Wet plate photograph
The process of developing and framing a photo of a piece of glass was made into a movie.
film:Takagi Hiharu
What a wonderful portrait and wonderful "jewel box" for this photo !
Brilliant presentation!
Amazing work!!
Обалденная работа! Вы настоящий Мастер!
This deserves more views. Well done!
Exceptional work and truly unique presentation!
That is some serious craftmanship there!
Realy nice finished portrait , an icon .
Stunning !
Very nice Ambrotype.
I especially love how you mounted it. Genius!!!
Well, that's great, nice work !
Wow you are so talented!! Thank you for sharing that!
Beautiful!! I am going to try your sealing process with copper tape and solder. Two questions: 1) what are you painting onto the copper tape with a small brush? and 2) what are you using on the finished soldering? Is that some kind of polish? Thank you so much for sharing your amazing process!
My guess for 1 is flux for the solder
Amazing work :)
I love it!
Great stuff.
brilliant work
What do you use for the black backing? Very nice work! Wow
what did you apply to the back of the glass to make it opaque and no longer a negative?
wonderful!
Exquisito, de los mejores!!!
Nice job. What's that tape around the glass, that sealed the plate?
That's adhesive copper tape, which is normally used for joining stained glass pieces. It gives you a solderable surface, which wouldn't be possible with just the glass.
それは本当に美しい仕事です。これらの芸術作品を販売する実行可能な市場はありますか、それとも純粋に個人的なものですか?
Nice!!
May I ask what is the black material you are using on the back of the plate?
Nice...
How many watts of power in your strobe do you use ?
i saw Polish "spirytus" from Polmos :)
Hello I am a subscriber to South Korea.
There is no information about collodion wet plate in South Korea. So I want to ask you some questions.
I am using a poeboy collodion (Cadmium bromide is not available in South Korea )
The picture is still blurry or the contrast is poor. I'm not sure if it's a silver nitrate issue or a developer issue. Collodion was definitely well made. The developer made it well by adding iron sulfate, acetic acid and ethanol. But the picture is blurry. I am doing an ambro type. Is it a problem with silver nitrate? Specific gravity is exactly 1.07. If the pH of silver nitrate is about 5~6, can the picture be blurry or the contrast is weak?
Hello there! On facebook there are multiple groups ( Collodion bastards, Wet plate collodion photography,...) there are many helpful people that could answer your questions!
what is he applying with the swab on the edges of the glass plate at the beginning?
Albumen, aka egg white. Some people do that to keep the collodion from peeing away from the edges of the glass plate.
@@calvinf9218 I've looked into it and found it out. thanks for the reply, very kind of you.
You don’t really need an edge of albumen if your plate is clean.
wow! super!
