The good old days
When players offered themselves to fight for the badge
Yeah
Lots of supporters have no good times to remember.
@@MrWorldwideBSTB-sq5tg
Very eloquent.
Yes but City still on the league
Beating arsenal by those numbers, with those players. The club culture was such a winners culture, such a culture of respect for the club. Great leadership, shows how good Ferguson was.
Fergie was excellent
Sir Alex 8 v 2 Arsene Wenger
@user-ti9sf6ip6x 🤣🤣🤣
Alex Ferguson, best of the best!
And now United are crap and Rooney is a crap manager 😅
Pep could never win a premier league with cleverly, Anderson, Jones, or welbeck. Sir Alex is by far and away the GOAT.
On this, I agree
Rooney with his placements on his free kicks we're unbelievable 😮😮😮😊😊😊
True, he was very nice
Guy was a genius!
That team should not have one the toss let alone 8-2....welbeck, cleverly, anderson. half the team wouldnt be picked by ten hag today and yet they are twice the player anyone in the current utd team are. a credit to the shirt and proof of just how good fergie really was and building teams.
Credit to sir Alex
Also proof that the excuses fans make for their team are absolute nonsense. Claiming today's United squad needs half a dozen world class additions before they can actually play proper football is madness; you just need 11 players who all actually give 100% and follow the manager's instructions. You can talk about needing this or that star player once you've played well for a season yet failed to win any trophies, but even newly promoted teams full of championship level players manage to actually look like a functioning team on the pitch most games.
Don’t agree. Those players worked like dogs. The defining quality of SAF’s Manchester United was that his players played like their lives depended on it. How much of that was an innate quality and how much was instilled by the manager/club, I don’t know but it was the standard for United players. It’s not been the same since SAF retired but the players who do it for the badge are still remembered for the right reasons. I’ll happily take players with dogged determination over flair any day.
Ashley Young, superb. Still a fine player today.
He has proven everything; versatility, hard work, respect,
With that players, you cant believe how great sir alex
Imagine, Welbeck and Chicharito leading the attack.
SAF won a league title with this team. Smalling, young, evans, claverly, anderson, jones, .. greatest manager ever
They were ready to fight for the badge, not huge wages
Just shows you that the most important aspect of recruitment is the mentality of the player, not the speed, strength, technique etc. Also that the most important aspect of the manager is his ability to get the players to actually give 100%.
Smalling, Jones, Evans, Claverley, young, welbeck. So the manager can make a difference.......
A very funny selection of squad 🤣
Sir Alex could make ordinary players world class
@@bestfc100The win against Arsenal with the Da Silva twins as wingers and an Anderson/Gibson midfield iirc was even funnier!
Young was world class, especially at Aston Villa but was a victim of the rise of the wingback position.
@@Caskchap exactly, Fletcher for example, absolute mediocre player who played world class for Fergie
ashley young show the master class 🔥🔥🔥
He was doing some nice banana goals
Such a shame he and Valencia both lost their confidence a couple of seasons later and had to be moved down to fullback to still contribute to the team.
Man U were tremendous by my god, Arsenal were an embarrassment that day ! Right from the off they knew they were getting beat. Look at Rosicky when Rooney scores his first free kick - couldn’t care less. Look at the start of the second half when it was only 3-1, not a single player getting forward to help their teammates !!! I love it when rivals just keep piling on the pressure and really go all out to entertain the fans like that 💪
Very nice analysis 😂✍️
You're describing current day Man U🤣🤣🤣
@@balzinderchhabra8804Sad but true...
He proved his class long before this game; as a teenager with Everton and at Euro 2004 with England.Thats why United Signed him in the first place.
🤣
He proved again to doubters in this match
No one is talking about Anderson 1st assist🎉🎉🎉
Sure, it was a high IQ pass to Welbeck
For all the people this week being up stays about how many points Klopp has got compared to Fergie. Please always remember Fergie slapped wenger 8-2 with cleverly, Anderson, smalling,Evans, jones
Klopp couldn't beat Fergie with any team
Iconic goal from Ashley Young!
Young was on his prime
remember this game like yesterday. Rooney was unstoppable and so was young.
Not so young, atleast 26yrs
will my united ever be this good again
Nobody knows but we pray that one day, it becomes great
Какой красавец, дерзкий, напорист,,уважение к руни ❤
🤣✍️
Classic case when match day conspires against you this time arsenal being on the receiving end. It reminds me of the 7 nil loss at anfield.
Yes, a very sad scenario
Me too
That was worse, and not just because of the goal margin. Arsenal we’re absolutely trounced but they did stay engaged and bite back when they could. United’s loss at Anfield exposed everything wrong with the club, the players and the attitudes without any reprieve.
this shows how good Rooney was and Van Persie master of the volley and half volley 2 greats of the Premier League
Yep, rooney won the debate
Welbeck was such an interesting player with so much potential! I don’t remember what commentator said it, but during a Man Utd game he said “Welbeck is a scorer of great goals, but isn’t a great goal scorer.” I remember him saying this because nothing has ever been more true. Welbeck could flick a goal or run 50 yards and score or volley it in, but he couldn’t score 15-20+ goals a season for 10 seasons like a Rooney or Van Persie
He was also injury prone. But was a young promising prospect in early 20 -10s
Rooney a true legend !! Rashford !! Lol maybe could get a game in a Sunday league team ! 😂
I doubt it
Or on a rainy day like Carrick 🤣
For the 2 goal it was an amazing goal by Ashley young
Yes, those banana goals were not popular by then
At least the memories lift our spirits...
Amen
Rooney the legend. The best striker united ever had. 💪
A very complete man
so much fast paced anticipation. we absolutely suck these days, no drive, no idea how to score. gone are the days, united were MAGICAL
Today, watching football will make you cry. Boys are overrated. Signing Hojlund for 60M when he scored 7 goals in the previous season was absolute ridicule
Look at the players here for United. How many would rate better than United today? Very few. The biggest difference is the manager.
I agree with you 😅
And fighting spirit that nowaday manU lacks
Most of them! We would kill for a player with prime Rooney or Park Ji Sung's work ethic, in particular.
@@neilriddell2171Hell, even Anderson would probably be one of the most hard-working players in the squad today! 😄
Back when MU was good at football! Though having said that, Arsenals first goal.... De Gea should've be ashamed of that, that should've been an easy save for him!
De Gea used to save difficult balls and concede easy ones
Can the current United see this please
It cannot. Guys are playing for money as opposed to badge
I broke my bed celebrating that game 😂😂 what a day!!
Whaat!
Which form of celebration was this? 🤣🤣🤣
Those were the days
🤣🤣👌
After the match interview...
Ferguson said that : we knew before the match that we'd win because Arsenal wasn't a good team...
Cleverly, Evans, Jones, ,Smalling, Welbeck, Young, De Gea (became better ofc) but like how can you say that you are dominant when you have 6-7 players who aren't so good??
Crazy staff really! Well done to Ferguson and that's why he's the best ever
I normally say, even to my estate boys, its better to play an ordinary player who is ready to die for the badge, than to field a superstar who doesn't have the clubs affair at his heart
Young was signed that season, he was so good in Aston Villa. Many players declined after Ferguson retired
Goodness me, it must have been awful for Arsenal fans to have witnessed and endured that result. I’m pleased to say as a Liverpool fan I’ve never had the nightmare to see Liverpool get hammered like that by Manure
😂🙌
As a United fan I hate Liverpool, but I do respect that even with at your worst, you always put up a fight against us. The capitulations I've had to see from some of the post-Fergie United teams vs Liverpool and City have been disgraceful.
Football changed for the worst now. Every player gota stick and play in the system cant express them selves. It a shame.
Sure, modern systems that managers themselves cannot understand
tất cả chỉ còn là kỉ niệm,tôi nhớ Manchester Utd của ngày xưa
Good memories
Back when Johnny Sins was a football referee
🤣
Still can't believe this was 8-2 this united team was bang average
Average guys running around Wayne Rooney
Kemenangan besar bagi Manchester United
The greatest was 8-1 against Nottingham, where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored a hattrick. Brows through my recent videos you'll find it
Legend is nesessary❤❤❤❤❤
♥️♥️
Armand Traore was actually worse than Andre Santos omg
🤣🤣
The Legend, The Almighty and The Only One PHIL JONES!
The Maguire's cousin
Sir Alex Ferguson the best coach in MU forever, only dir Alex can give MU title EPL and UCL
Definitely, no other player could dare try that
Back then we had Rooney, De Gea, etc, today we have the eternally injured Martial.
His wages keep on going high while he nurse unknown injuries
That was the same day Ashley Young proved his class too. And lived off another 8 years at Man Utd on the back of this very game. Mind you Rashford proved his class against Arsenal too. See where I am getting at
🤣🤣
When you prove a class against Arsenal, you increase your chances
Young’s art❤
Young was on peak of his career
Rooney proved his class years before this 😂
Sure, this was one of them
The best team ever
The team didn't look so strong on paper anyway
We really miss Rooney he was a great player now the is noone its a disgrace
😅✍️
Utd had alot of brilliant players Rooney, Young, Nani, Giggs, Anderson, Evra, Welbeck etc Even the goal keeper De Gea.
i remember the day. i'd 8-2 be an arsenal fan
Saddest day for Arsenal
On this day I became UTD fan ❤
Until this day, you were still looking for a club to support?
My I totally enjoyed watching that . Annoyed when it ended ….
Why were you annoyed at the end when you had enjoyed watching it?
@@bestfc100 I wanted it to carry on !
Carl Jenkinson was awful 😂 its hilarious to watch this clip again. It gets funnier and funnier
Hahaa, he did some good job in the second goal for Van Persie
Rooney’s movement off the ball is just insane. Even by today’s standards - forwards, especially strikers will have to do a film study of his movement. For someone with such high work rate like tracking back, putting in the defensive shift - he just seems to know when he needs to get forward, where he should be and where his teammates are. That is incredibly hard to keep doing. You’ll be lost and tired in 45 mins if you don’t know what you’re doing. This is what Bruno has been trying to do and failing this season - trying to be everywhere. But Rooney makes it look simple
The guy was a genius, a class way above teammates
I had Rooney and Young in my FPL team that day haha
😂👌
Look at the united team , apart from a few no huge stars ,ALL working hard in a SYSTEM...look at us now !
Losing because Hojlund is injured
@@bestfc100 You have put 3 good performances in all season
And that's when van persie decided he needs to go to manchester
🤣🤣
De gea deserved better . He dedicated his career to united . makes me sad .
He used to make ugly errors but, twice or thrice per season. Not like Onana who does it every weekend.
I think the issue was his huge salary
I loved De Gea but I don’t feel to sad about a bloke who earned £350k per week FFS.
The scoreline would lead you to believe the keeper had a mare, but the truth was far from it..
🤣🤣✍️
I had £20 on a Rooney hatrick, happy days
How did you play it
Crazy that the 2 centre backs were both there this time last year and Evans is still there
He's the committee advisor, ministry of defense
@@bestfc100 Jones?
@danl9855 Jones is the secretary of the committee. He don't even train. But earns
@@bestfc100 fair play to him , was a good centre back in the day
@danl9855
🤣🤣
He played once with Maguire and you saw what happened.
The club fear, he may influence other defenders to grow his direction 🤣
Wen I saw that volly for Everton I new wat was coming
🤣🤣✍️
that was the day van persie thought "well..if i cant beat them ill join em"
Hahahaa, it wasn't long before he made a decision
Misty watercolour memories, of the way they were.
Exactly 💯😂
Good
Thanks
Ok
Эх! Когда-то была команда Манчестер Юнайтед, а сейчас только название...😖
Я помню этот матч. Радости не было предела
I don't know if it will one day come back
@@bestfc100 I really hope so. First of all, sell the club to someone who loves football, not business. build a new stadium, a new modern training complex. kick out the bald Ten Hag and invite a top-class trainer.
@@blackgrindersye I agree with all but not everything can be down so quickly and I love Old Trafford but needs to be rebuilt or upgraded
Ashley Young ran off celebrating as soon as the ball left his boot
He was pretty sure, it was a goal
Onana has your number one spot........🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
How was that a pen at 8 mins, the lightest of contact on the shoulder and he goes down, imagine how frustrating it would have been back then when ManU got the softest free kicks all the time
His name was Howard Webb
Could have easily been 12-4 😂😂
How 🤣🤣
Сейчас о такой игре МЮ - можно только мечтать...
A very sad state
Days when being an Arsenal fan was series of sad fairy tale..😂😂
Archaic management styles, stingy businesses, bad players, even the good ones were unwilling 😂😂😂....look at the lacklustre performance from Rocisky & Co. One could tell Van Persie had enough that day!😂 Oh My!
Imagine having Djorou, Traore, Jekinson & Koscienly against prime Welbeck, Nani, Young & the raging Rooney! Just dead man! 😂 Just dead!
The bench was just so annoying too!😅😅😅...The only one with 20% potential in there was Oxlade!
Sincerely, the scoreline of 8 was being wasteful. Should have been 15 at least!😂😂😂
Phewww! What a day to be alive and whipped!!!😂😂😂
Forever Arsenal ✌🏻
🤣🤣🤣🤣🙌
A couple more goals and they would have beat City to the title that year.
City were lucky to have Aguero and Balotelli at the same time
United was on crack in that game
They were enjoying the showcase of villains
MOTM Ashley young
He played decent football
The time when United's average players played above their level. Meanwhile, Arsenal's average players were just average.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Where the feck are united now :(, its sad to see
They are struggling to bounce back maybe one day
Evans still play for mu 😭
Barely 13 years later. He had played some good years before that.
When man utd were monsters
SAVAGES
Every player was fighting for the badge.
The day he showed his class against Arsenal, he was an Everton player.
How much did he do?
@bestfc100 If you don't know that, then this video is pointless.
Both of those teams wouldn't stand a chance today. Both would be struggling for top 6 if that
I differ, with those managers, it wouldn't be the way you claim. Though teams look weak on paper
Do you mean player-wise or tactics? I'd gladly swap out the entire current squad for the one United had back then, and as for tactics you can claim that today's Brighton team would beat every CL- and World Cup winning team pre-2000, but what's the point of that claim?
🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
😘😘
the boys
When the dressing room was not divided
Really wish MU learn
This team will be back very soon
I wonder what Rooney would say now if he could see the state of Man Utd. RIP Roone Dog
He would cry until the cows come home
I can't watch the video, the way the camera keeps jumping around does my head in!
Sorry bro 🤣
Really? I thought I was extremely impatient with that kind of thing, but I didn't even notice anything in this video.
Painful to watch this seeing how bad united are now.
We put our hopes in Maino, a DM
When Red Devils still dey hot
The second last season of the mighty United
The funny thing is united today would bottle a 6 goal lead...
🤣🤣🤣
Terrible
i was at that game
Ooh, nice memories there
That Arsenal Keeper is the current Onana now. Swallowing goals
Which club currently?
👍🏼
Great mature Rooney
Best team ever
Team looked weak on paper eitherway
Did you never see the 2003 AC Milan team then?
@jakeheke
Best team ever for Man Utd, After 2010
@@bestfc100 ahhh, the beauty and effectiveness of specifics.
Did you not see the 1994 or 1996 teams
Menchester and Ronaldo destroyed arsenal many times ☠️
🤣🤣🤣
Mad how this team just disintegrated When fergie retired
Awful signings. That's where problems start
@@bestfc100The first of which was the manager. Moyes was too scared to play anything but his strongest 11, despite half of them being either old or injury-prone enough that their minutes should have been carefully managed. He ran those players into the ground, and then had to rely on rusty second-choice players towards the end of the season, instead of just copying Ferguson's way of doing things.
Jones cleverly smalling wellbeck players we never rated but one thing bout them they tried and ran and as for Ashley Young what a player he was gave everything every game always in first if a teammate was in bother I'd take all them back today those wasters n cowards there now are not a patch on them great days I don't think they'll ever come back that group were honoured to play for united 54 years following united now I could easily not bother watching them
Boys today do not play for the badge. They do for huge wages
You are spoiled! you should have seen the 1974 team, one thing that history teaches us is that teams can come back and can even be transformed very quickly by the right man. Look at Forest under Clough second division to Champs of Europe in a few seasons. What could the right man do with a monster like Manchester United.
ouch!!!
🤣
It should have been 11 guys i dont know why we got comfortable after netting the 8th, they will never do that to us.
It can never happen
Is that the same season United lost the league because they did not score enough goals?
Yes 🤣🤣🙌
What was jones doing for the 2nd Arsenal's goal😂😂
Jones is the former version of Maguire.
Rooney showed his class years before this...
True, somewhere in 2004
