell them? I am looking to buy...
@@lightningboltz333 I’m gonna test them on a plane in a few weeks! If I still can’t stand them, they’re yours!
@@michaelzavala still getting rid of em?
@@michaelzavala honestly thats pretty cool that you would do that for someone. I was looking at buying a pair for deployments but am worried they would get broken!
Dude is using them in all the most unintended use cases 🤦♂
😂😂😂
All of these comments are a sign you did not do enough research. These are all known limitations of the product at this time.
Good way of describing it
Great now I don't only need to watch out for texting drivers I have to watch out for people watching TV and walking.
😂I hope you’re never around me then lol. My pair comes in on monday
I use them with samsung dex, the best thing I've bought so far
I have a s23 ultra. Can you give some use cases where these things shine?
The treadmill thing can be fix with AR spaces in the nreal app on a compatible android phone
Have to agree can't even swim or take a shower wearing them😂
My take:
Tbh im not using them for vr as i already have an index. I just wanna use them as something for entertainment while im laying down and relaxing and don't wanna hold a screen in front of me and for that, these are dope.
I fully agree with you that the current state of these aren't that great and i firmly believe nreals next glasses will be a slice of something special. Possibly even wireless and also a brighter and larger screen.
💯 I think the second or third generation of these are going to be amazing!
@@michaelzavala for sure, nreal took a large step up with this tbh really interested on whats next.
Also i appreciate your ability to listen to others and take criticism well unlike "some" others lolz
@@proxi9494 yeah I love what the AR/VR future is gonna look like!
@@michaelzavala This is the second generation. It's actually worse than 1st gen as they tried to make them at a more appealing price point.
I've heard their next product is an upgraded dongle/adapter that keeps the video screen in place as you move. I'd like to see an updated review with that tbh.
Ok, everyone is entitled to an oppinion I guess. But this is a real headscratcher of dumb complaints...
Apple Problems. This tech is excellent. NReal and the Nebula app is amazing on Samsung. I switched my Pixel for these glasses and it was the right choice. If you have the right hardware to use with these glasses, then it is life changing tech.
have to agree, I use them with my zfold 4, and xbox game pass, Plex, Netflix and other streaming services. Nebula app with google services integration is what I would like to see.
Fair but at that point then they are more android exclusive than anything aren’t they?? Cause I got them and returned them cause they sucked for even playing my games on console and they advertise that as a feature
@sakurito55 They work amazing with consoles if you have the Beam. I'm not seeing another company that offers your console screen in 3DOF. Even before I had the Beam I was plugging in any console I wanted with the adapter.
@@ediroll33can you show me
@@michaelbmw1931 show you what ?
Dude your thinking of smart glasses those NReal glasses are VR and are not ment to be walking around with them they work better if your stationary and their are black lenses included with every pair to make them better for viewing. Stop talking shit. NReal is changing the game and that I respect.
I only wanted one to watch movies and tv shows in bed while my wife sleeps without disturbing her. Bought a used bundle (includes the beam and all the accessories) for 400 bucks. For that purpose, I think it's worth it. I can stay up all night and no longer disturb her sleep.
Have you used these to extend a laptop display? I have worked offices for 10+ years and just want to lay down on the couch and work once in a while so save my back and neck
THIS!
I really appreciate this type of video. Even if the situations are not ideal for use it is much better to know before than after you have purchased.
They are better with android phones ( I have both). With an android phone, you don’t need an adapter and also you can move the screen (and resize) exactly where you want it to be and then it won’t move. so you won’t have that crazy bouncing effect you were having while walking on the treadmill.
Are these good
you can do that on iphone too
@@michaelbmw1931I still use mine almost daily!
I use them for youtube, and steamdeck and movies and find they perform very good once you adjust how they fit on your face.
Any latency while gaming
Thanks for the honest gaming experience and review. This manufacturer has bought 99% of the reviews you see on RUclips that mostly focus on the glasses size and portability and functionality not so much is said for quality and the user experience.
So which are vetter
Why would you have the mic in direct line of sight of the camera like that?
The mic identifies as my face
I love mine! Just do your research before buying learn about all the different uses it’s a media consumption device it’s great for that and just that!
Mine work brilliantly with my SteamDeck and my iPad. Highly recommended
How is it using your iPad
As a person that is trying to research limitations on these devices, this was a pretty good video. I don't really get the hate, yes stuff like the threadmill is an odd use case, and the projection not being bright in sunlight is obvious IF you think about the design. But having these cons listed here neatly is really useful, especially if you are a prospective buyer that would want to experiment the limits of these devices.
I just ordered mine, cause I do not expect a full ar 24/7 experience, the fact that the lenses are dark making them more like shades tells me that they are not intended to be worn all day and outside, I’m buying them thinking they will be a great way fro me to game in a huge screen and also be able to follow my online courses and tutorials as o see them right next to my iPad or my computer, I don’t expect a HoloLens experience out of this, I see them as light weight monitors that are portable and would allow me to enjoy a lot of content on the go, same reason why I have my quest or my oculus go before I got the quest, and that’s what I expect, plus it might even replace my vr headsets since I only use them to watch movies and stream content, I just hope they don’t get me motion sickness like vr does.
Word
How is your experience using it as a monitor?
@@TineshShah I returned them after like a week or two 😭 my experience was kinda bad tbh for MY NEEDS, I commented this right before they got delivered, I tried on my consoles with the adapter I can tell you the image quality and colors is great they are pretty bright and indoors the picture looks great color are surprisingly very good I was expecting maybe a bit of washout or dimmed colors like on a projector but nope they look very good my issue was with reading text.. and that this might be my astigmatism and miopía (not sure if that is the English word). The screen size is very much qblut perspective, if I see my laptop at a regular distance the screen matches the size of my actual laptop screen but with smaller words lol I noticed while setting it up, if you have like an open space with things far in the background it will feel bigger the text stays the same of course so for me it was pretty much useless at that point, I was expecting it to be kind of like vr in the way that I can make a screen in vr the size of a huge Cinema Display or smaller right? But this doesn’t do that and while following a tutorial on my iPad the screen in the lenses was too small and looked a bit smaller than my iPad itself and having my phone next to my iPad following the same video felt more comfortable, so for their price and they had experience I got I just returned them, now I want to try the quest 3 with their ar mode cause I feel that will actually work how I wanted this glasses to, even if they are not as small, but for the price it’s the best option cause you get both at and vr even tho they are meta and that does suck.
"MAYBE THAT WILL WORK"
No. It absolutely will fucking work.
😆
It does! 💦
I know everyone is jokingly roasting this video. But I will say that the second version of these with the beam accessory fixes most of these issues
solution
1. use shades
2. use exercise bike
3. use a device with a usb c port
You need the light, not the air, if you want a 3d work sleeve with locked in screen into the environment
I use mine because i dont have a TV. My sons on his monitor the other on my projector. My tvs in storage from moving. I use this as my monitor and love them
Lmao... apparently you didn't watch all the RUclips videos dude. People cover the pitfalls. They are awesome now.
I just want the best HD OLED glasses to hook up to my android to watch RUclips videos (not riding on a rollercoaster) at the lowest price
ANY SUGGESTIONS???
you try to use them even when you go swiming ? just to complain more about how you can not use them in situations that they are not made to be used? incredible this guy
WTF? First time I've watched a "podcast" in which one of the podcasters covers his face with the mic. Damn.
Unlock Full Face for 9.99/mo on OnlyFace
@@michaelzavalawow. Lamest thing I ever heard
staring at my big screen turned off on the background, now I can watch any film on my nreal!
how i use them is if im in a longer car ride or in bed i plug them into the steam deck and leave it on my lap because its heavy and just get my neck comfortable so i can play, also saves a bit of battery life since its not powering a massive screen just the glasses, for when im on my laptop i use them almost as bifocals where if i gaze at the virtual screen i can see it fine enough after messing with the brightness buttons then when i need to look at my laptop monitor i can just focus on it, best way to watch a video and get work done without carrying around a second monitor or fooling around with my phone and aux splitters or bluetooth. i dont have a phone that supports this yet so no real input there but ive been loving my pair, the ghosting wasnt that bad after i properly adjusted them to my face and ive been fine since
I tried watching this dumb review while walking outside on a bright summer day, but it was so dark all I could hear was the stupid words dribbling out of his mouth! WORST PURCHASE EVER!!!
This guy also bought a woolly jumper and then complained that it didn’t keep him dry in 3 hours of torrential rain😅
I own a 4k projector in addition to the XReals and can attest that the glasses look better.
I brought mine and found out the don't work while driving my HGV, rubbish what are Nreal thinking
I just returned them. The lack of software capabilities make these unusable
Thats a big problem too. Hopefully next gens will fix a lot of that!
Well the screen follows your head when you move it because your using the iPhone if you use the app for the glasses it allows you to place screens where ever you want so that you can look away when you want. I feel like you should only truly review it if you used the app with it because it's a million times better with the app
I don't trust a guy who complains about the image boundaries and quality whose face is half hidden behind the MZNOW logo...😂😂😂
😂😂😂 fair
maybe he likes to hide behind it 😆
@@pumpuppthevolume full face can be seen on my OnlyFace for 9.99/mo
😂these glasses dont work at all"! , i went swimming and couldnt see nothing," waste of money😂 bro these are cool if u are on a lunch brake and want to watch a movie in your car on a big screen or if u are on the toilet !
Was trying to watch little mermaid in my pool to get a 4D experience, didn't work
does wit work with PC? like playing world of warcraft on these is possible?
Yeah it can. You get can do USB-C or get the adapter and do HDMI
Any opinions on what an excellent set of goggles / glasses that have HDMI input?
I use goggles to view my drone live video stream from my Mavic-3 through the RC-Pro . (The RC-Pro has HDMI out)
I have the DJI Goggles RE (Racing Edition) which has HDMI input but is much too heavy for my head/neck. (I have ankylosing Spondylitis)
I bought the DJI FPV Goggles v2 but it doesn't support HDMI in.
Thanks!
I’m still looking! If I find some I’ll let you know for sure
lol I can finish my movie when my wife wants to sleep. Or game at weird angles when I don’t have access to a TV.
It has a use case for sure and I agree it will definitely get better over time but staring at the sun while watching Game of Thrones is not one of them.
You are right, I've had mine for over a year now, and to me, the screen is no bigger than this 32" screen of my PC monitor nowhere near my 120” screen has a better picture than my 120” but it is nowhere near that size at all, and the fact that you have to buy an adaptor to connect to anything else other than USB C for it to work crazy, I bought two adaptors the first one came in defective and the second on works to convert it to HDMI cause I wanted to try it with my PC and PS 4 and works, but not good enough to were I want to put it on much, even with that adaptor I hardly use it, I pick it up every now and than and use for an hour or so most times less but that is it waisted money but I will keep it cause it does work as far as giving a picture goes
So after the release of the Xreal Beam are you gonna take this down because it pretty addresses 90% of your problems with it lol
Mine didn't work either. I was on the national swimming competition and I wasn't really feeling it😭
this all sounds like a you problem.. You act like your expecting a miracle device. Of course when there is more light its going to be a dimmer screen what did you expect? They are see through anything that lets light in is going to affect your image quality. As for you using them while moving thats just dumb your asking to get hit by a car. As for the steam deck it probably has to do with the fact that it is trying to upscale an image to 1080p from 720p its never going to be the best when that happens and that is a limitation that is going to happen with a 1080 screen. It really sounds like you didn't do your research and and are complaining because this device didn't live up to your unrealistic expectations.
IT WAS ADVERTISED AS A 👏 MIRACLE DEVICE 👏, MR NREAL!
"Uncovered augmented reality glasses are primarily intended for nocturnal use rather than leisurely strolls under the glaring sunlight. The recognition of this fact does not require erudite scholarship."
My guy didn’t even get the beam device or use the mac software, which unlocks the full capability I think
Screen looks pretty sweet to me. Perfect for playing game laying in bed or on the couch.
1. That's what the sun shield is for. If it's too bright outside use the sun shield. You shouldn't be walking outside and watching a show simultaneously anyway.
2. Use the fixed mode instead of tracking. If I'm on a treadmill my iPad is stationary and does not move with my head.
3. Of course it's not the same quality as a native screen.
4. Apples fault for not conforming to technological conventions, not nreal's fault.
My only gripe with them is the tech is not wireless yet. I hate the dangling cord
Dude, Get Xreal beam to solve your problems
honestly, I ordered the Xreal Air 2 pro but deleted the order shortly after. What I see as red flag is that I only see sponsored review from Tech channels or people getting them for free as review unit.
I'm sure the tech is amazing but I can't understand from youtube how good the image quality is going to be.
I've had a pair of HP G2 V2 and I have some experience with VR but never had any AR glasses. At 515€ price tag I'm not sure the visual quality and overall experience is worth it.
Maybe when they will be availabe on Amazon in my country I'll be buying them... so if not happy I'm able to return them.
Use case: using them with a Rog Ally at home
I found the AR space rather limited. Can't get Chrome and netflix on it
I just use em on airplane rides with my Samsung phone, with the Samsung phone you actually get like a desktop looking experience
This headset has a higher resolution (1080p OLED per eye) than the Steam Deck display (800p). If you're playing with the Steam Deck close to your face, you're either admitting the screen isnt good or your eyesight isnt.
if he used nebula and chose the ar space mode you can set the screen in a specific area and the head bobbing he talked about doesn't happen. Also what were you expecting in really bright places? Also you have a iphone and the adapter should had been the deal breaker i mean you knew about it before purchasing it if you watched all the youtube videos. Don't give a bad review because you didn't do ur research correctly. This kind of technology is still in its early stages and more for enthusiast. I love mine because i have the samsung fold v3 and i don't need to charge a adapter and my job involves sitting in a passenger seat for 8 hours. Even when its bright outside if you look at a solid object u can see the picture pretty well still. I use mine mostly laying on the couch or sitting on the job. Great product if it meets ur lifestyle but if ur buying these to walk around with in broad daylight you should pass. honestly such a bad review for a good product.
What a genius
Never seen someone wanting them to be usable outside, but not going to whine that you at least tried :).
So, takeaway from this is: Use them in areas where you don't need to see the world. Use the black-out-shades, and sit down. The parts about the image quality is a good one, and I find it weird I don't hear others about it. If I would want to use this one a laptop of a steamdeck, I expect a better experience then just having the screen in front of me. If you need to put the glasses so far on front of your nose to get a descent picture that the screen isn't really bigger, they loose their function. Or if the sides are full of aberrations so that you can't see properly (like text on a laptop), they loose their function.
If they are only usable for movies / gaming because the outer edges of the screen just get worse, then I don't know if they are worth their money in the end.
I am gonna recommend a wireless pair once they come out to these type of consumers…
I would call this buyer's problem instead of remorse
I agree don’t buy , i can barely hear the speakers while skydiving , stay away !!
I think the premise of the glasses is not to watch TV 24/7 but at work, people who would want to watch a movie and work at the same time can fo that ofcourse not going outside to watch TV that's what Apple vision pro is for.ofcourse sunglasses are meant for outside use but nobody will use them for that
I put Car Tint film on mine to make them usable outside….
The Xreal Beam will also solve much of the other problems….
Now it has 120hz mode with firmware update
No regret
Michael - I was watching it during a sumami and it got all crazy when the 200 mph wind hit and also it doesn't work when you're having sex. Other than that perfect - Comeon dude think about what you say.
Wrong, Bryon. ❌I used it in 250mph winds and it was fine due to the overcast clouds. Make sure you test it with higher speeds
@@michaelzavala Thanks for that info dude. Great video btw. I want XReal for MSFS 2020 and watching porno :)
The bulky adapter and bad battery life is all on Apple. Even without the glasses their phones tank.
Note 20 Pro will go for ages, and Samsung Dex is like a floating desktop computer.
Eh, I honestly think the price is fine, you have to remember that the HoloLens is like £1500
Good point!
The hololens being even more overpriced does not make the price right.
It's two little screens. It does nothing by itself, but still costs almost the same as the cheapest steam deck.
When it becomes available to the EU it will cost more than the most expensive steam deck due to transport and import costs. Meaning being also more expensive than a budget laptop. The same as a mid+ (or top-) range smartphone.
I used the hololens at work for programming. It’s a great companion to the laptop allowing you to have multiple AR monitors and being able to decorate my room in ar is very nice. It’s super impressive software but definitely overpriced for the actual performance. The hand tracking can be a bit funny as when I try casting a ray with my fingers to grab far away objects it would struggle for a bit to actually recognize I’m pinching my fingers to grab the object.
I’ve been looking for AR glasses to give me that same experience and I’ve been looking at nreal and TCL AR glassed. The nreal can have 3 AR monitors but only for mac atm. If they get a pc update then I’ll get those but TCL does supposedly work for pc but it only has a single display. My hope is that Rayneo x2 will not only support multiple displays but also to 3d objects. The translation feature on that device will be helpful for if I travel to different countries for business trips
@@YoChocoTube they are two different products one is a stand alone and the other is like a the oculus quest and the other like a pc vr that needs to be plugged and rely on a computer to work, same concept and even then sometimes the pc vr headsets that need a cable are more expensive than a quest lol, but is not just two tiny screens.
Its an amazing product. Wonderfull for gamers to play on big screen at night without bothering others.
Hi wait until the beam get released it makes the glasses a lot better
You mentioned things I don't care about, if I get this is to lay in bed and play
for the treadmill, they should add a future to lock the screen, i think that will solve that issue.
They already did
If you have an android you can lock in the screen
@@orderlycollector Now if only they can get this feature for the steam deck
How hard is it not to have your mic block your face?
I know it's a choice but.... geeZ
Pretty difficult. I show my full face on my OF (OnlyFace)
@@michaelzavala excellent points for the response, thanks for that.

I think the headline here and the reviewer is pretty bold in their statement that its bad - it didn't work for them - they highlight the airplane thing - thats the main reason I have mine and its perfect for that - or train/bus whatever you are doing - long distance traveling, these glasses are tits. So its all what youre looking for out of them.
The likes and comments says it all.. I don’t need to see the video anymore
I can see trying them on the treadmill but walking around town watching videos🤨 you might want to pay attention of where you are stepping 😬
i like using them when i go deep sea diving
What a bunch of bs just sit in a dark room and enjoy the show
I have a lot of store points and I can get them for free. And it always makes me VERY reluctant when I get such tech for free for points and this video made it clear to continue collecting for something better :)
store points?

they suck! I got mines last week and i get glare on the top of the glasses and also i can see the out edge of the glasses on the left and right side.
Is so freaking annoying! I watch in my room where is pitch black and i even wear the black cover and clean the lens with a microfiber cloth and I am still seeing all that glare.
Unless I got defective unit! I can't believe no one is talking about the glare when watching movies on this thing!! I'm about to return it!
Yeah I agree, the glare is pretty annoying
best uses: for long train rides in the city
Ermmm I thought I could go on the Hub in private but my mum still caught me?!?! Don't buy....
I think these glasses were never meant for people to walk with them outside or jog with them so you're a little picky there however your other statements are true
please comment on data tracking, needless on-line account set up, and Promotional ads pre installed in the app you use, or special app needed? please i just want this to be a nice display for the love of god i JUST WANT A HEADSET WITH NO BS.
This is the same reason I don't recommend people buying cone ice cream, it is a horrible experience on my pogo stick ,don't buy ice cream is horrible!!!!!

Well what do you expect this is still new technology it’s not like ar glasses have been in circulation for years to perfect things like what this reviewer seems to point out are things that are kinda pushing the limits like how about for a normal person who uses them
Without criticism products wont get better.
Don't buy these, I tried to feed my fish via mouth to mouth while dunking my head underwater and the glasses did t stay dry and keep working...
Great review.
thank you
why are you trying to use them outside who walks and tries to watch a youtube video ofc the sun is gonna block out the light lmao
