I'm so grateful that you called out the power imbalance and the toxicity of Darklina!! That scene with the antlers really showed such a mutilation of Alina's body and consent and no one on RUclips has really touched on it, but you! So I'm super happy about that
They changed the stag amplifier from being a collar in the books to being embedded into her skin in the show to sort of show how grotesque the nature of killing a living being to claim its magical power was. Same goes for Zoya's tiger claw bracelet becoming a single tiger claw poking out of her wrist. But, because Alina did not actually kill the stag and showed it mercy and also because it seemed to be calling to her all throughout (as evident from her dreams and their first interaction), she will be able to do what she does in episode 8. Also, I absolutely love your reactions, I feel my own emotions mirrored in them and I just feel so seen that it's the best thing in the world.
