Thanks john! I will try this tonight when i get home. I have mine connected to 5 102amp agm batteries and 4 100 watt solar panels. The load is around 500 watts. I'm in North Carolina and the company i bought it from is in California, so it slow going. I may open up the case and check the fuses. Thanks
serious quality, cant believe it still worked with all that dust, solar input blew me away , thats something i never expected to see in an inverter. youre right , dont buy the cheap stuff youll be sorry.
+closertothetruth They are fucking bullet proof. I have 2 of the TN 3000 and 2 of the TN 1500 and the one in the video is the newest one at 3 years old. All run non stop.

Looks very high quality, very impressive that it could survive a shop environment.
The one in the video was in a job trailer. It is has been in constant service since purchase as well as 2 in my house and one in my motor home. Now another is being added to my shop as we continue to get away from modified sign on most applications.
I still have the big Northern Tool Inter-tech running all the lights, most outlets and heavy tools in my shop but it does well and after almost 2 years its been very strong and resistant to faulting.

I have supplied the same product as 1000w ... I have connected the old type big refrigerator and I also worked 750w hand bowl .... the fan of the device did not turn...Is it working when it's too hot...
Hey John, thanks for your help. I found out what my problem was and it was not the Meanwell. A external battery fuse I had installed went out. The Meanwell is rolling again! Thanks again, Also how is gray matter doing?

Hey John, great video. I have a TN-1500 112F model that I bought back in February, hooked it up 2 weeks ago, was working fine, connected to (5) 102 amp hour AGM batteries and (4) 100 watt solar panels 12 volt system. I notice last night no lights on the display, even though everything was being powered, about a 500 watt load, tried to reboot, no go. My question is if you know, will it void the warranty if I open this unit up? My problem may be a fuse. Let me know what you think. I have reached out to the company I bought it from and they are talking to Meanwell. Thanks
Not sure due to where you got it, but I did have mine shut down and disconnected the battery, let it sit over night and after hoking it back up its worked fine every since. These can't handle faulting over volt very many times, the fuses in them are simple to change though.
Where can I get my mean well TN 1500 112a repaired in United states in Maine.
Difficult to say, since covid'eo they stopped taking any for repair in both former locations, one was in Dallas, the other in Michigan and now they no longer exist. Depending on what happened to it, a average tech can usually handle it though.

I've ground chassis, but does the AC ground wire needs grounding too?

DO NOT GROUND IT TO YOUR HOME WIRING or ground the AC circuit, the post on it must have its own ground if you wish to ground it, but the ground post is not even required to make it work right. Its there to satisfy safety ratings not for real function.

Hi john, are you happy with the built in solar charge controller? as much as I know they have a basic charger with no equalization function which might ruin the lead acid batteries in long term. what would you say about the charger? Thanks.

Јохн Даниел I did some research and found that the inverter has equalization charge function which can be adjusted by using paid monitoring software.
If you don't want to use the internal solar controller since it is PWM, I found and bought a awesome and slightly cheaper 40 amp MPPT that is a much higher 150 volt capable thats actually a Tracer but in Horizontal layout. All internals are the same. +John Slugger It never thermal over heated. Just cleaned the other one under my desk today and it was not very dirty after almost 3 years. The fact this older one was a;ways ran at 70%+ of its rating and never over heated is a testament that its a high quality unit.
If it’s getting this dirty you should be using dust filters
