The story of Bella👇🐒
Meet Bella, a 13-year-old marmoset who now calls Kids Saving The Rainforest sanctuary her home.
Bella was previously in a troop with gummy and Roody, but they began to bully her by denying her access to food and water, and scratching her due to her age.
She now has her own space and is being introduced to fuzzy the sloth.
Bella was confiscated by the Costa Rican government because she is an exotic species originally from Brazil. It's important to note that releasing exotic species into the wild can pose a problem by competing with native species.
At our sanctuary, we handle and groom Bella more than others, so she is comfortable with us during medical procedures. Although Bella may be foreign to Costa Rica, she has found a loving home here at Kids Saving The Rainforest ❤️#nature #primate #monkey #marmoset #wildlife #rainforest
