100% accurate. Buy literally any other smoker on the market. The feeder/hopper on the SmokeFire jams all the time. Not some of the time, or most of the time - all the f-ing time. It jams more than a ShadowSystems CR920. When the feed isn't jamming you'll get a grease fire. 100% guaranteed. I had a grease fire on my second smoke. My f-ing second one! Weber makes a great kettle grill, and a good gas grill but that is where its ends. I've owned the Weber Q, their electric Lumin and the SmokeFire and they are all garbage, Buy literally anything else. This thing is $750 worth of scrap metal.

Thanks for the genuine comments. No grease fires yet…. Gonna stick with it and see how it goes. I’ve already decided that when the time is up on this grill/smoker, I’m going to go coal and wood next.

Agree 100% - I completely regret buying the SmokeFire - I've had to replace both the auger and the thermocouple - Weber support is SLOW. Here's the video of my issue --> ruclips.net/video/iV81RGWnnKM/видео.html

@@JohnnyRasinske Great video. I had the same thing happen with mine - runaway temperature. My Smokefire just failed me again two weeks ago, so now it's off to the scrap heap.

@@paulkennedy74 Sorry to hear you're another victim - I've found Weber's support to be not very helpful. I've had to completely take apart my grill two times to install the parts they sent to me, and I still have runaway temperature and zero regulation. This was an expensive mistake. Looking at the Camp Chef as a possible replacement.....

Johnny and Paul, I’ve been following these comments and feel both your pain. Great video. Hit too close to home unfortunately. Concerning Weber’s CS, I can’t say I’m disappointed. They’ve been over-the-top helpful at resolving matters. The only snag was the one month wait time for glow plugs, which I’m guessing is a supply chain issue. SearWood should be here in a couple days. Video to follow.

Sorry for the issue bud. Any update on the fix for this? Just a new pin to replace or are they sending you out a new auger assembly? Looks like i should invest in some aftermarket pins to get ahead of this. Any idea on the size needed? I've only got two cooks on mine and so far I'm very happy with the food it puts out. This is my first pellet grill and it's sooo convenient as opposed to my WSM. I was thinking about selling the WSM but think I'll keep her around just in case. Still love playing with 🔥. Hope you get yours back up and running better than ever.

Brian, thanks for checking in. Check out part 3. I’ll see if I can get some specs from the other pin they sent. It doesn’t look like anything you can purchase commercially.

@sambosplace I just watched part 3. Glad they took care of you. Now you have extra parts and hopefully you don't have any more mechanical issues. Weber is discontinuing the SmokeFire and it will be replaced with a new model that's sadly made overseas. From the looks on their website, it will be revealed in a couple of weeks. Hang on to your 🇺🇸 made model if you can..

Sadly, it’s why I purchased the Weber, being 🇺🇸made…. The motor/auger is installed and sadly enough, there’s another issue, I’ll be doing a part 4 shortly. My buddy bought a top of the line Camp Chef, and has had so many problems the first 5 months, they’re sending him a complete new pellet griller/smoker. Trying to remain positive about these electric pellet devices, but I’m leaning towards going coal and wood.
