Remarkable !! Ppl in Ava all look so well to do, very impressed. My grandmother says everyone was taught to take pride in their appearance in those days. Regardless of where you went in this great country, most ppl were happy, friendly and dressed sharp. All need to return to having pride in themselves and for 🇺🇸 America. Long live Ava!!
My great grandfather from Dawson Springs Kentucky still wore his hat to town when it had gone out of style and great grandma wore her hair in a bun. Poor simple folks that were very loving and giving with the little they had. I always admired him in his hat with the little feather in his cap.
Marvelous Time Capsule of Ava MO in 1937. A film maker allowed the city of Ava to alert the City, County, and “Hollers…far and near to be in Ava for the Filming… by looks of the decorations being put up for Christmas … it must have been around Thanksgiving. Everyone waited to decorate for Christmas till the Saturday after Thanksgiving (must have been in the City Charter…?). Music is great… but if you recognize any one… please post ther Name,
